Me too. I've been in a lot of pits, at a TON of different shows/festivals, and I can honestly say that the absolute most brutal motherfucking pits were at hatebreed.
as much as i love HB's hardcore roots and the fact that they've stuck to them all this time, this fast style suits them well. i hope to hear more slayeresque songs on this new album
***** i didn't get in to hatebreed until like 2004 and the first album I really got into was Rise of Brutality and I've loved them since then. Those early albums and eps are great. I've loved hearing them evolve over the years but obviously stay true to their hc roots
Jason LovesABR Hatebreed has always been great to me. They just have that simple formula that always works. If it ain't broke, don't fix it (unless you want to get heavier)
Quality of lyrics was always as good, just less political and more social and moral, which is why they where less relatable, also Hatebreed STARTED as a crossover band, they just went further to the core side for a bit after the album The Rise of Brutality, and slowly graded back, though they haven't changed much so they are back to Perseverance style quickly. Though, they where peaking between two genres sometimes in a single album. Stay metal!!! \m/\m/
@@akumatensei5466 They picked up more of their influences over time and took on more of a speed metal modification. This is their hardest hitting album I would say, it's solid all the way through. I think Rise of Brutality was an eye opening time for Jamie and the whole crew to get back to their roots. Been a fan since the demo days Satisfaction is the Death of Desire is one of the few great debut albums.
When I listened to "The divinity of purpose" I got a, "We're getting older so let's slow down a bit but still be hardcore. (Assuming hatebreed would continue to do that in future albums) Then... Listening to this.. They've come back stronger than ever.
seen them last year in May in Cedar Rapids with Slipknot!!! just the best concert i've ever experienced! and i was 42 years old at the time too! no joke!
David Theisen bought this digital and got the vynl digital pack got V.I.P meet and greet Here in Jacksonville and got the Flag. Need that CD Format now
I'm on my friends phone and my personal favorite Hatebreed show was March 19th. 2018 Mr. Smalls Theater Millvale Pa USA. 20 YEARS OF DESIRE 15 YEARS OF PERSEVERANCE TOUR opening band TWITCHING TONGUES, THE ACACIA STRAIN, CROWBAR, and HATEBREED (headlined)
+Wenxing Wang yeah.. I loved the groove that the difinity of purpose had, and most previous hatebreed albums.. I'm sad now xD I loved the definity of purpose like I love my wiener.
so much energy. love it. makes me want to lift heavy things, pace up and down, jump, and fight all at the same time. first listen I wasn't sure on this direction, being so political and thrash - metal, but it quickly grew on me. can not wait for this album!!
If you can jam and groove like Crowbar, Throwdown, Biohazard, and integrate some hints of Machine Head And Slayer. You get my vote. Well, they just got it!!! Great stuff.
This song encompasses exactly what I want to address with my music. Got no $$$ right now but hopefully the cooler nights will yield some promise for Uber Eats delivery around dinnertime. It's all I can manage to keep for more than a few months without getting laid off. That or feeling useless and like I'm holding a job that would be better relegated to someone else's abilities and quitting as a result.
this song needs to be heard on a very larger range. Instead of the shit fluffy bullshit that's spread on the radio. Play this song to. cleanse the brainwashed. Powerful words from a very power ful group fucking love it man.
I went to Best Buy 2 weeks ago and they didn't have the new album but they had this single for 1.99 $. How stupid is it that on the day it comes out they don't have it? Best Buy of all places.
bought the cd yesterday at best buy, new releases section. best buy blows, i had em look up to see if they had any strapping young lad and they didnt have shit.
Pete Lehner Best buy doesn't even have any good horror movies anymore either. The last 3 times I went there I bought Hatebreed A D single, Lamb Of God Strum and Drang, Lacuna Coil Broken Crown Halo Special Edition, Korn Paradigm Shift Best Buy Exclusive, Korn Greatest Hits Vol. 1 (Echo Friendly edition). Best Buy only rarely has good stuff anymore. I had to go to Amazon to get Hatebreed self titled album best buy exclusive version cause they didn't have it.
This song needs to be heard everywhere in 2023
i was in a hatebreed moshpit once. ONCE.

Me too EPIC got a high five from jasta

Really? I've been in every single one of the 7 shows I've seen ! 5 bones broke in different pits over 70+ shows... 38 and still going

Straight up thrash. I didn't know Hatebreed had it in them. I'll have to give this album a listen.
+cabalofdemons Oh yes, they do. Slayer is one of their major influences.
Hatebreed keeping it real about what's going on in America. Especially after today
And today, and Yesterday, and the day before..
Hatebreed getting more metal? You don't see me complaining. Also Jasta really upped the quality of the lyrics.
Jason LovesABR Hatebreed has always been great to me. They just have that simple formula that always works. If it ain't broke, don't fix it (unless you want to get heavier)
Jason LovesABR Jasta seems to have lost some weight 😜

Hatebreed was always a "Metallic Hardcore" band and that's normal to see they bringing speed / thrash riffs to the hardcore punk sound
I will buy the album if all the songs sound heavy like this
Slayer-like riffage, pure anger, straight-in-da-face lyrics...who need coffee?
Love that breakdown. Those thrashy riffs with those lyrics....amazing! ITS TIME TO RETHINK THIS DREAM THAT YOU CALL AMERICAN!
"A burdened soul once searching for liberty" - hardcore vedanta. Love the lyrics from this album. A very awakened point of view.
God damn, if the rest of the album as anything like this, I'll be buying it.
Hatebreed had changed over the years. I'm still a big fan but I miss the old spirit of "The Rise Of Brutality"
+A Scrawler's Creation indeed
its a great song to listen to while drinking a cup of tea and enjoying a scone.
Classic Hatebreed. can't wait for the new album.
When I listened to "The divinity of purpose" I got a, "We're getting older so let's slow down a bit but still be hardcore. (Assuming hatebreed would continue to do that in future albums)
Then... Listening to this.. They've come back stronger than ever.
Killer guitar playing
The slayer riffing sounds sweet with jameys voice!! Old school... But hatebreed allways delivers anyways... Just brutal :)
I didn't know metal can spit bars, dang they go HARD!
Heavy as Fuck. My favorite band ever !! Hatebreed rules
fight fire with fire you`ll se everyone's burning
When they ask me to name the best Slayer albums, I keep saying: "the two latest LPs of Hatebreed"
Hell, I miss some concerts.
I need this as prescription for my mental health
Seemed a little short for me but, DAMN that was powerful. Awesome to hear Hatebreed again.
My neck broke at 1:34
Seeing them next month. Can't wait!
i fricking LOVE every Hatebreed album!!! they never disappoint me!
Same for me! Awesome band
seen them last year in May in Cedar Rapids with Slipknot!!! just the best concert i've ever experienced! and i was 42 years old at the time too! no joke!

they are not hard to find!!! LOL so many people saying cds are out of style! if they are then why are they still on the shelves at stores??
I'm on my friends phone and my personal favorite Hatebreed show was March 19th. 2018 Mr. Smalls Theater Millvale Pa USA. 20 YEARS OF DESIRE 15 YEARS OF PERSEVERANCE TOUR opening band TWITCHING TONGUES, THE ACACIA STRAIN, CROWBAR, and HATEBREED (headlined)
serisouly, I feel a little bit of a slayer's "repentless" vibe
+Wenxing Wang which is not a bad thing, at all.
+Wenxing Wang repentless? You're mistaken, repentless sounds like everything else slayer made. Don't be offended
+Red Hat You're mistaken, your opinions are not facts
+Wenxing Wang yes
+Wenxing Wang yeah.. I loved the groove that the difinity of purpose had, and most previous hatebreed albums.. I'm sad now xD I loved the definity of purpose like I love my wiener.
what a banger
That grooving endpart is absolutely one of the strongest Hatebreed parts ever!!
so much energy. love it. makes me want to lift heavy things, pace up and down, jump, and fight all at the same time. first listen I wasn't sure on this direction, being so political and thrash - metal, but it quickly grew on me. can not wait for this album!!
After 1:33 its pure thrash and i fucking love it
2:18 best part
gives me chills
Shit is off the wall brother 💪🏻
Damn this is heavy as hell, Hatebreed is one of those bands that prove you don't need necessarily need to be extreme to be brutal.
hatebreed doing thrash ? YEAHHHHH THIS SHIT IS AWESOME !
Hell yeah Hatebreed is back and sound better than ever.
Dam those lyrics are beyond powerful. Can wait for the album it's going to destroy.
If you thought that was powerful listen to a gluttonous abomination by acrania.
+Mr Blobz acrania, fuck yes.
Great song!!! Can't wait for the new album!!! Hailing from the Detroit thrash scene here!!!
This is the song that I first heard from them, instantly hooked! Thank you Hatebreed.
HATEBREED IS BACK !

If you can jam and groove like Crowbar, Throwdown, Biohazard, and integrate some hints of Machine Head And Slayer. You get my vote. Well, they just got it!!! Great stuff.

Hatebreed NEVER disappoints.
The Slayer feeling is amazing. Can't wait for their tour.

Man, the thrash-metal style and political lyrics suit them really well. This kicks ass.
The song the breakdown.Spirits of the slain.....Its time.........
the beginning may be thrash, but the second half is pure hardcore. The last chorus is so good i almost wanted to cry. Jamey's vocals sound immense.

Whaaat?! When did Hatebreed start to make thrash?
awesome album I can't wait for their new album
I was kinda worried about how this new album was gonna be. If it's anything like this song, I believe it's gonna be fucking epic!!🤘🏻🇺🇸
this song needs to be heard on a very larger range. Instead of the shit fluffy bullshit that's spread on the radio. Play this song to. cleanse the brainwashed. Powerful words from a very power ful group fucking love it man.
