    From THE JUNGLE
Performed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and the National Symphony Orchestra of Romania
    Conducted by Cristian Măcelaru
    Rose Theater
    January 12, 2019
The National Symphony Orchestra of Romania, conducted by Cristian Măcelaru, joined forces with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis on its first visit to the United States. The JLCO has a proud and longstanding tradition of collaborating with orchestras from all over the world, and the NSOR has earned a reputation for delivering virtuosic performances of the highest level.
For the first time at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the orchestras performed Wynton Marsalis’ acclaimed original work, THE JUNGLE. Commissioned in 2017 for the 175th Anniversary of the New York Philharmonic, THE JUNGLE was originally performed to sold-out crowds for five nights straight.
THE JUNGLE is about what we see in our city today-the beautiful, the bleak, and the ever-present but often-overlooked commonalities of our shared humanity.

I saw these guys and the Sydney Symphony orchestra play this and many other pieces in 2023. Life changing music, next level art and mastery from all! Truly spiritual moments, and I'm an athiest. Just when you think Wynton is "just a great jazz trumpet player" he says "hold my beer".

Wynton is a impactful composer as well as educator, vanguard, ambassador and great example of what hard work and dedication will manifest!
I don't always agree with his purist views, but he, in my opinion, is one of the last great scholar- intellectuals- composers-performers left! He is totally unrepentant and he can definitely back it up and, because of his ethics and integrity, he will be go into the annuals of history!

Daily,my work-journey flows with worshiprayers set to The Song of songs KingdoMuseek as my Heavenly-mind is worded by The Gospel Truth through THE HOLY SPIRIT! This agrees with our FATHER'S good pleasure! Many thanks! HalleluYah!
