I've been watching you for several years now and I'm surprised by how much I learn from you, someone so much younger than me. Always learning in life. Allison, thank you so much for what you do. I will be 18 years old in April and I am so scared and worried. I all your dreams, hopes and goal help me to see how I could make adulthood better for myself. For example, having a rest day not worrying about paying bills, cleaning and everything else you have to do as an adult.

I was crying listening to you talk about your miscarriage. I had such a similar experience trying to control when baby was born and what month I wanted to get pregnant and lost that baby to miscarriage. Gods timing really is perfect because I’m sitting here on the other side of it nursing my rainbow baby crying as you talk knowing that he would not be here if not for my baby in heaven. 🥹 God’s plan is perfect and when you get to hold your rainbow baby in your arms someday it will make the pain worth it although you’ll never forget the one you lost. I use to go to Clearwater Beach in Florida in the early risings at 7am and fall asleep on the beach to the waves. Ugh, miss those days .🌞

Oh yes dear Allison! Trust in Gods timing with your baby and family! With modern medicine, it’s easy to want to control “life”, but God is the true Giver of Life. I’ve have 5 babies now, and only 1 came expected (and not the first☺️). Keep trusting in God!

Funnily, and candidly, I have avoided enjoying this video because often we compare a lot of different pieces of our lives, especially of those we admire. I have wanted to sit and watch this, and dream with you, but I held back for fear of having to grow in uncomfortable ways, like sitting and thinking of ways to strive for a beautiful way of life. Step closer to my goals. And just “maintain” those steps as you say, to continue to grow. But when I finally opened this video, I’m quickly and swiftly reminded that you’re a friend through a screen. Whom I’ve grown to love and enjoy sitting with and being taken along, on your own journey in life. Thank you for always being so genuine, encouraging, sweet, reflective, and inspiring. Hi Allison, I am one of your older viewers ( giggle giggle) I have watched you video since your college days. What drew me to you in the beginning was a few things. Your love of life, your love for Brandon and family but mostly for your love of God. Back then I was struggling over the loss of my infant son and I was honestly looking for things that would inspire me to have more joy and light heartedness in what I was watching. You also brought me back closer to God. It was not long after one of my lovely friends gave me a framed poem of “Footprints”. You have grown so much over the years. Just like the butterflies that are so beautiful in your garden. I am so excited for your future and to continue to learn so recipes, hostess ideas and the beauty you bring to your home. Allison: there are so many things I’ve learned to appreciate and respect you for, but the one thing that inspires me the most about you is your joy for the Lord and your love of life.
It is something that I have observed throughout your videos - through all life’s ups and downs - it seems to just be something so ingrained in you that you cannot help but let it shine in everything you do. Every time I watch one of your videos I am reminded of all the blessings of life - all the incredible things God has gifted me. I am newly married and while it is such an answered prayer and I love my husband more than anything, I have such a bad tendency towards frustration and thankfulness. Your videos really remind me of how important it is to reflect on the beauty of life and not take anything for granted. The Lord has truly blessed you with the gift of joy. It is something so pure and holy that we really need more of in this world.

Allison - My multiple miscarriages brought me closer to God as it highlighted that we are not in charge. Some people pull away from their faith under those circumstances and some people grow closer to their faith. Our journey to parenting was not at all what we expected when we took in my husband’s 16 year old homeless and addicted nephew. We became what he calls his Maunty and Duncle. That was in 2008 and he is a High School teacher now. It was not what we had imagined, of course we had imagined perfect babies, but parenting isn’t a perfect journey - ever. You and your husband have already begun the parenting journey, whether you had a baby or not. And you know that if you are blessed with a baby it will be loved. I wish you and your family all the best in 2024, and know that you will manage with grace whatever life has in store for you. You are a light in our lives, and a creative force. Sharing all of your sides, made you more human in our eyes. May the blessings you desire befall you all in good time. I am glad our support has meant something to you, as there are days when your videos literally and figuratively inspire me to bring light into my life and explore my creative side. I feel the exact same about 2023. It was the year that brought me the highest highs but also the lowest lows, a lot of heartbreak woven into the everyday joy. I found out I was pregnant with our first baby, after 14 months of trying, on August 15th. 11 days later, I found out I was experiencing a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and bleeding internally 💔 we lost our baby that day and my right Fallopian tube. Within those 11 days, I experienced the greatest joy of my life (as all I’ve ever dreamed of is motherhood) but also the greatest heartbreak.
Our journey to grow our family has been anything but easy. It has not gone at all how I expected, and has been such a tough lesson in surrendering and trusting God’s timing. Like you said, it’s not always easy and it’s hard to understand why things happened the way they did, but holding onto that faith and our trust in Him has been such an anchor throughout this season.
Something I love about you, is that you also romanticize life and trying to find the magic in the little moments. This is something I strive for as well. And this year has taught me that joy and grief can coexist. Not an easy year by any stretch of the imagination, but grateful for the gift of our angel baby, however short our time together was 👼🏼
Praying our dreams of motherhood are fulfilled in 2024 🙏🏻

As a momma of 1 hoping intensely for baby 2 after two miscarriages, I feel for you. We will be vulnerable to heartache because motherhood is so worth it. Keep being soft ❤ something my mom shared with me after my first loss that really helped me is that God wasn’t taking my perfectly healthy baby away from me, but giving my baby a gift by sparing him from a life of pain that would have come with the defect that ended the pregnancy, he protected us in that way. It’s still hard, but with that in mind I could get past the anger I felt at God and cling instead to his hope. Sending love to all the mommas at heart. ❤❤❤

2024 has this vibe of being more wholesome and living in a simplistic way so I love that you mentioned doing more toned down hang outs. Prime example that it doesn’t have to be extravagant to be able to get the same benefit of the idea ❤ my goal is to not over consume or be over influenced to buy stuff. Lol staying off social media and being more present in my reality will be my goal so I can live that out 😅

After the stillbirth of our first son in 2022, we welcomed his brother this past September. My goal for 2024 is to be the best mom I can for him and nurture our family by living out the fruits of the spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, & Self-Control ❣

I adore the way you romanticize the little things. It's truly beautiful. I want to virtually hug you. I know this loss has been so challenging for you and your husband, and I think it has been challenging for us to watch such a beautiful and loving couple struggle with one of the hardest loses. I loss my oldest full term back in 2012 and I gave up on life.. for quite a long time. Once I cleaned up my mental health and consumption and focused on allowing time to take place if and when another child would enter our lives, we got pregnant with our beautiful baby boy. We later had another boy and our wold is filled with so much purpose and joy! The time will come for you, but you are right, the timing is not for us to decide. Rest your body and mind❤ your time will come❤

I am in the same boat, I haven’t had a miscarriage but me and my husband have been trying over 2 years and it hasn’t happened for us and it is hard but it really is all in God’s timing and I hope that your timing is soon! 💕
