It seems so unfair that this man is in another fight for his life. His will to live, his positivity after losing his legs are awe inspiring to me. Quite frankly im not half of the man Alex Zanardi is. What an awesome human being. I truly pray he is given another chance. If anyone deserves it, its him. Please take some time and pray for this man. The world is so much better with him in it.
Is it even possible to not like this guy? Humble, funny and a fighter like no other... Keep fighting Alex. You have been challenged like not many people do,but if someone can get through this, its you buddy!
I first met Allesandro when he started driving for Chip Ganassi and I was working as a pit lane official for CART and he had such a positive attitude and a great sense of humor -- until he got in the car, and then it was ALL work! Then in the first race at California Speedway, he crashed in T-4 on Friday and again in almost the same place on Saturday (I still have a part of his wheel rim and a small piece of carbon fiber from his car), he just does not have a slow button when it comes to racing. That he has come back yet again from another crash speaks volumes to his strength and courage. He is and will continue to be an inspiration going forward!
@@Dalesi Thank you for the message. It gave me an opportunity to watch this video again. I had forgotten about this. My prayers are with him under the current circumstances he's dealing with now. One of my all time favourite racers in any motorsport series.
The most grateful person ihave ever seen. Tha doctor said he s so happy when he woke frome comma, not sad nor angry about situation. Just tears of joy to have his wife and kid back in his arms
Remarkable guy. He was my first fav racer. In fact he, made me a fan of racing back in 1997....reynard honda target car. He is the reason why i initially startes to watch racing. Thank you alex!
if there was ever some one worthy of the title Iron Man it would be Zanardi my god I cant believe this guy actually exists much love and hope you have a good recovery from the handbike incident, I bet the truck was a write off.
I don't think Alex can be stopped. In 2020 he was paracycling in Italy, lost control and collided with a truck. He was in an induced coma for ages, and over the course of late 2020, regained sight, hearing and now, verbal communication skills. I mean honestly, he'll be flying next.
I fell down the youtube rabbit hole and ended up here. What an amazing man and story. And to think that just two years ago, he had another terrible accident but this time with his handbike during a race. He lost control and slammed head-on into a truck. He suffered severe head and facial injuries and lost both his sight and hearing, though he regained them later. During his extended recovery time at home, his house caught on fire from some faulty solar paneling equipment and he was hospitalized for almost 3 months at the beginning of this year. I can only hope that he makes a full recovery from these last two incidents. He seems like a remarkable man.
In 2020, while competing in a handcycling paralympic race in Italy, Alex was very seriously injured in another crash. He has bounced back somewhat, but how much can a man take? This guy is amazing...
This man should be knighted wot he has achieved and wot hes been through inspiration to all not people like Lewis Hamilton who's nothing compared to Alex,God boss you and recover soon
are you for real? yes in f1, but not with this. Mercedes did not make him a 1 billion dollar wheelchair with 20% better aerodynamics then the other competitors. please, just don't...
are you actually stupid?so having lots of money gives him the tools to survive blood loss that doctors said was impossible.to then get back into a racing car in a world championship and win multiple races again.then to win gold medals at 2 olympic games and then to go into ironman events.yes thats all down to the money isnt it.god ppl like you would clearly just crumble if that accident happened to u as you clearly have no drive, ambition or the guts to pick urself up when ur down

What an inspiring man..I am praying for his recovery at this moment
I hope he will win his next fight...
don't we all, looking out for you brother...
lets pray
He's still alive. Holy shit.
Never give up = Alex Zanardi
@@tomatenmark2679 He just got let out of the hospital for the first time, 18 months after the crash
What a champion, what a legend. Words can’t describe what this man is made of.

Fun fact, he actually won a gold medal in Rio 2016.
Not only Rio but also in London in 2012
2 gold and a silver
And done Daytona 24 this year
A very remarkable human being. A legend in my mind.
love your profile picture bro !

And Niki Lauda got a movie! This story would be an epic Ron Howard project.
All the more so now...
Let's hope it has a happy ending.
Exactly right sir. This is an epic story.
A Werner Herzog documentary

He and Greg Moore (fellow Canadian) were mine. Part of my was lost when Greg died.
What a guy. Hope he recovers from his cycling accident 🏁
That guy is a living definition of "BOSS"
Zanardi is so fun to watch. He's humble, nice, and makes you laugh. Very awesome person!!
Never heard of this man. This beautiful amazing man. What a wonderful life we have been given. Full love and respect to you Alex.
One of my heroes. If only all of us could have an incredible attitude like Mr. Zanardi. God bless you sir. Attitude of gratitude.
This is what a champion looks like..
I have 3 heros in my life and coincidentally they are all racing car drivers, Senna, Jim Clark and Alex Zenardi, great men in and out of their cars.
KEEP FIGHTING ALEX!!!
💪🙏❤️
Prayers 🙏 I know you'll come out of this Alex

Alessandro Zanardi é um exemplo de lição de vida.
I got to meet him briefly at Laguna Seca in the 90s. He's a really nice man.

He is one of my heroes....!
MrGANSR Same here
Despite only realizing his story recently
I remember him from an F1 game bht damn
HEHE yea I also have him on 1999 F1 world championship series PS1 game. But I knew him from CART series.
Alex Zanardi is and will forever be a true definition of a badass. He is one of few men, that Chuck Norris bows down to.
Monsters check under their beds for chuck norris, chuck norris checks under his for Alex zanardi
What an inspiration. Love him :)
Incredible. I love his life... amen!!
The man who defeat the death not once, not twice, not three but FOUR times in his life
this is the best letterman interview ever
Keep fighting Alex! Keep fighting!!! You have the strength!

Alex, what are you made of? You are superior to all of us, inspiration for everyone. You came from the city of gods to teach us the meaning of life.
Meu ídolo
Really proud of you , Alex , you are a great man !
What a fantastic guy. He deserves all his accolades.
Genuine legend. So much to cope with yet so humble.
Inspiring Alex!
Italian pride :)

Ti voglio un mondo di bene, come se fossi una persona di famiglia. Ti prego Dio fagli vincere anche quest’ultima gara ,merita questa vittoria, La Vita
You want to see a hero well...
That's one really attractive person) Away from being a Hero
At least Alex zanardi is still fighting fit after he nearly lost his life in the indycar crash
what a god
Grande Alex!!!
Helluva Man !

Cool!!
He’s had another accident in Italy whilst riding his bicycle in Siena Italy
❤
Forza, Ale!
Didn't both his legs get amputated? How is he walking?
Prosthesis he helped design.
He grew them back
Protein and positive thinking
Does Letterman have to look at the card to remember his name? If so, that is poor hosting and rather insulting to Alex.
CHAPPY3188 I don't think so. He knew him for a while, and remember Letterman is a co owner of Rahal's team on Indycar
CHAPPY3188 maybe for the right pronuciation
Chappy3188. It's better for Letterman to look at his cue card than to introduce him as Mario Andretti or another famous but incorrect race car driver.
meybe because he´s used to calling him by alex instead of by his full name?
It is a tic.
Millions & millions of dollars makes a big difference,
Even poor people compete and win at the Olympics. It is the great equalizer of the human spirit.
