I TOTALLY AGREE, when Jesus said, "...let the dead bury the dead", I asked myself "what" died?...then it reminded me of what God said in Genesis 2:17, now I understand fully what John 3:3-16 means that it's a MUST for us to be born again...of the spirit. It's not ONLY a plea but a COMMAND if we truly want to enter the kingdom of God, but then again, sadly, not everyone accepted this, we, most of the time still, rely on our own understanding. I am a born-again believer and I believe in the Shroud of Turin NOT to be worship but because it's the only surviving evidence testifying that the Word became flesh, and dwelt amongst us.
I'm a little bit old school with my Christianity if I'm going to go so far as to call myself a Christian then I should rely upon the Word of God.

As Christians, we must all boldly preach the name of Jesus. Remember what the Apostles of our Lord taught the Church: being ethnically Jewish has no bearing with God. My question about the shroud is why do two heads meet at a point instead of the shroud wrapping over the top of the head. I don't need anything but the Bible to believe Yashua rose from the dead.

If this is supposed to be the "shroud" that covered Jesus' face, what do you do with Isaiah 50:6 and Isaiah 52:14. The shroud does not reflect that. I'm a believer who accepted Christ 43 years ago and I believe in His death, burial and resurrection, but I have a problem with the Shroud of Turin because it does not reflect the described in Isaiah 50:6 and 52:14.

Okay. With or without the shroud, I believe in the resurrection of Jesus. The evidence for this shroud is overwhelming that it is Jesus's burial cloth. Also, I should add, since it was brought up more than once by the Host. Does he think that One thousand five hundred years of Catholicism occurred and then the teachers were wrong. Now Two thousand years of Catholicism has past. Most Christians are Catholic and I embrace all Christians.

The only thing I noted in the Bible is where it says that the Romans plucked out the beard of Jesus. The face on the Shroud cloth that they say is Jesus appears to have a beard on his face. Jesus is my Saviour and Lord. My one concern is the Shroud seems to be getting more attention than Jesus.
The original Is. 50 is found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, and that version does not have the word, "beard."
The Shroud's images prove to "an evil and unfaithful generation" that he existed and that he was executed by crudifixion (not to mention that those images are miraculous.)
I have posted this on other sites. I don't have the scripture at hand, but one states that when the women stepped into the tomb, the angel there had folded the face cloth and it had been set to the side on the slab. If the "shroud" had been "one piece" how could that scripture be valid ? The anngel would have torn it from the one piece. The face cloth was separate in the event that the person may have not been dead but in a coma, thus they could remove it to let them breathe.
Why would the Holy Spirit inspire the writer of that gospel to include that statement . I need to find what gospel where it is mentioned.
You said , there were over 700 marks from wounds on the Shroud. That makes sense. Back then they used a cat of nine tails with bits of metal and stone embedded in it. He received 39 lashes. 39x9 =351 alone, that doesn't even count wounds from the beatings, the crown of thorns etc... But we must remember when we encounter non believers. The Bible is foolishness to those who are parshing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God!

Dude the fact that you still see blood on that cloth is a miracle in itself and Yes Jesus Christ put in the shroud was dead, DEAD! and slowly coming to life.
This is slightly misleading to say we have hundreds of burial garments from the first century. We have fragments and very few complete garments because fabric decays. This isn't to say that the Shroud of Turin isn't Jesus' (along with the Sudarium of Oviedo being the 'napkin' mentioned in John), but there is no need to exaggerate. The Shroud is sufficient as a physical witness to the textual accounts.

These are not like the single cloth wrap of the shroud of Turin. Watch out for signs and wonders.

That's not the burial cloth. To read the Bible and its description of the linen strips discounts it. It's an old painting , forgery ...the burial clothes of the Lord, were not mention afterwards , to have them as a source of worship , like noahs ark , or ark of the covenant , is putting focus on things and not God, in Jesus Christ.
None of your objections are correct.
1. The Shroud is not "a source of worship." It is proof that Jesus existed and was executed by crucifixion. Why would you object to that?
2. The Gospels describe several times that Joseph of Arimathea provided a "sindone" for Jesus' burial, and that word means "linen sheet" or "shroud." Just because linen strips are also mentioned does not mean that a shroud was not used.
3. Scientists examined the Shroud's images in 1978 and concluded that its images are not paintings and not the work of an artist.

4. The Gospels do not mention the Shroud after the burial because the authorities had heard rumours of its miraculous images and were searching for it.

Not some silly shroud , that once one age then another, and now being its a popular catholic idol of worship does it make the existence of Jesus real. He was as the Bible said long before the shroud was found , or the face cloth that covered his face. The linen was linen clothes , not a whole piece...it would have overlapped in areas. The Lord would not want people having a cloth to show he he died for them but his written word. Think about it.

Jesus promised a sign to "an evil and unfaithful generation" that would prove that his burial was for a duration of less than 72 hours. The forensic study of the images on the Shroud has proven that the corpse it wrapped was removed in less than 48 hours after its death.

Any reasons that is NOT the burial cloth. Jesus looked just like all other Jewish men, and there was a “napkin” placed over his face.
The Shroud of Turin is a Hoax
1)The shroud is all one garment depicting a man’s face. This is not how Christ was placed in the tomb. We see in the scriptures that it was tradition to bury the dead in two sets of garments including a head napkin. We see this in the case of Lazarus, John 11:44-"And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go." We see this at the tomb of Christ, John 20:7-"And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself."
2)Christ would not have shamed Himself by having long hair as depicted on the shroud. 1st Corinthians 11:14-15, “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.”
Instances in the Old Testament like Samson having long hair was him taking the vow of a Nazarite. After an appointed time they would shave off all of their hair and burn it for a burnt offering to the Lord. Jesus was a Nazarene, not a Nazarite. Christ fulfilled that Old Testament law and He could not have fulfilled it by violating it by having long hair. What the Apostle Paul wrote in the above verses is 100% truth and no man since the fulfillment of the Old law is permitted by God to have long hair.
3)Testing of the blood done on the shroud has revealed the “Y” chromosome. Jesus only had one earthly parent and that was Mary who could only give Him the “X” chromosome. Christ could not have the Y chromosome as it would have corrupted His humanity.
1.The Gospels do not say that Jesus was interned in exactly the same way as Lazarus.
Explain why that "head napkin" was seen "rolled up in a place by itself." If it had been on Jesus when the tomb was closed, it would not have been found rolled up separate from the other cloths. That cloth was saved and is now called the Sudarium of Oviedo.
2. See Leviticus 19:27. Cutting of hair was forbidden for Jews. Short hair was the Roman style, and Paul was a Roman citizen.
3. The Shroud blood has the XX chromosome containing the SRY gene. See: "The Shroud of Turin," Fanti/Malfi, 2015, pg. 300.
