I was at this concert. And a few before it, and a few after it ... same routine every night. And Roy Webb was a great piano player and added great humor to the group.
I had no idea that this group was even around until a few weeks ago, but I have very quickly fallen in love with them, their music, their message, and especially their comedic antics! I am going through a rough time right now, and for some reason the only thing that gives me any comfort is listening to gospel music (something I had NEVER done before now!) So, in addition to finding some measure of peace from the music itself, the comedy routines give me something to smile (and, yes, even laugh) about. Thank you all for posting all these wonderful videos of this talented quartet.
Ditto on your comment. I just dicovered Ernie Haase and really am moved by the group's spirit and can't stop listening to their uplifting talent. It is such a pleasure to listen to- a positive event when tv and radio is so negative. I couldn't help but reply on your comment because it was exactly what I felt. I have never listened to gospel music. Now I'm looking for a local church that has something similar.
Debra Hass, hope you're doing well after three years.. There are so many wonderful groups I came across..They've been a Great source of inspiration to me#CollingsworthFamily#GaitersVocalBand..Truly Wonderful Groups.. I Thank God for allowing them to Blessed others Globally with their Harmonious Voices..
Ernie shoulda realized that he wasn't even ABOUT to get Roy to stop cutting up during this song! I love the way Ol' Roy just keeps on egging the other guys like he did in this song! 😁😁😁✝️✝️✝️
In case you were wondering where Roy got the " Mama where's my pacifier joke," during one of the Bill Gaither Homecoming videos (Toronto) Bill Gaither asked Tim when he noticed his voice becoming sooo low. Tim remarked that he had been low all his life and he could even remeber as a child asking his mother for a pacifier in a deep voice. Thus, the joke
I also do know of a gospel soloest who does a one man Quàrtet does sing the song called Dry Bones that would be Merrill Womack and he survide a firey air plane crash on Thanksgiving day back in 1961 and good singer as well. And he lived in Spoak Ane,Washington.
If I ever get my own quartet there will be plenty of humor but only in between songs got a good laugh but would also love to hear them do the song for real these guys can flat out sing
Just goes to show that Christians have a good time too! Nothing wrong with laughing. The Bible says that a merry heart does good, like medicine. I think God was very pleased.
I love this song, but the pianist ruined most of it! However, what I actually heard of the song reminded me of when the Cathedrals did this song back in the 1980s. George Younce, Glen Payne, Mark Trammel & Danny Funderburk did this song so good that nobody could touch 'em. NOBODY!!!!!
Also, although I like one or two of the songs from Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, I have to agree that they do way too much clowning around in church. I like Scott Fowler's group, Legacy 5, much better that EH&SS. I've never been truly comfortable with the way that EH&SS does their music. Something about them actually creeps me out! I'm wondering if they're truly of God, or whether they're just what I'd call "Gospel showboat" with more of an emphasis on putting on a slick, polished show, rather than really living for, & singing for, God. Give me Legacy V, Triumphant Quartet, or even the Primitive Quartet or even the Inspirations anytime!!!
when Duncan left, they were not as good as before and now they are way down in my opinion.....saw this group in Greenville, SC years ago, ...Duncan and Ernie were really good.....and Duncan went with Canton Junction as you already stated.
Hey, Tricky, did you ever hear of False Witness? You really should consider what you are saying before bearing such a thing about another person, especially one that you know nothing about. Now, ask for forgiveness and try to do better! Thank GOD, HE loves you!
Good job Roy! How I love Signature Sound!!!!

Only God can direct everyone's path and Roy is doing what he feels in his heart or what God wants him to do.
I can report that Roy is doing well in real estate.

Ernie shoulda realized that he wasn't even ABOUT to get Roy to stop cutting up during this song! I love the way Ol' Roy just keeps on egging the other guys like he did in this song! 😁😁😁✝️✝️✝️

Ernie you are so bossy
I wish they would stop messing that song up.!!!!!!!

That is what this song is about..the pianist and EHSS comedy.
Just about every song the Cathedrals did- no one could touch them. They are the standard.

Ron Shank I love it when they make people laugh, it isn't all about the music all the time.
Funny
love this group but they've changed and bass died awhile back
Tim Duncan didn't die. He's singing with Canton Junction now.

Charlie No Name Ford Tim didn't die. He sings with Canton Junction

It's none of his business if he's gay.. Let God be the judge..Ye without Sin cast the first Stone..
I sometimes think they are taking too far with their humor in church
Good do not like this pianist
