Good move on the donor! And loved the pics of the General pulling that trailer -- in my opinion the General is at least one of the top three builds you have done on RUclips.
Okay, finally another pre-war car. Now you've got my undivided attention. 👍 My buddy and I did this once on a 37 two-door sedan about the same condition as what you're starting with. Took us 7 months to finish. But when it was done it was absolutely beautiful. Big block 454 with everything
Nice re- start. You have the magic touch. I love watching you work on a splice like this. Doing things I would never think of. Can't wait to see the next episode.
"The General" is such a useful & very cool vehicle. That build was epic as this one will be. As always Brent love your work, you're an absolute legend Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Amazes me that you just laugh your way through the stickiest of situations! Loved the drone footage of that salvage yard. Goin straight to watch the full tour of that place next. Here in the states those old iron yards are quickly disappearing unfortunately. Last but not least, I dig the music production in this and the last couple videos. Is that on you tube for an extra charge or do you purchase it else where, not the same stuff everyone else uses. You are truly amazing the amount of work you get accomplished, it is inspiring me to get out in the garage myself! Thanks!
I tightened up a bit when you were driving back out with the car on your trailer; I kept waiting for you to start spinning when you slowed down before the trailer cleared the hill haha
Brent, I'm praying for you to feel better soon!! Also, you gotta pronounce Dodge like this... Dadge. 😆 lol Once you start doing that everything will just start cooperating 👍
Holylee cow that vavavvoom yard looks awesome wowzers it's a candy store. Love the flip down dash/glove box version lol. Defo a wise choice remember pawpaw always said work smarter not harder. Lol
PABLO said i feel bad the boss is a little under the weather he did so much work on the first car but i have seen him start over a few times nothing new He will make it right Praying for his health
Hey new subscriber! Love the down and dirty way you fab. Just makes sense. So far love the channel. I will continue to watch. Great job. I love the flamed Mercury. Awesome looking. Until the next one.
Funny I saw a 35 plymouth on a Steve Magnante video he had done at a junk yard in the states and I said to myself that would be a perfect donor car for Brent. Who knew I was seeing your future. LOL
I am soooooo happy it's still going to be a coupe!!! I was worried at first and you went on for a bit NOT telling us the cut/chop/weld plan.. lol.. It almost looks like you could use the main capsule of a VW bug !! I guess I never put that together before... Anyway, I love this build. There is NOTHING like a 30's coupe!!!
wow Brent, your perception of the old sheet metal is so amazing, you make everything fall in place so easy , like a big puzzle with interchangeable pieces ready to be put together . Well done Sir, sparkle away ...👍✔✨
This looks a little more difficult than the other cars that you built. Looks like you got a jigsaw puzzle going on here lol! I'm very sure you'll get it and I hope you get to feelin better!
Big brother..... We hope your feeling better, I can hear a slight hiss in your voice. The cold weather sems to be catching up with you.... On a brighter note I think you are reading my mind as it relates to the car. You hit a home run on this new body. I think you will achieve your goal in this project ..... a great find for sure. Wow what a turn around in just a few minutes it seems..... Stay well ..
I don't like external car door hinges, but I understand why hidden hinges (invented in the 1920s) weren't widely used, cost to manufacture the part, structural design and assembly to install the part. Let's see here, this is either a "Desodge" or "Dodsoto", I feel the latter is better? ;-D With this decision, the build just got a lot more interesting. ;-)
Hello Brent, I'm glad you have some options. That old body was so desperate, it was hard to watch you struggling with it. Are my eyes deceiving me, or do the body lines match more closely now? That ought to help a lot. I will continue to watch with interest. Mart in England.
Good find and a lot less work, even though there is a lot of work ahead. Making one from the two is better than having to remake panels for just one. Understandable which route you have taken.
Hi uncle, ghee magnificent, In my eyes those lines didn’t seem the same on the 2 bodies, you have a great eye, But then you showed the difference of the body lines behind the rear glass,I saw something looked different and thought ghee uncle how are you going to get this to work, But you don’t seize to amaze, thanks and remember you aren’t a jockey, I hope you get rid of the hoarse voice once and for all 😅, Feel better soon, Ciao
YOU JUST MADE ALOT A OF WORK FOR YOURSELF - THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PARTNER UP WITH KARL FISHER - MAKE IT CUSTOM- I THINK HIS BIG JOBS RUBBED OFF ON YOU! - GOOD LUCK!👍😛
Good move. You were going to chew up lots of time getting the other one to where the donor already is. You’re probably gonna evolve into bronchitis. Lots of it here in NYS, me included. Been a nasty bugger so far.
Seriously?! “Let’s not over complicate things just now!” You are taking two vehicles of DIFFERENT makes AND DIFFERENT models and cutting them in half and splicing them and you say let’s not over complicate things?!?!🤣🤣🤣 I tell you I for one want to see what you consider over complicating!!! I couldn’t see it until you had it mocked up. AMAZING!!! Love your videos Brent!!!!
You said Cabobble that you were organizing but mixed up the two cars interchangeable parts together into 1935 shortened DeSoto and that it's much better than Dodge dashboard includes missing Dodge Speed O-dial and gas indicator meters, odometer to alert the gas is on low. DeSoto will be chop down instead of chop down the roof like you did to your Green Flame Buick Jet-Back low rider. Chopped chassis into the length of coupe type two doors DeSoto with Dodge grille 1935 model. The DeSoto has a front motif with headlamp fitted flushed into the front sheet metal in 1935. The 1935 DeSoto Imperial Sedan model SD with original headlamp in separated bucket attached to the dog dish cone. The cone is the back of the headlight. The bucket is in between the cone and headlight bulb. The Cone wasn't chromed like your 1935 Dodge headlamp with chrome. One choice from assembly Line was the SD would expand its wheelbase but depends on the 1935 Airstream in becoming shortened frame. The rear suicide door becomes the weld in shut into permanent panel to the Dodge DU with inner Desoto structure build in the slab and the quarter panel. Plus the rear door handle is remove away from quarter pane near the Dodge rebuild mull. What was the color of the old paint in DeSoto wagonette Sedan 's dashboard back in 1935-36? Thank you.
No offense bur your kind of in the middle of nowhere, but you can still hop in your truck and go pick up a body that the parts will work on your 35ish pieces of not sure wrecked coupe, only you can pull that one off and we watched you do it. Its going to be a great adventure that will last until spring !!!
Great video and great work, Just to much work for me to even think about doing even if I could. You work to HARD it makes me tired just watching. Take care of that cold and do not let it get you down, take a rest. Let Pablo do more lifting when you need a little boost.
Hi Brent I have seen you do some amazing things with your talent! I think you bit off more than you can chew! I have to say this dodge body should get melted down and razor blades made out of it . This body has to many issues with it . I agree with a 1930's coupe build but not with this body .
Hello Brent, good move getting the donor car, save a lot of time and fabrication. Great to see the General out and about. I would like to see a tour of your friends yard, look like he has some really cool stuff. Anyway be good and take care of yourself. 👍👍👍
Yes the metal Animal lives in Canada as Halfass Kustoms. Wow torch, clamp, tack its coming together now!!!!!! Oh My God. You be careful, rooting for you. So funny to see what little is left of the cat then you open the door, show the window then explain you want AC in the car anyway. What! We are so far from a car and you know you want AC. That is Optimism to the Max. D
Made quick work of the transfer from trailer to chassis table... LOL ....like the cool heavy equipment....look like second vehicle going to make things a bit easier....rock on Brent.....🙂👍🙏
Brother you just keep getting deeper in to those MOPARS,, Thunder fish, Valiant, Plymouth, DeSoto Im glad to see you coming from the dark side ;) Now a little 340 ,or 383 with a 727 in the coupe would be killer
Hello, Thank you for your videos. I'm enjoying the content as usual, but wanted to say I've especially like your recent music choice with the jazz influence. It seems you always put effort into the music choice. Such a refreshing change from You-tube Rock-Metal, which seems mandatory for car-chop vids. Nice not having to use the M shortcut all the time.🙂
Yes, you did B-pillar body frame from DeSoto into the Dodge rebuild rocker where it was replace by you in doing restoring the 1935 DU color black original DeSoto was painted mostly black.
The car looks better than it did. You going to put a jump seat in the back, that folds out . That would look so awesome I think. Keep up the great work on both channels I never miss any posts and God Bless you and your family. I love how the shop is going to be with a 4 post lift. I freaking love you sons white suburban I would love to find one like that OMG .💯💪👍👍👌🙏🙏
I just watched a video of a "builder" putting a brand new 30grand 32 ford body on a brand new 16grand chassis... it was boring. This tho this shit is building hot rods! I love the determination to build your coupe.
Good move on the donor! And loved the pics of the General pulling that trailer -- in my opinion the General is at least one of the top three builds you have done on RUclips.
10:39 and it's powerful too! Like a lot of these projects are usually wimpy, not built well, just for show, ya know? But the General is the real deal.
YOUR obviously a GREAT MECHANIC. KEEP uploading videos and I will KEEP WATCHING.
I didn't expect this build to start splicing and dicing part of a 4 dr! Great video!
Amazing job ! doing things with no help lifting alone, Best fabricator on the TUBE !!!
Holy S**T... You have Big Brass Ones Buddy... No Fear... I'm Riveted to this Build. 💪💪💪
Jack the cowl open forward at the hinge locations a 1/4"
Hey you...at the end of the times...we all need dudes like you , when everything is destroyed and we have to start again......
Okay, finally another pre-war car. Now you've got my undivided attention. 👍 My buddy and I did this once on a 37 two-door sedan about the same condition as what you're starting with. Took us 7 months to finish. But when it was done it was absolutely beautiful. Big block 454 with everything
What the crap did I just witness? You are a genius, madman on speed! This is going to be your most amazing build yet. Can't wait for the next video!
Loved seeing the General in action. Favorite build of all. Watched every part of him being built. As always, keep up the great work.
The donor car would have been a great build on its own 👍
Nice re- start. You have the magic touch. I love watching you work on a splice like this. Doing things I would never think of. Can't wait to see the next episode.
You're making a Patchwork Clip, Brent the man with vision.
going to be Awesome.
At first I was going to say you were cheating but Geez. It's hard to fathom how that was LESS work than fixing the passenger door! Amazing.
I think I spoke too soon!! You must be reading my mind! Good job!!!
"The General" is such a useful & very cool vehicle. That build was epic as this one will be. As always Brent love your work, you're an absolute legend Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.

Looking good 👍👍
Man that is looking great. Hope you get to feeling better!
Amazing as usual
Brent has done it again! Awesome video can't wait for the next one.
I tightened up a bit when you were driving back out with the car on your trailer; I kept waiting for you to start spinning when you slowed down before the trailer cleared the hill haha
Keep up the great videos can’t wait to see the nexted video on this build
Brent, I'm praying for you to feel better soon!! Also, you gotta pronounce Dodge like this... Dadge. 😆 lol Once you start doing that everything will just start cooperating 👍
Of course we wanna see the yard where you bought the donor! Rest up Brent!! A bit of lemon and honey tea and you´ll be right.
Holylee cow that vavavvoom yard looks awesome wowzers it's a candy store. Love the flip down dash/glove box version lol. Defo a wise choice remember pawpaw always said work smarter not harder. Lol
Thanks!
PABLO said i feel bad the boss is a little under the weather he did so much work on the first car but i have seen him start over a few times nothing new He will make it right Praying for his health
Well that was some creative work
So sorry for you about the other one, but happy you are geting sorted now, I'm looking forward to watching you on this one,

LOL
looks like a good plan
I’m SOLD on this build . GET WELL SOON . Looking forward to the next video 🇬🇧🥇❤️🧐👀
That was a cool place. It's going to be interesting to see how you combine the two. Thanks for the video 🐾🍺
This will stretch your imagination i like the way your going at it
I am soooooo happy it's still going to be a coupe!!! I was worried at first and you went on for a bit NOT telling us the cut/chop/weld plan.. lol.. I enjoyed your show love that project and catch up with ya on the next one
Looks like a good option to mash the 2 together. Still a massive project. Love it!
A second start is good as the first well done 👍👋🇨🇦
Pablo called me and said to hope you feel better !!!!!!
Hi scratch pablo for me I love that dog 🐕
This looks a little more difficult than the other cars that you built. Looks like you got a jigsaw puzzle going on here lol! I'm very sure you'll get it and I hope you get to feelin better!
Glad to see you got a little better donor. Pablo is made for Chevys.
1948 DeSoto Howard Cunningham on Happy Days
Great stuff !! Thank you !! I pray you feel better real soon !!! God bless you and yours !!!! Eddy
Brent, needless to say, what a cool build it will be. Already waiting for the next episode 🍺

Sometimes you have to run backwards to be able to walk forward.
Hello Brent, I'm glad you have some options. That old body was so desperate, it was hard to watch you struggling with it. Are my eyes deceiving me, or do the body lines match more closely now? That ought to help a lot. I will continue to watch with interest. Mart in England.
yeah it's pretty much is the same body.
looks like the cowl section needs to be pushed forward just a touch.
I compared the Thunderbird 1966 FE engine and F250 FE engine size 361 CID it is the same size. I would think so.
Loved that one shot: looks at ass end of body, looks at stand, and gets the thought; how the hell am I going to do this? Laughed my but off : )
Glad to see you got a 35 donor car, I think that was the only way to go in the end unless you wanted to reconstruct everything from scratch.
These old cars weren't put together very well at the factory sometimes so there's that!
That old Johnny Cash song comes to mine is a ..........
Don' t give up ! this is a very cool car !
Great work in getting to the and 4 door sedan mated. I sure hope you don't have children you had to reorganize.... 😂 😂
Good find and a lot less work, even though there is a lot of work ahead. Making one from the two is better than having to remake panels for just one. Understandable which route you have taken.
Oh no that makes it to easy
Sir- Take it easy, you don't want a Heart attack.
You sound like you have a cold, get well soon
who ever started it before reallmessed it up
Look at that roof it was cut
Hi uncle, ghee magnificent,
In my eyes those lines didn’t seem the same on the 2 bodies, you have a great eye,
But then you showed the difference of the body lines behind the rear glass,I saw something looked different and thought ghee uncle how are you going to get this to work,

How much did the car cost
This is Art in the making, I love watching classic cars come back to life and given a chance to drive forth once again.
The old general looks good doing it's job.
Seriously?! “Let’s not over complicate things just now!” You are taking two vehicles of DIFFERENT makes AND DIFFERENT models and cutting them in half and splicing them and you say let’s not over complicate
things?!?!🤣🤣🤣 I tell you I for one want to see what you consider over complicating!!! I couldn’t see it until you had it mocked up. AMAZING!!! Love your videos Brent!!!!
I'm 63 and would love to keep up with Brent, don't think I could and I think I'm kind've in shape? Thumbs Up Brent!....

What was the color of the old paint in DeSoto wagonette Sedan 's dashboard back in 1935-36? Thank you.
Cut and graph in...The repurposed on steroids...Cool stuff...Just like a sculptor!
That looks way better. The 35-36 Ford coupes had that bead at the rear roof bottom ,so yes,you want that. keep it square, and go Daddy O.
What a task this Dodge is! Good on ya for taking on such a challenge !
No offense bur your kind of in the middle of nowhere, but you can still hop in your truck and go pick up a body that the parts will work on your 35ish pieces of not sure wrecked coupe, only you can pull that one off and we watched you do it. I just got stuck in the jacks for the fourpost lift, is it nenab jacks? We have those at my work an they are realy good!
Those doors look like their from a different yr.
Cut the rocker panel support and move the fire wall forward on the passenger side. The door will drop in.
I'm starting to think those doors aren't for that car
Hi Brent I have seen you do some amazing things with your talent! I think you bit off more than you can chew! I have to say this dodge body should get melted down and razor blades made out of it . This body has to many issues with it . I agree with a 1930's coupe build but not with this body .

Wonderful video my brother can't wait for the next episode love from Jamaica
Brent, Looking forward to seeing how you manage the matchup of back to front halves. Question: Are you leaving or loosing the side windows?
Big picture will be loosing the corner windows.
The wing windows cost extra from factory

But It's Your Decision. God Bless All 👍👍 Gary.
