Dudes getting old and no telling which direction steam could take 5 years from now if he was to pass away. If the website shuts down what if the millions of dollars that has been spent on that platform? My opinion is that is highly unlikely. But many benefits to owning the game or having an offline launcher to install what ever game you’re trying to install.
With PC you don't have to trash the old one for a new game that has higher system requirement, you just need to change the component that's causing the problem
You can only work with a motherboard chipset so much before needing to replace that for use with newer/different CPU generation/brand if upgrading. Then you have to consider if so much use on a power supply denotes buying a new one, especially if you need more wattage than previously. Then you probably should get around to upgrading the RAM since it's slower and last gen at this point. Then ya obviously gotta drop a newer, probably more power hungry GPU in, unless you're rocking a flagship GPU from a few years back. Then you look at it and say: "nice, didn't have to replace my case, but damn I probably should anyway".
In the positive or negative connotation for instance are you worried about getting hacked or are you saying your able to watch ,play ,or otherwise view content that normally sits behind a pay wall like movies, anime, and games.
Hey man, you really do make some great points. But for me, I'm just happy with the convenience that consoles offer me. I can't stand the prices, though. I settled on the series S. It fills all my needs for the price. I honestly can't complain
I keep seeing people say in the comments, "Digital is the future " and "it comes with a stand just not the metal one" like sure thing bud still not worth the 700
@Rolkey noone, I'm saying if you build a 700$ pc you spend 700$ + games. However, on Playstation you pay 700$ + 120$ each year to play online and you pay for games. Not to mention that you mostly pay 70-80$ pr game on ps vs 40-55$ on pc from release.
@Gooierostrich10 do it you won't regret it. I did it three months ago and I was a console gamer for a very long time. You might have to learn a few things but the pay off is completely worth it.
PC guys - mentions competition in the marketplace. Also PC guys - absolutely lose it over 3rd party launchers. PC guys - it's only expensive at entry. Also PC guys - buys new $2000 GPU every year. PC guys - 10x as many games than console. Also PC guys - 90% playtime = Fortnite and Minecraft. PC guys need to stop attacking people for purchasing consoles. Then they'll stop defending their console purchases.
People always forget the biggest advantage of PC. You can turn off motion blur, film grain, vignette and chromatic abberation. Even if the game has no option to do it, you can just turn it off in the .ini files or use mods to do it.
Many games cant even run stable 60 fps on 4k and are locked at 30 fps. And 4k is not native it's upscaled from 1080p. In other words, it's all a lie. Playstation is the biggest scam ever.

The real question is "what is the point of consoles?" and not the other way around. Consoles barely have any exclusives or advantages over PCs anymore and suffer from having to install and update games like the PC. Consoles may be cheaper but that doesn't factor in the cost of the TV and there is more you can do with a PC. Btw, I'm talking about the Xbox and Playstation, not the Switch which still has many unique features compared to the PC like price, exclusives, portability, not needing a display, and running games from carts.
Personally I am a Mac user I can not stand PCs always had bad experiences with them breaking down after 2 years and would never have a separate one just for games so I like consoles
The real selling point of consoles is the simplicity. It's not always about getting the most out of things, sometimes it's about being able to just hop on and play with minimal issues. I love pc but I've had no shortage of pc games that just decide not to launch for seemingly no reason plus many other headaches like why wont my mouse software detect, why wont my 24pin PSU cable fit into the 24pin slot, is it my new motherboard that's faulty or is it my cpu, etc
@la6136 breaks after 2 years? You're doing something wrong. I just got my motherboard and cpu a bought 11 years ago back that's been going strong this whole time. It's a piece of crap now because its old and outdated, and wasnt the best when purchased but It served me and like 3 others well for years and through much abuse.
another big advantage is that your not forced to buy the whole device at once. take your time and hunt for deals on parts. when you have a good setup you can decimate a console with just a GPU upgrade. note timing is important. GPUs have a 2 year release cycle buy a flagship card near end of it and you could easily be stuck with a hot potato.
Not really. A high end GPU may lose about half its resale value shortly after you buy it because the new GPU generation drops, but even my 6900xt has between a $450-550 resale value. It also still performs exceptionally well in most titles. Due to fsr and dlss even the lower end gpus are keeping their resell value as they can take advantage of upscaling.
You can take your time to save up but it depends on whether the upgrade you are making is a generational one or not. You may have to buy a CPU along with that GPU to avoid bottlenecking if upgrading. Depending on the generation of the CPU, you may need to buy a whole new MOBO cause you're now buying the CPU to avoid bottlenecking and if the old cooler you have is not compatible with the new CPU/MOBO you may even need to buy a whole new cooler or a bracket that can make the cooler compatible with the new CPU/MOBO. Also new RAM as well due to new generation MOBO/CPU. Also if you don't have a PSU that has enough power to support the GPU you may have to buy a new PSU as well. So basically a whole new build besides the SSD/HDD unless you plan on keeping your old rig and building a whole new one, you'll have to buy one of those at the very least too.
@@JVPlayz96 Or you plan for that, get a psu with more power than you need and a good cpu, while bottlenecking your gpu for a year or so and then switch to a great setup :) Once you get a good setup, you don't really need to upgrade for 5-6 years. I bought my PC with a 1080 and an i7-7700k in 2018 and I'm only now getting to the point I'm thinking about upgrading, while still playing most games at high-ultra. It would have taken longer if I had a 1080 ti, but I'm really feeling the missing vram 😅
Yea majority of people don’t have time or desire to do that. If they made pcs at the same price point without all the extra junk I would get it. I don’t want internet explorer, I don’t want Microsoft. Which means I don’t want to mess with all that garbage. I want to play games. Period. Sony gives me that simplicity
How is that an advantage??? I build my PC and looking for parts was a nightmare. Making sure the parts have good reviews from users, decent price, etc. it was a terrible, stressful experience. You PC gamers have weird way of thinking.
Depends, you can on the ps4 but, it’s a very old console and you’d be stuck at 1080p unless you bought a ps4 pro for like $300 but even then it’s still a old console. Plus it’s gonna be used since only older firmares can play modded games. Stuff like that usually turns into a hobby.
You can also upgrade your storage a lot easier on a pc than a console, you can go online and torrent virtually anything you want on pc too (I’m sure you can do the same on a console but it’s most probably more of obnoxious and tedious process). In the long, and short run a PC is the move, aside from exclusives, no reason to not get one or start saving for one.
I disagree. Modding is nice, but so is being able to play games from twenty five years ago on the hardware we have now. A well as the insane sales we get multiple times a year. Not to mention Fitgirl Repacks, where we can play cracked games saving us a fortune and allowing us to play many more titles per year without hurting us financially. We also don't pay a premium for multiplayer, which costs a minimum of $80 up front for a year and with the average console lasting five years that's $400 on top of the $500 they spent on the console... before games.
love how these youtubers talk about how console is cheap and completely ignore the subscriptions and buying controller every few months because of stick drift
Sub is 10$ month and tbh i buy maybe one controller a year. Same as i bought a new mouse or keyboard. Also in pc there is alot more subs. Atleast for me. So many different games needing a sub
@@badtopvm3156 Wait, what games require a sub? I just use Steam and don't play MMO's so maybe I'm out of the loop? I still think ya'll underestimate the yearly costs of paying for premium internet. $80 up front or $120 a year if you go monthly, let's be conservative and say five years per console lifespan, that's $400. On top of your $500-$600 console, putting it at an actual grand ($1000) per generation. That's before the cost of your games, and let's be real, all PC gamers have played cracked games either because they can or times are tough. That's without the insane sales Steam has several times a year where the big publishers knock 30%, 50%, sometimes 80%/90% off their games. I know console gamers like to huff and puff about "stealing", but it's a reality and an optional bonus we engage in. *shrug* I had purchased maybe six games total on Steam over the course of fiteen years for my PC (couldn't play online with a cracked copy and they were multiplayer only). I pirated literally every other game I played. It wasn't until Steam Deck that I started buying them out on convenience and I'm currently sitting on a 436 game library with a grand total of $1005 spent according to my account. That's basically $2 per game. There simply isn't an argument to be made. PC's are cheaper in every way. Unless you're going bad faith because of jealousy, sunk cost, or just an investment in the brand.
A subscription usually comes with access to free games. And no, unless you throw your controller against the wall you won't have to replace it "every couple of months". PC accessoires are also susceptible to some wear and tear.
THIS. I've pointed out to my buddy that with the proliferation of PC's/laptops as the norm for people to own, it's just bound to grow naturally. If the average person takes the money they were going to use on a laptop/PC anyways, and tack on the money they'd use on a console otherwise, combined you'd get a pretty beefy rig.
I know exactly 0 people that own a pc. Everyone has either a laptop, tablet or does everything on their phone. Sorry, but this is by far the weakest argument I've seen in this comment section.
The implication that a console is "close" when I still can't overclock it, change out the memory safely without harming the device, or add more than 5TB without making it unstable, is not in fact "closer" to PC. Its still about as far as its always been. Lets look at the PS5 pro. It has: 2tb of memory rated around 7200mbps transfer speed - 4k 120hz, HDMI 2.1 out support (supersampled from 1440p usually) - Expandable up to 5TB m.2 storage. - CPU clocked to 16 threads @ 3.5 Ghz (3.7 turbo boost avg) - No memory bus expansion slots or PCIE slots - no dedicated DAC in its sound card for higher audio processing - 16GB of GDR6 VRAM at 440gb speeds - wifi 6/7 and costs $499-799 Lets look at my pc now! Mind you its 5 years old almost. It has: - 8TB of memory and room for about 3 more hard drives and 1 more SATA/ SSD and 1 m.2, so in theory, 500+ TB is available to place. - Expandable power supply and memory, 4k60 out, 90hz refresh rate, and choices to expand that - CPU clocked at 8 cores/16 threads @ 4.41 Ghz (4.6 Turbo with a tower cooler + 4 fans vs a consoles 1 or 2 fans and no wider cooler) - Plenty of room for extra crap - Dedicated sound card, dedicated audio DAC, and optical/digital audio and video in/out, plus DP and HDMI 2.0 - 6x USB v3.0 slots and 2x USB-C thunderbolt ports (consoles have neither or 1 of each nowadays) - 24GB of GDR5 memory vs the pros 16GB of GDR6 VRAM My pc cost me $550 not including monitor and speakers. Tell me again how those are close? I'll wait. Its like 60% of the way there vs PC. Close and almost only count in horseshoe and throwing grenades.
PCs are way cheaper than consoles if you know what the hell you're doing. I once demonstrated how easy a good PC is to make by showing my friends a mockup PC made from ebay parts. The specs were: A dell optiplex 9020 base PC which had a 3.5 GHz processor, 8 gb of ram, and a 500 gb drive already in the PC. An rtx 2060 An extra 16 gb of ram And a 1 tb SSD The PC cost less than $350 including shipping Think about that $170 you saved plus the online service. Two AAA games and a few indie titles and, depending upon how long you play online, up to $500 more! Additionally, you can upgrade it and sell the old parts instead of buying a new console.
@@funnyfatseals545 Plus the whole point of the video is missed when you establish the cost issue; a console now is only as powerful as the main desktop market was 5 years ago. Sure its a big leap from the PS1 era being 4x weaker but its still 75% of the power of a home PC at the same price point, which is promising, but not equitable.
I like to know where you got a GPU with 24 GB of vram while still keeping your build at $500, all while having 8 terabytes of storage. Because right now this sounds like cap.
Comparing pure numbers on PC hardware vs console is BS. Console soft is optimised for a particular setup while on PC it needs to work wth pretty much everything. Also, your Windows will also use tons of resources, the way the system funnels data through the kernel into (V)Ram is different and way more efficient on consoles.
It's not always the case. PC (Steam) not only has more sales, but most of the time when the game is on sale, they're usually cheaper than the sale available on console
@@calebreynolds9318Shhh don't let console players know about free online, and piracy. All games are literally free on PCs, and that's the correct use of the word 'literally'

DLSS is way better at upscaling than the ps5 and it takes 5 minutes to look at an optimization guide for any game and change the settings to make it look great with high frame rates. Also adding mods to games to make them easier to play, fast travel to anywhere or removing carrying capacity makes games more playable when you are limited on time.

My biggest reason for being on PC for the last 6 years is that I *only* need a PC. On console, if I wanted to play that one specific PS3 era game, I had to bust out the PS3. You have to hold onto your old consoles if you want to keep playing them. Steam holds all of your games no matter what hardware you have, and while there might be some issues on very old games, you can absolutely still make them work. Not to mention things like emulation for other consoles. When you're on PC, all you need is a PC. On console, you have to have more than just that one console to do the same stuff.

@@spiderman3309 @spiderman3309 Well, I have two (This actually goes into another reason I prefer PC that I'll get into in a minute). My "new" PC is an i7-12700k, 3080 Ti, and 32gb 6000MHz DDR5 memory (You should go for 32gb if you're using DDR5, it can actually be more cost effective than 16gb. I was able to then put the "original" PC back together in a new case, and it became my living room PC. I wanted to specify the two different PCs because it's something that's worth pointing out. Your parts will never be obsolete. They will always have a purpose. People who upgraded from PS4 to PS5 probably never touch that console again, because it's not getting the newest games. Don't even get me started on PS3s going to landfills. But with PC, my "old" PC hardware still works just as well as it did before the upgrade. While my biggest reason for PC gaming is that my new hardware can still play my old games, my old hardware can still play my new games as well. Eventually, way down the road when I upgrade my 12700k and 3080 Ti, this PC will be the new living room PC, and my 8700 and 2070 Super might go to my niece, or I might turn it into a server for local cloud storage. Me playing pixel games on my Nintendo switch. I joke, but when presented with a functional product I'll almost always choose the switch, portability and the plug-and-play nature of the console is SOOO appreciated after a long day. Besides the near limitless potential usage of the system, PC is what I use to play Sims 3 and other games that either aren't on console, don't function on console, or simply play better on PC. My PS4 is mostly used as a Blu-ray player, and on the odd occasion I'll dedicate a few weeks of game time to playing exclusives like Gravity Rush.
Major downsides of PC gaming for me are the neverending menus and options you have to go through to get games to play how you want, I legitimately spent HOURS getting little witch Nobeta to properly function with Gyro controls, and getting a standard layout for games is a pain every single time. I just want to hop in and play an hour of games after work, I don't want to deal with that nonsense.
At $80 up front per year, or $120 per year if you pay monthly, while using conservative estimates and saying five years per console generation, that's about $400 IN ADDITION to your $500 console bringing it to almost a grand. That's before the cost of games and such. Like, bare minimum. The argument that PC's are more expensive is made using very substandard financial understandings. Sure, up front, right now, you're paying about $650 ($500 for the console, $10 for the internet, $60 per game, let's say you got two games) but in the long run you're paying out the ass. People who buy consoles don't think of money like that though, because most folks live paycheck to paycheck. Long-term investments are simply calculus/theoretical physics to them. I wish folks would consider taking the money they would normally use to buy their laptop (everyone has a PC/laptop these days), tack on the cost of the console they'd usually buy, and get themselves a decent rig instead.

Theres also the fact that parts on a pc typically outlast consoles while still being viable. Theres also the fact that its far far cheaper to upgrade, you also dont lose everything in the upgrade, you also get access to games from across time, modding is easier, more versatility, more settings, typically better performance, customizable appearance, no subscription to play online, you can do co-op by using steam play which is like ds download play, you get more choice in controller, perifirals arent intensely expensive, there are far more perifrials. I could go on for an extremely long time. Consoles costing what they do so they do less than a pc of equivalent cost is unjustifiable
There really isn't much of a difference if you don't mod games or do other work on a pc. Since you'll probably update your parts every new console generation the latest, and every half generation the earliest. I do both.
@luxnoria I do other stuff, I mod, I want to be able to just have all my games on one thing, I want access to more games, better vr experience, and the games perform/look way better.
@@tomaliothetomato439 If you use a console for gaming then all the games are on one thing. It's only if you split yourself between pc and console. Not going to lie I was a heavy console guy until I came to my senses and built my first gaming PC a few years ago and haven’t look back I still like my PS5 but PC opened up my eyes to a whole lot.
I currently have a ps4 and looking to upgrade. Instead of a ps5 what would you recommend for pc? I know nothing about pc but thinking of going that route
Built a $1200 PC ten years ago and it still holds up, though I will be building a new one soon. In those ten years, I spent around $1200 on consoles so I think you’re fine with either route. I will make the point though that your PS5 can’t run photoshop or blender, so go with PC if you want to be able to be creative on your system.
Not only that, but also the fact that you can build up your steam library and still be able to play those games 10 years later, unlike PlayStation or xbox, I can't grab an old PS2 or Xbox game and expect for it to work on the new consoles, not only that, but the upgrade ability is amazing, I can't go out and buy a 2 or 300 buck part for a console like I can with a PC, and then you have consoles, oh? You want an upgrade? Here, buy this new console!
Do you need 1 build up/set up to play every kinda game old and new or you will have to rebuild again? I mean if it's one time job i'd consider choosing it over any console!!
Is that why old games on new PC's need so much troubleshooting? widescreen fixes? just had to delete Mafia 2 cause it had a slow-motion bug. You PC gamers are liars. Couldn't play Quake 4 cause it had a texture bug on new systems. Stop lying.
@@Disconnect350I literally fixed many issues games had by just replacing files which are available on Google that too on my old ass laptop you don't have to be programmer to fix many of the issues unless they are from dev side and many times just doing a re-install works don't know what are you on also with few tweaks and settings you can play any game from any era
I was on consoles for many years because I didn't have money for a PC or really anything that made what I had more appealing, but since being able to afford a PC I use it infinitely more than my Xbox series x. Damn near every game I've played has been maxed out and running well over 100 fps and most maxing out my monitor. Take cyberpunk for instance, I've finished it a couple times in console, but since playing it on PC the world feels way more alive. It's really impressive what PC is able to do
Some of my favourite games I play aren't far off the age of a Xbox 360, yet the modding scene is so ridiculous that I've put 100s, if not 1000s of hours into them (looking at you Stalker GAMMA/Anomaly and Medieval Total War 2), and still to this day can make either one my go-to game for a month, or more. Simply put the raw power of the console for me can't ever make up for the depth that PC gaming provides. Even if you couldn't build a Console level system for around the same price, I'd still spend the same price for a more limited PC graphically if it meant I could have modding instead. That's also ignoring other things a PC can do like making music (big for me), video/image editing, and even you know, regular stuff you may need a PC for or activities that are much easier on PC (like shopping for example).
I would include not having to pay for online multiplayer, able to do other things than just game. Bringing your library to future pc builds . No need for retro compatibility with older games. If you own older games there’s emulators. So it’s definitely worth getting into.
I built my PC out of a retired server I got for free, have less than $500 in it, and it's played every game I've thrown at it the last 6 years. I just play 1080p though
Super-sampling is a performance heavy antialiasing technique that is basically the opposite of what consoles do. Consoles upscale lower resolution images to 4k, while super-sampling is taking a high internal resolution and down-scaling it to make it crisp on lower res displays
Also another factor people don't consider with consoles is that if you really want the best experience (*4k*, high refresh rates and similar visual enjoyment) you also require a TV that supports all of that which in most cases averages another $500 assuming you don't already have a higher end TV
Not to mention greater selection of video game stores as well as games from Independent developers. Also add to that that a high-end gaming PC can also be used as a video editing/graphic design workstation so it's easier to monetize
And the fact that with PC you gradually upgrade parts instead of tossing out the old gen console and buy a new one. Therefore you can play the same games now matter how old and from what «generation» they’re from!
Killed it on the points. The only thing I would tweak is the fact that for just a couple hundred dollars more than a console, you can have a better system than a console console companies can say all they want that their games run in 4K 165 Hz but in all honesty, most games are not running anywhere near that and most are stuck at 60 FPS so 165 Hz means nothing
You can also do so much more, emulation is easier and lets you play in the long run every game you miss (sure it takes time, but all consoles end up emulatable). There's also the matter of modding. That's one of the best aspects of gaming to me, and it's exclusive to PC (save a few attempts at making it work on consoles, but they were pretty unsuccessful and are only for a very small sélection of games). You can also play with a greater selection of input methods and can usually find a way to adapt something unexpected (playing FPSs with a Wiimote for aim fine-tuning is crazy). You can also run third party sofware to either add on-screen stuff at all time (maybe you want a clock or something else ALWAYS on in the corner) or to change the visuals of the game with extra shaders. The ONLY upside consoles have is ease of use and it's way outweighed by everything a PC can do (plus learning to do those things will massively increase your tech literacy, which is becoming a very important skill).
I think they serve 2 different purposes. PC is designed to be customisable and versatile, you can tailor the experience to your exact use case. a Console is simpler and just works with very little issues but the trade off is that console is more limited in terms of functionality.
Steam is the biggest reason to get into pc gaming, They offer you such low price , you save thousand of bucks on buying games . Then theres also gamepass which offers good value for money. PC gaming also have emulators for wide variety of older consoles, and you can pretty much run every game in history . Not to mention , the thousands other things you can do on pc than just gaming.
Not even mentioning the versatility of activities you can do on a pc aside from gaming
For sure!

But many benefits to owning the game or having an offline launcher to install what ever game you’re trying to install.
With PC you don't have to trash the old one for a new game that has higher system requirement, you just need to change the component that's causing the problem
Console games are designed to work on an entire generation.

I love pc but I've had no shortage of pc games that just decide not to launch for seemingly no reason plus many other headaches like why wont my mouse software detect, why wont my 24pin PSU cable fit into the 24pin slot, is it my new motherboard that's faulty or is it my cpu, etc

another big advantage is that your not forced to buy the whole device at once. take your time and hunt for deals on parts. when you have a good setup you can decimate a console with just a GPU upgrade. note timing is important.
@@JVPlayz96 Or you plan for that, get a psu with more power than you need and a good cpu, while bottlenecking your gpu for a year or so and then switch to a great setup :)
Once you get a good setup, you don't really need to upgrade for 5-6 years.
I also don’t just do gaming. I code, do hw, emulate stuff, use VMs, etc
I just built a Ryzen 7500f with 3060 12gb, worried it'll preform the same or worse than my series x. It's my first PC, only spent $800

Only on games where modding is supported

- Expandable power supply and memory, 4k60 out, 90hz refresh rate, and choices to expand that
- CPU clocked at 8 cores/16 threads @ 4.41 Ghz (4.6 Turbo with a tower cooler + 4 fans vs a consoles 1 or 2 fans and no wider cooler)
- Plenty of room for extra crap
- Dedicated sound card, dedicated audio DAC, and optical/digital audio and video in/out, plus DP and HDMI 2.0
- 6x USB v3.0 slots and 2x USB-C thunderbolt ports (consoles have neither or 1 of each nowadays)
- 24GB of GDR5 memory vs the pros 16GB of GDR6 VRAM

An rtx 2060
An extra 16 gb of ram
And a 1 tb SSD
The PC cost less than $350 including shipping
Think about that $170 you saved plus the online service.
May i know what kinda PC do you have? I'm currently at a point where to choose which one should i buy console or Pc. But i like your siding with pc and now i want to know the type you have.
@@spiderman3309 @spiderman3309 Well, I have two (This actually goes into another reason I prefer PC that I'll get into in a minute). My "original" PC hardware is an i7-8700, 2070 Super, and 32gb 2666MHz DDR4 memory. My "new" PC is an i7-12700k, 3080 Ti, and 32gb 6000MHz DDR5 memory (You should go for 32gb if you're using DDR5, it can actually be more cost effective than 16gb. If you're using DDR4, you probably won't need 32gb, but for what I do, I need it.)
Originally, I had just swapped my 2070 Super for a 3080 Ti, then a few months later I bought new memory, motherboard, and CPU.
I'm down to answer more questions if you have any. I've spent a lot of time figuring out what I like more about each platform lol
@@spiderman3309 Oh not to mention that you get to keep your game libraries across different kinds of PCs. Laptops, Steam Decks, etc. If you had a console and then decided to buy a gaming laptop or a Steam Deck for portability, you'd have to buy a whole new library of games.
@@kreeperskid dude, Thank you so much for this detailed response; you explained everything excellently. Of course, the main reason I wanted the PC is that I can play older games without replacing the pc, and I was pleased to hear that the new hardware can run those games. That’s exactly what I wanted. I’m really satisfied with your answer. I just want to ask you the total cost for the whole process from the pc to the building & upgrade?
Also How often does it need to be upgraded, and what are the expected costs for each upgrade? Can one upgrade run almost every game perfectly, or at least most of them?
Lastly, is there a team that knows what each game needs to run perfectly, where you can just specify the type of game or its name and they do the job for you?
Or do you need to do it yourself and buy each part of the upgrade individually?
I'm asking this because I'm not familiar with it and can't figure out which upgrade parts I should buy. So it would be nice and easier if a team could do it for me for a fee.
Thank you once again.
@@spiderman3309 Oh and I forgot to say, your last question about how to know what you need for a game to run; At the bottom of every game on steam, it lists out the hardware requirements. It lists the specs you need for minimum graphics settings, and also what they actually recommend you have.
The funny part is people keep hoping consoles will catch up to pc, yet they forget the price is going to catch up just as quick. Consoles were supposed to be the cheap alt to pcs but let’s ruin that and make the performance and price match prebuilt pcs. Smh
They are still much better P2P than any PC that exists, it's still gonna be a hot minute before they have no advantage over PC's since the only advantage they really have is price, and that's not going anywhere
@@The_apprentice_of_revan You’re smoked it’s already happening. You can get an amazing prebuilt for 700$ and you could build yourself an even better pc for that much. Pc’s have access to thousands more games, they have the ability to be dual monitor, and the list goes on and on. Consoles aren’t bad but they aren’t supposed to be 700$ they are like I said “the cheap alternative to pc’s” but you guys wanna ruin that by hyping up a 700$ console.

I think Console Gaming had many advantages from the PS1 (1996) - (2011) PS3 era. Which is a respectable 15 Years. But the golden era of PC Gaming started at that point. Gone strong for the decade!
1) 2011->2013

2) 2016->2019->2021
r7-1700->r7-3700->r9-5800x3D

...and it started to dye at this point
3) 2023-> 2025 ?

Yep. Glad I joined the pc master race
Nothing will beat retro gaming and having the physical games from that era
One of the best things about PC is that you can modify the game however you want. I can buy a game on Xbox and play it as is or I can buy the same game on PC and do whatever I want to it
Also you don't have to replace it every 2 years and get like 30-50% of the original price when you do sell it.
Seeing how the ps5 pro is priced.... you must be tripping if you buy a ps5 pro over just buying a pc
You mean a console that needs a almost $500-600 graphics card anyway let alone 2tb and possibly better optimization per graphics
@@DrZombrain idk where you are looking for prices but even a 6700xt is more powerful than a ps5 alone and those go for around 180 to 250 in the used market, pair that with a 5600x that goes for around 120 as new, a decent motherboard for around 100 and you dont really need 2tb of storage just get a 1tb m.2 drive that goes for around 50 to 80 dollars, a case of maybe 80 to 100, a 80+ bronze rated power supplly for maybe 60 and 32gb of ddr4 that goes for around 50, and if you dont want the stock cooler that comes with the cpu you could also get a peerless assassin for about 40 dollars
And there you go, a 780 build better than a ps5
And also there is probably someone who is able to make a way better build for less and still being faster and better than a ps5
@@ApexWolfPR we aren’t talking about a ps5 rn we are talking about a the pro. And if you take the 45% boost, plus good enough ray tracing and to get a good equivalent of PSSR, you would need a 4070. Which is in the $500 range, without everything else, and you wouldn’t need to order or build or set up, consoles are meant for gaming and will have better plug n play. Plus when you get it, you get one of the best controllers if not the best on the market included 🤷
@@DrZombrain so if its just as strong as a 4070 means it will probably be beaten by 5060 and 8700 which will probably go for around 250 to 350 as per usual so really just get a pc cause a 700 dollar console With no disk tray included is a scam
$280 Xbox S for a causal gamer is absolutely worth it over a dedicated PC game machine.
Agreed, PC is the way to go. Consoles have met it's end. I used them since day one until a month ago when I bought a gaming pc. Never go back to console.
In an upcoming short I'm going to mention that most PC gamers don't go back to console.
fr the 4 year old consoles use 2019 hardware you could literally build a pc using said 2019 hardware via refurbished 😭
I like how he understands how the free market works and is a benefit to consumers. Subbed.
Don’t forget the upgradability and the fact that you can do so many other stuff than gaming on them
And with a PC, you can always wire it up to your preferred TV in case you miss the console experience. It may have its complications, but once you've done your setup properly, then, it's a matter of having massive fun
You can even make a PC with built-in Bluetooth, connect a wireless remote, configure your controls and play.
I think in the near future a lot of people will have living room PCs running SteamOS
Pretty exciting because no one has done the 'dead simple' thing without also locking you into an ecosystem like consoles do
I think the main selling point for consoles is the simplicity. I love pc, but sometimes I miss just being able to boot up my Xbox and launch a game with no issues and have a generally tailored experience.
Dude thank you for making me seem not crazy saying that consoles use upscalers. I theorized it forever and people called me crazy cuz im a pc gamer and their xbox or ps
Ps5 can only play at 1080p and at 1440p it is upscaled and the refresh rate drop to 60
To be fair most people playing 4K on PC are also using DLSS while not getting much over 60fps as well, it’s just 60fps on PC feels way different
@@WingPlaysGames I know people on PC use it, I'm one of them lol. People on the consoles tell me theirs run in native 4k and I explain to them that the console uses an upscaler and they try to argue or call me crazy

It makes sense if you just want simplicity. I've had my fair share of games that just won't launch on pc for seemingly no reason only to find there is no helpful info out there for my issue. I love pc and wouldn't trade it for anything but it's by no means perfect
@@jameybobamey7343 gaming laptops or mini gaming pcs are a great option, plenty there to chose from though probably not the best bang for your buck
As a person who went from a hardcore xbox player, to a pc player, I would have rather sold my xbox and games just to the functionality of a pc
That shirt, earned a follow. Haha!
You forgot that pc can play online anytime everytime and for free with no monthly/yearly subscriptions
@@todaysdesperadohatesavocad7109 there are people that are ready to pay for the long term as long as it doesn't break the bank, I as someone who bought a ps5 slim bought it not because I like ps5 exclusive titles but Because PC parts were more expensive plus I don't have a place or a monitor for it which kind of sucked because I consider versatility over specialty which pc offer and is made for it
@@todaysdesperadohatesavocad7109 can you plz recommend a type of pc that is not too expensive and at the same time can do all the work that a console would?

PC is hella upgradeable and repairable
They last forever (kinda) minus the power supply. I upgrade a PC every 10 years, it's kinda like owning a car.
I have officially retired from being a diehard console gamer. Waiting for my new and improved pc to be ready.
You have made a choice that will last a lifetime
There really isn't much of a difference if you don't mod games or do other work on a pc. Since you'll probably update your parts every new console generation the latest, and every half generation the earliest.
I do both.
@luxnoria I do other stuff, I mod, I want to be able to just have all my games on one thing, I want access to more games, better vr experience, and the games perform/look way better.
@@tomaliothetomato439 If you use a console for gaming then all the games are on one thing. It's only if you split yourself between pc and console. But hey least on console you don't need to download multiple launchers.
I've not done vr since vr is expensive anywhere and it's not worth it imo. My pc is mostly just for youtube and work.
I've noticed no performance difference between my pc and ps5, but with very few select high end games there is a graphical difference. But since I rarely play super high end games. true!
Not going to lie I was a heavy console guy until I came to my senses and built my first gaming PC a few years ago and haven’t look back I still like my PS5 but PC opened up my eyes to a whole lot.
What was the cost to build yours tho? And does it compatible for every game old and new ones?
@@spiderman3309why wouldn't it be?
You absolutely can Grab an Old Xbox Game and Play it on the newest one. Even original xbox Games are running, aswel as xbox 360 and xbox one games.
Cross gen compatibility doesn't exist ig
It's really impressive what PC is able to do
What type of pc do you have and what is the overall cost to build it?
Who the f buy games we pirate them here😂😂
Woahhhhhh, you're a pirate!
W pcs and L consoles
W's everywhere!
They said back then 90% of the price was physical disc and distribution, but now we even don't buy games, just licences and it costs to as 60 USD 😢
The best part about pc u can upgrade over time while with console ur gonna have to spend another 500-700 usd every few years
When did PS4 come out and when did PS5 come out? 😂😂😂😂
Every few years!? You mean every seven to ten years!
True especially when i pirate all of the singleplayer games
Epic games giving away free AAA games is big Win for me imo
Also another factor people don't consider with consoles is that if you really want the best experience (*4k*, high refresh rates and similar visual enjoyment) you also require a TV that supports all of that which in most cases averages another $500 assuming you don't already have a higher end TV
Not to mention greater selection of video game stores as well as games from Independent developers. Also add to that that a high-end gaming PC can also be used as a video editing/graphic design workstation so it's easier to monetize
Yeah you can do high refreshrate but 95% of console players play on a TV which is 99% of the time locked at 60hz with insanely high latency 😅
I'm curious to know the cost to benefits over the last 4-5 years plus distinguish between solo gaming and game sharing in a household.
And the fact that with PC you gradually upgrade parts instead of tossing out the old gen console and buy a new one. Therefore you can play the same games now matter how old and from what «generation» they’re from!
Them shorts boi wit dat leopard 🐆 makes you look spicey my dawg
Killed it on the points. The only thing I would tweak is the fact that for just a couple hundred dollars more than a console, you can have a better system than a console console companies can say all they want that their games run in 4K 165 Hz but in all honesty, most games are not running anywhere near that and most are stuck at 60 FPS so 165 Hz means nothing
The issue is you find a pc with similar cost but you then have optimisation issues with loads of top games.
That shirt is wild
I think they serve 2 different purposes. PC is designed to be customisable and versatile, you can tailor the experience to your exact use case. a Console is simpler and just works with very little issues but the trade off is that console is more limited in terms of functionality.
I have a Ryzen 6800 with a RTX 3070 ti laptop. Which console does this compare to performance wise? 🤔
