x-men the animanted series didn't look bad to me back in the 90s it look great to me in my opinion but i respect your honest opinion if you didn't know the oringial x-men animanted series in the 90s
This actually have the best art style of all the animated X-Men, since it looks almost like their comics counterpart, the only problems are the fluidity of the animation and frame rate.
The designs were cool, no doubt… The animation however was reeeeally bad, even for its time. The movements were always super clunky and slow. Compared to something like Batman the Animated Series which came out the same year and legitimately still holds up both storytelling wise and visually, XMen doesn’t really in the visuals department. That being said, I still have fond memories watching the show as a kid, and now as an adult appreciate the adaptations of the comic stories. But yeah, that animation is still rough to look at lol.

The art style is actually good, the animation is the problem since it's very clunky, but this also have the best story out of all the animated X-Men, and also have the most iconic theme song.
@@Mannyhdz0052 You do realize I'm talking about the 90's X-Men right? John was actually talking about the animation of the original, and this was my reply to it.
I agree, the animation was ROUGH. It's why I preferred X-Men Evolution more. I still love the 90's animated series so of course I'm HYPED AF for this continuation.
@@karlluigi1987 To be fair to mr. Just a thought to possibly take into consideration for next time.
That trailer looks really old, like they made it a year ago and were waiting to drop it. Cal Dodd's voice sounds off compared to how he's sounded in recent videos voicing Wolverine, like he didn't have time to practice. Plus a lot of screen caps in articles look vastly improved.
@@geek-out The final season was animated by a different animation house and looked terrible. The clip at the beginning of this trailer is from that final season that is largely hated by fans.
Season 5 saw a marked decline in many aspects of the show as Fox began cutting the budget. Visually the colors became flat, the movements over-expressive, and the camera work static. The new animation style is not identical to the original, but it's far closer to that than the Season 5 style. @@geek-out
Dude I assure you, you were in the vast MINORITY. That cartoon was very good. And sorry dude. BAOAT (best artist of all time): I give my vote to John Bryne or Micheal Turner.
No shame in admitting it man, I didn't care too much for it either. BUT, for the episodes I did see here and there, like the flashback of how Wolverine teamed up with Captain America, I thought it was alright, and I did like the opening theme. Besides, I grew up more on X-Men: Evolution anyway! Still, I am excited to see how this will turn out
This dudes a hater and biased towards anime obviously like bruh anime wasnt even a thing like it is now it was 1992, 1992 like what did u actually expect smh
The designs were cool, but the animation was still pretty wack even for ‘92. Considering Batman TAS dropped the same year as The OG XMen show, and had better And more fluid animation (for a western cartoon), XMen visually looked pretty bad. The designs did try to adapt Jim lee’s drawing style, but they didn’t animate well.
@@thedefinitionisthis yeah that was everybody’s favorite show but to say BTAS was light years ahead in animation is crazy that’s just being picky and annoying. Spiderman show had the same animation as X-men u gonna hate on that too?
The animation is quite poor in the original show. Very clunky and small amount of FPS. Prof X didn't die, he was taken by his alien empress girlfriend to be healed.
Bravo Disney for generating yet another flop that no one wants based on a series that the intro was the best thing about it lmao. My only question is why they didn't make the new leader of the xmen a woman...which will probably happen since Magneto cannot lead the xmen...ever.
So do you like the new artstyle and animation?

Nah, everything about it is solid it's based on the 90 series but a little more modernized.

Oh yeah the 90's X-Men are BACK IN ACTION!!!😁✊🏿 I just wish I could say the same for the 90's Spider-Man too😒

Did it get worse?

I recommend, Pryde of The X-Men, animated movie. You may enjoy the art style and storyline in that film.
Nope xDxD
So u wamtee the anime like the japanese xmen opening?
Oh snap! I never knew that existed! Just checked it out... and it's AWESOME!

The animation imo is similar to DCs *TOMORROWVERSE!*

Jim lee worked at marvel during that time
He definitely didn't work on the art for the toon!
