- On our 66th Independence Day, Team MAYA dedicates to this glorious country the complete version of the Indian National Anthem written by Shri Rabindranath Tagore.
Composed by Judah Sandhy and performed by over 15 young musicians from Bangalore, we are ambitious of creating a unique video version that will justify the true spirit and essence of our anthem: "by the people, of the people, and for the people of India".
We welcome crowdfunding to create this music video.

first stanza - the map of united India
Second stanza - Secularism and republican values of equality and justice
Third stanza - Challenges and life of freedom fighters
Fourth stanza - Humanism and sanskars of the nation
Fifth stanza - An independent, united India The India that the revolutionaries steamed of.
Sadly, people always fight over religion. In India, there is always an Us vs Them.
Instead of destroying mosques to build temples, let's destroy our egoistic and backward society to create a society with justice, nationalism and humanism.

Our national anthem ends at the first stanza. This was chosen so as 3rd stanza points to Krishna and 4th to Kali/Durga/Mother Goddess and would have been questioned for a secular country. First stanza points to God, but not specific, so would have been fine with all religions (except for Atheists, which were not considered at that time to be important).
So this is complete Jana Gana Mana, as written by Tagore, not complete Anthem. Indian National Anthem ends at the first stanza of Jana Gana Mana.
Same is true for Vandemataram as well. Only the first stanza is National Song as the rest of the stanza are calling names of Hindu Goddesses (Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati). Had Vandemataram not part of a communal novel (Anandmath), had a more upbeat tune, and not had the word Vande (which can be translated to worship), it would possibly have been our Anthem. Vandemataram was a popular war-cry of freedom fighters. It used to really irk the British.

It is not national anthem, it is poem of tagore. When strictly sang only in 52 seconds max. It becomes national anthem.

@Archan Joshi - while I appreciate your spirit very very much, we need to discuss something about our misconceptions ( before going through this video, I didn't have the idea that they exist). Our anthem was written in pure Bengali by Tagore. It was not a sanskritised Bengali. Our national song - Vande Mataram, again written by a great Bengali novelist Bankim Chandra Chattopadhaya, is a classic example of "Sanskritised Bengali".
Request those who are interested, to listen to the rendition of the full version of anthem by Ms Swagata Laxmi Dasgupta ( she has two versions) to find out how sweet our anthem is, how pleasant it is to our ears!
When we hear our anthem - on one hand, by the way of Hindi accent, we loose it's real charm to some extent, but on the other, we gain a lot by boosting our spirit - the spirit and essence of INDIA. It is this song that unites India amidst it's diversity. That is the job of an Anthem!
Next, coming back to your point - it is childish to proclaim Tagore, BankimChandra, Netaji, Vivekanda as Bengalees (only). True, the way and the depth to which we will understand them - will probably be much better than others. But this is also true that, once "produced", they were all "produced" for India as a whole and not for Bengal alone! They all were born to augment the spirit of India!
