    It’s a pleasure listening to the voice over explaining and showing how to actually use this. ( without having to listen to some irritating background music. Thats highly annoying ) Also getting a key number. To get a replacement key cut.

    Thanks for video. I wasn't successful at first, but I opened up my lishi manuel, and I learned that Gen 1 Hu66, you pick 1 up 1 down, and I was picking 2 up and down that's used on gen 2 and gen 3 locks. But my first hu66 lock picking experience happened to be on a 99 golf gen 1 lock. So, for anyone unaware, it's good to know this. Thanks bro

      @@BoredLockpicker I know this is the first time I actually did that just to know where the first wafer was actually read that in the manual as well. But I have heard you metion and do it on most locks. In future I'm gonna practice this just to get a feel for a lock. I'm so use to picking in pairs. But now I know to get the feel for the lock first.

    You know how the 1,2,5 and 6 are at the top of the Lishi pick,I see you picked'away' from the numbers on the pick edges,I just watched a guy doing it the exact opposite way,he picked say number 1 for example 'away' from where the number 1 is missing on the outer edge of the tool,does it matter which way you do it?
    Hope you understand what I mean?Thanks.

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  9 месяцев назад

      Sorry I have no idea what you mean. Basically with a Lishi. When you insert it with no tension. You can feel where the wafers are. Then you apply tension and pick them.

    • @bobbaxter952
      @bobbaxter952 9 месяцев назад

      @@BoredLockpicker I'm talking about the numbers printed on the Lishi tool.Numbers 1 2,5 and 6 are printed right along the outer edge of the tool,and on the opposite edge of the tool 3,4,7 and 8.
      When you started picking you moved the pick lever 'away' from where number one is printed on the tool,and you continued to pick with the lever moving it away from where the numbers are on the edge of the tool.
      And as i said i have noticed someone doing it the opposite way,moving the pick lever 'towards' the numbers printed on the very edge of the tool.
      Does it matter which way you pick?
      It's a hard thing to explain,sorry.:-)

      What I mean is when your picking the lock sometimes the point goes up towards the number other times it goes down away from the number it seems like it depends on which one you are using. Like this one it goes down away from it

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  Год назад +1

      Never heard of a vw fox but if it’s hu66 and you can get it make sure you’re increasing tension as you set wafers. The other thing is make sure if something wiggles at all you leave it alone. If you have any 4 depths and you slightly pick them you’ve overset them and you’ll never get the lock the open.

    • @claire3500
      @claire3500 Год назад

      Thankyou for kind reply what do u mean by 4 depths is that the actual cut on key itself when u come to cut it

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  Год назад

      @@claire3500 yes. 4 is the deepest cut. Are you working a car for a customer or just practicing? If you have the lock off the car sometimes vw had a code stamped on it. Knowing the cuts can help you with picking when you’re learning.
