@@paddleandhook yeah that was my biggest in the 8 years fishing around Milton. I’ve caught some nice fish at trap pond and Ingram pond mostly on wacky rig.
LOL sorry man, I have lost so many live target frogs to the dreaded chain pickerel. That place is really going to be good in may when all that hydrilla is healthy. That pause is crucial, I fish crank baits like that some times, i rip it and if i hit a branch or rip rap I pause it. Sometimes I do that around cover when when they are really sticking to structure.
Its that time of year now when pickerel are actually welcome to beat those winter fishing blues. I haven’t been out in a good while. This place is fun in spring for sure
Its crystal clear until about may then the junk builds up. Theyre planning to build basically a massive town around this pond over the next few years so im sure the runoff will worsen.
Im not really sure, i need to get better at panfish identification. -So this time of year the vegetation has all died, i would like to go back and snorkel and get a look at UW structures etc :) Its great in spring before the growth! Im trying to fish there a lot now since they have planned a whole community to be built around the place-it may get shut down to fishing a while next year
That's cubbage pond and it's Lincoln DE not Milton. I grew up in the 2 story with the sea wall and float dock. Fished it my whole life. Best time is spring spawn and turtle hatch. The bass fill up on baby turtles and get fat. Thanks for the video.
@@jodude6780 Hello! It was diamond pond in milton in this particular video. I have been wanting to fish cubbage for a while, they seem to have multiple species there i see folks on fish brain doing well there. Thanks for the Intel on the turtle hatch! I may have to do a video there this spring ❤️
Diamond pond in milton delaware. Its different the last two years because it has grown up with weeds so its only open for deeper water techniques like 6months a year

Wow, that’s a messy pond. Was it in the middle of summer? I never got notification for this video. Nice day. Plenty of fish.

It was September
Deepest and scummiest. Nice bass and that one pickerel was a beauty. What was that sunfish? Redear or pumpkinseed? 👍
