So... this is now mine and my partners song. They recently came down to visit me, after several months of planning (he and I are officially dating now whoop whoop).
It was about 1am, we were both having trouble sleeping because it was so bloody cold, and for no real reason I can think of, I decided to play this song. I sang it to him, word for word. Something you have to know about me is that my mind cannot form details, faces, voices, touch, all that just comes and goes. But music has always tethered me to emotions. I listen to music to remember the times I've listened to it. And singing this to my partner, made him smile.
And now whenever I listen to this song I remember that smile.
So Hannah, I say this with all seriousness. Thank you for the memories.
P.S: I will most likely sing this at our wedding because I want to remember that day just as much (we don't have plans for it yet, but Imma pencil this song in :)
