    Great job . I’m curious what you would do if it was gouged and you had to fill and paint to keep that brushed look.

    Excellent Mr. Lockwood! I haven’t encountered any aluminum panels yet but plenty of the fake looking ones both light and dark titanium colors.
    One question, on dyeing light colored carpet like shown, do you start with a light coat of white then tan or what is best practice for best coverage?

      I usually start with the lightest metallic coater and add a small amount of white or yellow pigment as needed. To thin it out I am using plastic primer. For this vehicle in particular I didn't start from scratch but happened to have a leftover from a previous carpet and glad to find another use for it!

    I think factory anodized aluminum woul look a lot better.

      Thanks. The flaking is the factory clearcoat coming off. So here we are restoring it to original. If the OEM was only anodized it wouldn't be peeling which, yes, would be another option for the manufacturer.
