Bumblebee's transformation reminds me of the time where he transformed in slow motion with Sam then turned back into a car in the highway while Sam was screaming in dark of the moon
It is impossible, toy factories paints must have taken hours, if not days, and when you have to mass produce a product to go in stores, that just is too slow. That is why third party figures looks so good, they produce maybe a couple to a dozen a year whereas Hasbro produces almost 100.
They still couldn't scale the model to match the movie. Other autobots should be around optimus waist's height. Do you have the masterpiece series as well? Would love to see them!

I do feel that some of the figures didn’t need additional paint and weathering effects like Starscream.
Did you paint all of those yourself at the time? It’s crazy what a little bit of paint can do to make a toy look good.
