Good for you for reaching out to your doctor. I didn’t and it’s something I regret. Moms shouldn’t suffer - it’s hard enough. ❤ Thank you for sharing with your community and normalizing it!

Truly glad to see you navigating motherhood at your own pace.
My twins are 19 months old, and I am still struggling hard with mitigating self-employment, being an independent strong woman with my own hobbies, and my own identity... I know this is different to everyone, but I often feel like I traded my independent happy life to now being a glorified nanny, housekeeper, cleaner, cooker, etc. while also squeazing some work in if I am lucky.
We live alone abroad and have no one around here. If I would change one thing it would be knowing how hard it is to have kids without a support network. You just never have a break.

That postpartum depression man! It makes you believe lies! So glad you got the help you need. I love my kids but I sure wouldn’t wish to repeat the baby years. It gets so much better. ❤

I agree putting a baby on camera may be a security issue but I am thrilled to hear about her and your journey so far. Atleast we get the sense that she is part of your life.

Girl, I wish you had Nora before I had my baby because I relate to this SO much… I wish I would have had this video as a resource… the depression, the intrusive thoughts, the not feeling like yourself… it’s all spot on with how I felt… and to be candid I’m 23 months postpartum and I JUST told my husband this month that I’m starting to feel like myself. 💕

My first baby will be three months next week. I really feel this whole video! The fourth trimester is rough but it passes, and there’s so many magical moments. I already miss her newborn scrunch.

The emotions along with the lack of good restful sleep can be really tough especially for first time moms who dont know yet what to truly expect.

I love this, thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. I has horrible postpartum depression and anxiety with my first 8 years ago, I never knew other women struggled with it and thought I was just a bad mom. It's women like you who are honest about the post partum experience that helped me SO much and now I'm such an advocate for new moms/post partum moms. I had my second almost 2 years ago and going into it prepared was so helpful and knowing how hard it was going to be and knowing that if I'm struggling it's normal and to ask for help made all the difference. I actually experience newborn bliss the second time around (which I thought wasn't real beforehand..) and now want one or two more kids when after my first I was convinced I'd be one and done, I mean it took me 6 years to summon the courage for a second haha. Also most of us post partum women have done some screaming so you're not alone there. God Bless You and again thanks for your vulnerability and honesty! ❤

For the post partum smell (and all body odor) I highly recommend Lume. They make a body wash and a deodorant in toasted coconut and they work so freaking well. When you sweat it smells like coconuts. I get compliments CONSTANTLY. It’s amazing😊

It is awesome to be able to breastfeed for as long as possible. The only thing I would warn about is around 2 it becomes a coping mechanism which isn't bad but makes it so much harder to stop. They fall or are sick and want it, which just makes it hard. Don't think it is wrong, just harder.

Be prepared! When you stop breastfeeding….ouch! That was a wee bit emotional/hormonal and very painful, just a heads up. Women are so so strong and resilient😅
