Sir you are saying that if any qualitative variable quantify by other than (0,1) than it will not be considered as dummy variable. bur sir when we take such a variable that has 5 categories then how we will assign numbers to these categories. these will definitely exceed (0,1) like in case of five categories of a variable we have to assign (0,1,2,3,4) but still confused that why are you saying that other than zero and one will not be considered dummy variable.Plz clarify me.

Let's take a dummy variable for week days. If u have data of daily sales let's suppose sales of Monday it means we put 1 in Monday and 0 in all other days.

in my understand after watching your video.. 1 for on and 0 for off.
if male is present it takes 1 other is off for women .. when women gets 1 its mean responded is women which takes 1 and male 0 for off.. is it same like 0 and 1 of computer langugae
