- Russian President Vladimir Putin says NATO countries risk facing "tragic" consequences if they send troops to Ukraine.
“[Western nations] must understand that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory. All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilisation,” he said.
Putin’s comments came after French President Emmanuel Macron said sending troops to Ukraine should not be “ruled out” on Monday.
Following Macron’s comments, multiple Western countries such as the US and UK have revealed they had no plans to send troops to Ukraine.
During his speech, the Russian President also said it is “nonsense” that he would ever attack Europe but warned of a potential nuclear conflict if the West tried an “intervention" in Russia.
Send the politicians first. It could be a pay-per-view event.

America lost in Afghanistan the same way they lost Vietnam. Zelensky and Ukraine have attempted to join NATO but have always publicly been denied. If there were secret "meetings" to try to get Ukraine into NATO behind Russia's back, that's a matter of speculation. But if NATO really wanted to (and could), they'd be able to ratify Ukraine's entry in a matter of seconds. Either they didn't want to, or they couldn't. Couldn't being: other country's refusal (i.e Turkey, Hungary...) or by Ukraine first needing to end the war in Donbass 2014-2022 due to territorial dispute. Ukraine had no desire to end the war to join NATO, and so Ukraine had no chance of joining NATO 2022. Further actions by the EU and the US proved the west literally abandoned Ukraine at the start of the 24.2.2022 invasion. It was only after Ukraine fought off the initial attacks, that a post-war Ukraine entry into NATO became a public talk, and the very definition of "Ukraine's" sphere as as a part of west as opposed to Russia became a talk-point, implying the west saw Ukraine as a part of the Russian sphere prior to war.
tl;dr Ukraine had interest to join NATO pre-war but wasn't allowed in, and hadn't been allowed in despite trying since 2014.
I see no reason why we can't be friends with Russia. Call a ceasefire, give Russia a chunk of Ukraine (they have no say in this as the only reason they're still there is our money and weapons) and then everyone just say ok, thats enough. Lets trade and be nice and be prosperous together again.
Russia never wanted any part of Ukraine, they just wanted Ukraine to be neutral and not pose strategical threat to Russia. No foreign military no foreign weapons very simple. Remember how USA reacted when Russia negotiated weapon installation in Cuba.

I have worked with other branches... like the parachutists but nothing to compare. The company drop the légionnaire in the jungle for 3 weeks training purposes. They left with 1 week of MRE. For the last two weeks, they had to figure out what and how to eat by themselves in the jungle.
