I've had the Wolfgang Puk 1700 watt steam oven for approx 4 years but it's just stopped working totally so I'm devastated.........not being able to get a spare circuit board makes it potentially a door stopper apart from the fact that it's 110volts....came from the USA and runs on a transformer......... so I just bought this Cusinart model on EBAY for A$300 and the blurb states it has 3 years warranty..........we'll see. My favourite frozen vegy mix is the Birdseye Oriental stir fry mix, alternatively the Chinese or Thai variety, which gives you a 7 variety mix of vegies you normally don't get in small quantities, and stored in my freezer with no preparation they're always ready to go. With the Wolfgang steam oven it takes 5 minutes to come up to temperature and 15 minutes to cook the vegies so I hope this one will be similar. I also cook a small meat pie with the vegies in 15 minutes so it's a very quick and clean up friendly way to make a meal.....I cook for one only........and haven't used my gas oven or stove top in all the 4 years. I cook fish and chips, sausage rolls, bread rolls, sausages, pork chops etc etc. all in the steam oven......freezer to table in 20 minutes.
I wish there were cookbooks for this oven. If I am using a regular old recipe how do I know how to adapt it this oven? Times: 30% less as a rule and go from there? Is there less chance of overcooking with steam giving me a safety net? So many questions and no one to ask.
does anyone know if this oven is double wall and insulated? I've noticed cheaper models i had in the past felt like they were just sheet metal with a heating element
Mine died recently. Still under warranty, fortunately. I loved it but it’s been discontinued. I now have the air fryer which I also like. Different but very good. Cuisinart’s warranty is a reason to stick with the brand.
It looks like it's tilting to the right... I think it might be important to control the steam amount though when it comes to bread.. and most of these toaster ovens don't cook properly except the Breville high end.. according to America's Test Kitchen so buyer beware..
That looks great, but you overcooked the bok-choy. I personally like my veggies almost raw. So, I would've removed the bok-choy with the fish. Nice demo, tho'. Thanks.
I absolutely LOVE mine! I’ve had it for about 6 months and honestly can say I have no complaints. It’s totally worth the money.
Hi, I am thinking of buying the oven. Just want to know how uniform it toasts bread on both sides. Thank you.
I bought this and use it mostly for fishes. Damn, the best and most convenient salmon I've ever had

I was wondering this too. Touch the sides when it's hot. That will let you know.
Why were there left over pieces of raw fish?
I like the bread settings but it looks too small to have a loaf of bread in there
AmyLearnsToCook did you ever test it?
The rack goes lower. Loaf fits fine.
It’s fine for a regular loaf. I make mine all the time.
Do you need to put water in the tank when baking?
Which setting for bake cheesecake ?

My mom bought one when she tries to start it on the steam mod, it says "add water" even if the water level is maximum
Does it need to put water in the reservoir when we use bake steam?
OF COURSE. Where would you get the steam otherwise?!
So is this review six years old? Haven't there been upgrades since then?
