We're in lockdown and I cut my partner's hair today, I had never cut hair before in my life, took me 2 hours!! I used 1, 2 and 3 clippers then scissors over comb but because he's blond he looks so shaved on the sides... Also he has a very long face so kind of ended up looking a bit of a pineapple 😂🍍 Watching your technique now I have a much better idea of what I have to do next time. Cheers! I agree. For a little child, he didn't have to shave off so much hair. Why do barbers insist on doing fades? It would be nice to see a normal haircut, for a change.

My son has red hair and keeping his hair super short was the best way to keep it. We also stopped letting women cut his hair when he was little because they always messed it up and you could see every mistake in his hair. Barbers all the way.
You know women can be barbers too, right? And it also had nothing to do with his hair color, it was his texture. If he had fine, straight, silky hair like this boy, it can look choppy VERY easily. My hair type is the same way and I'm dark blonde/light brown..

It looks more shaved because he has red hair, the red and blonde make it harder to see. But a 1 and 1 1/2 are actually good fade numbers for the bottom and sides

When the camera cut, did you blow dry the fringe (bangs) to make them sit over? Or did you cut it in a different way to make it sit nicer, great finished product especially seeing what you started with was like the covid cuts I’m guessing we will all be dealing with soon 😂

The reason why his hair isn't pliable is because he's combing it the wrong way so it's having a hard time laying flat naturally

With hair that fine and light it seems unnecessary to go that short on the sides. May as well have balded him out.
Very clean back and sides, but to me , too much long on the top...a very short flat top would be better!

Still uneven around where the fade was made . His scissors don’t cut very good and there were times he was looking away talking as he was using the scissors. And when a young mans hair is butchered you don’t play in the chair with the camera man about closing your eyes while cutting making the young man more uncomfortable. Sorry not sorry ! 🤷🏾♂️

Next day I bet his hair looked terrible or he just shaved it. A haircut like that you can’t just wake up and wash it and have it look nice. A young kid like that isn’t going to style it everyday

He did a good job with the jacked up mess he was given. U can only do so much with a bad haircut. A 1 is short but because he has super light baby chick hair it looks bald. I have jet black hair and when I get a 1 it looks short but not too short.

They use different things like that to blow off hair, in the states some barbers use a small air compressor to blow hair off the client

Oster Octane
Don't get the Octanes they are loud as Hell, I guarantee your customers WILL complain about the noise. I have them and almost Everytime I use them someone comments on how loud they are. I just tell them that they are really powerful. LMAO. Andis BGRC or BGR+ are way better and way, way quieter. They can be used with a cord, or cordless. They are a little more expensive than the Octanes, but you'll be better off in the long run. Battery Charger is sold separately, or you might be able to get everything all together if you're lucky. But, I bought 2 Andis one BGRC and one BGR+ I bought my charger and batteries separate. I hardly use the Octanes any more. 300 bucks wasted,because they ARE LOUD. Anyone says they aren't is just full of bull. Spend the extra 100 bucks for the Andis. You' and your clients will be happier. The Andis are lighter and more ergonomic for your hand, besides being nice and quiet, and they D Bulk like mad. Also easier to fade with if you can fade with detachable blades.
@@elliottnunez1057 I have Andis Supra. I find noise levels vary depending on which blades you have on it.
The Supras are pretty good But the Octanes are noises regardless of what blade you use. My blades make noise I adjust the two tabs on the blade. Stops them from being noisy.

It’s a correction cut people sometimes you have to cut it off to even it and grow if out. Boys hair will grow fast. A one is very short that’s what he used I cut my hubby’s hair with a one he used right one
