Safety signals play a crucial role in regulating the nervous system, particularly in the context of anxiety and stress. The nervous system is composed of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which work together to maintain balance in the body's physiological and psychological responses.
When an individual experiences anxiety, the SNS is often activated, leading to the "fight or flight" response. This response is designed to help the body respond quickly to perceived threats. However, in chronic anxiety, this system can become overactive, contributing to heightened states of arousal, muscle tension, increased heart rate, and other symptoms associated with anxiety disorders.
Safety signals act as cues to the nervous system that the environment is safe and that there is no immediate threat. These signals help activate the PNS, which is responsible for the "rest and digest" response, promoting relaxation and recovery. By providing the nervous system with cues of safety, individuals can shift from a state of hyper-arousal to a calmer and more balanced state.

I have a question. What I understand from your videos is that we should surrender to our anxiety and not resist it. Wouldnt doing these things a form of resistance or fighting against it to make them go away?

Dennis went from having horrible anxiety to now fully understanding the mechanics of it, so he's not just on here telling you his symptoms and what he went through. He's on here giving us the answers we need to get ourselves out of this fight or flight mode. He has done the anxiety thing, came out of it, then did the research on how anxiety works, and gives the best solutions. Dennis, I'm certain you have brought so many to the other side of this. Your experience and words are so valuable! Thank you for everything you do! 👏

I struggled with anxiety and OCD from the age of 11 and when I was 18 I started “rebelling” against my anxiety. I did the opposite of whatever my ocd was telling me to do and it was liberating and I got over it for so long. When you comment on making deliberate mistakes walking backward doesn't really seem like a mistake what you said later it's not. However, I think you were referring more to doing things differently that seemed kind of silly?

Best way is to see it as an effect and not a cause, and try not to stop it at all

Thanks you, for your support I have cured my anxiety, depression, and health, Bye bye, and I want to say one thing if you want to cure it then bicycle for 45 minutes and take cold shower and have trust in the lord Jesus (any god except Allah, as Allah is imagination of Muhammad ) and universe Amen. Let it go....

I can understand your hate towards Islam from your name. If you had knowledge about Prophet Jesus then you would have also known about Prophet Muhammad. Also having anxiety is better as compared to having toxicity and hate in mind.

@@irfanshaikh-fq6cw yes Mr Irfan Shaikh I have a very good knowledge of Islam, and I know very well Islam , because I live in them, and I have read 4 holly books of Islam, and I am pretty damn sure now that Allah is an imaginary thing created by Muhammad, it's a evil religion, materialistic religion, but you will never understand it, because your mind is closed and cannot accept the unexpected truth amen
