I agree! I am getting ready to move away from a traditional highlight for my medium blond hair to a more natural look with lighter ends and around my face. Maybe that is why you don’t need the products you used to use that now feel heavy on your hair…just a thought. I would imagine the less bleach used and the healthier hair becomes, less product or better yet different product is needed to maintain healthy hair. I just need the grow out to be more natural since I am highlighting once every 3 months. Love your videos!
@@AbbeyYung Yes! This would be lovely! I have a few of your mentioned favorites on my list ( like pureology color fanatic and dpHue acv rinse), but would love to know about any other favorites to try!!

Video suggestion is checking out Davines Hair Products. I love them and there are very few videos about them on RUclips. Also…the Shark Styler. It’s way more affordable than the Dyson and with Black Friday around the corner, I’m really considering what tool is worth the splurge. Your opinions are great!

Absolutely! I sold Mary Kay years ago, and I always donated the products I didn't sell to our local Women's Shelter. They were always so thankful to have the products, because some of these women leave their situations with nothing, but the clothes on their back. 😢
Side note Abbey, I tried the vanicream facial moisturizer and think it’s my new holy grail moisturizer. 🙌 and I usually don’t like products with hyaluronic acid!
Please do a triple bond complex video review on the living proof brand, Abbey. Would really like to hear your take on it, since you have tried so many other bond treatments already. 😊
Oh 😧 I just bought the COSRX low ph good morning cleanser for my 15 year old daughter. What would you recommend as a cleanser that is hydrating ? And not too expensive. Love ❤️ from Sweden 🇸🇪
Makeup forever HD Skin is my holy grail foundation and I’ve tried many. Julia Adams here on YT said that she didn’t like it when she wore it the first couple times and then she realized she was not shaking it well as the instructions say. One time it didn’t work for me and I wonder if it was because I didn’t shake it?! In the end I think it was what I was wearing underneath. Now I perfect my base without skimping on my moisturizer and it goes great. If I just use sunscreen as a moisturizer stand it it doesn’t sit well.
Abbey, I have to thank you for sharing your knowledge bc it gave me my hair back! I used to have great hair (think like 90s Cindy Crawford meets Rose Huntington Whitely; I had an awesome cowlick that always gave me great volume around my face.) until I got sick about 6 years ago (I was 22.) I lost a ton of hair, mostly around my face which affected my cowlick, due to the stress my body was under and some meds I was on. I’ve also had major fluctuations in my weight from my illness. My hair & looks were definitely part of my identity, so losing them was hard, but I am constantly working on a more healthy relationship with the body I have now bc it’s been able to survive so much. Thankfully, however, I changed meds 2 years ago and have been slowly seeing my hair return to the density and pattern I had before. However, my hair still felt so weighed down, frizzy, and dull and it took forever to dry and didn’t style as well despite the fact that I take much better care of it than I used to. I had just accepted this as my new texture. That’s all until I decided to try the ouai detox shampoo and redkens acidic bonding line after hearing you recommend them. O. M. G. My hair actually feels like my hair again for the first time in over 6 years! I can’t thank you enough for your recommendations. Your videos have helped me to get back a part of myself that I thought was gone forever. I can’t tell you how much that means to me❤️
Try taking the Vital Proteins collagen! I lost hair due to taking a medication and it was slow slow to regrow, even years later. I tried VP and within 3 months I saw major results. I feel like I need a promo code 😂
I remember I used to use the Tsubaki shampoos and hair milk when I lived in Japan but since then I've not used them, mostly sticking to western brands like Amika, Olaplex etc. for the bond repair which does not seem to be a thing in Japanese/Asian hair care. I suppose they have super straight 1A strong hair over there, so Asian hair products are probably made for that Asian poker straight hair rather than western hair
I totally agree with you about packaging. You know you're getting charged for the cute yet inconvenient bottles, etc. Along the same lines, if a product has too much packaging, I'm over it. I haaaaate throwing away plastic 😢
Hi Abbey, interested to know all your favorite shine enhancing products! You've mentioned a few in your past vids (anika flash, colorwow dreamcoat), but I was wondering about others. Also, what products are your favorite heat protectants for when you blow dry and heat style. I've been blow drying only my roots (for heatless styles) but I don't want to use anything too heavy to weigh them down, so I only use a little bit. I'm worried it's not enough protection....anyway, any help would be appreciated!! 😊
When I was in Miami, this was the Make Up For Ever HD foundation was incredible and perfectly skin-like on me! Now that I've moved to a northern state, Idk how I feel about it. I guess it just takes a little bit of extra prep and then I love it again on my normal to oily skin.
I'm glad you are decluttering. It always feels good to do a refresh on our collections. If I were you, getting so many PR and products would lead me to dating the products so its easier to track when they expire. Apparently Tati is having a major eye issue from expired eye makeup and I would hate for you to go through that! 💖💝💖
Megan Malicki, Just because something is expired does not mean it will lead to an infection for most products except for mascara. Hey Abbey! I'm sorry, this question is not related to the video, but I really wanted to ask what product are you currently using to prevent your hair from drying out in between washes? I feel like this is my main issue lately, and I really trust your opinion. Thanks
Off this topic, but I’m binging a lot of your old videos and I came across a ranking drugstore hair brands, I would love a part two! I love dove oxygen moisture shampoo for my fine, oily prone hair! I would love to hear your thoughts on it!

Thanks for another great video Abbey! This may seem odd, but I would like to see an underarm routine/product review one day! I’m in my early 30s and since having my second child it seems like the deodorant I was using and loving is not working for me anymore 😢 I’ve heard you mention a time or two about something you were trying out for your underarms and would be super interested to know what it is and if it is working for you! Sorry if that’s weird, but you’ve literally saved my hair and skin… so I trust you lol. Plz help.
I have used the Tatcha Essence. Mine had absolutely no fragrance. I found it highly moisturizing. However, it’s not worth the price! I won’t be repurchasing it. I received it as a gift.
Just some constructive criticism: could you please use less product when you do swatches? 7:29 is way too much concealer and it's not really helpful because if I was applying it on my face I would never put that much on in such a small surface area. Same with foundation & sunscreen/skincare swatches. Please consider using less product on the back of your hand and swatch it as if you were applying it on your face. I would never goop on that much concealer, foundation, sunscreen skincare, or haircare. I understand you're trying to show the product up close, but it isn't accurate in showing consistency or color when you use that much and other RUclipsrs I follow don't use that much when they do swatches. I hope that makes sense. Love your videos Abbey! Thanks for sharing what products didn't work for you. 😊
I have used 2 bottles of the Tatcha essence and neither had any smell I'm using one now and it has 0% smell which is why I like it besides that I do see a difference in my skin using it I wonder why yours has a smell or are there 2 different ones?
The MUFE HD foundation is my holy grail foundation formula and you and I have a very similar skin type. Honestly this foundation has been so polarizing because it seems to be such a crap shoot as far as who it will work for. The only issue for me is that there is no perfect shade match in this. I have slightly olive undertones but I can make the neutrals work. And so the struggle continues lol
I had the same experience with the CosRx gel cleanser. It was advertised as being gentle, but I found it to be a little too intense and man oh man that tea tree oil smell is strong.
Could you look into Pureology and if they changed their shampoo/conditioner? Last year it gave me a severe itchy scalp rash. I didn’t realize it was the issue until I recently opened a new bottle and after one use the same thing happened. I looked at reviews on Ulta and others are having the same issue
I also have been the biggest fan of the maybelline lash sensational for a loong time, I can't live without it. But, I am in Japan now and I ran out and they only have the normal one here not the waterproof and because of wearing masks I can't deal with normal mascara :'(((( Do you know a dupe for this mascara?
This is off topic but I thought I’d let you know that I got an email from Sephora today. They are having a great sale on Pureology 21 benefits detangling going spray. $32 bottle for $16 and I got free shipping. Great deal. Not sure how long it lasts☺️
Love empties videos! But please be sure to dispose of these products thoughtfully and not just put them in the bin. Either give to friends if suitable or recycle them somewhere (like Sephora). And please encourage others to do the same - otherwise it’s so much waste 🙏🏻
Yes! I thought I was the only one who didn’t like the make up forever foundation. It did nothing for me. It looked so bleh on my skin. I was so confused about the hype!
Hi Abbey, love your channel BTW !!! When you 'swatch' the foundations/BB/CC creams on the back of your hand, you swatch WAAAAAAY too much, I/we cannot judge it from the swatch. Maybe a couple of drops with you blending them in would be better, then that way I/we can see both the consistency and the matt/glow finish better? Just a thought! Thanks.
I think the word you were looking for about piling on products was "extra". You used to be very "extra". Hahah and I get it. I did that too before and now I'm like , I only want a few things in my hair.
In my experience, the shower filter definitely did not remove all the hard water minerals from building up on my hair. Especially here in northern CA our water is very hard. I have to do regular chelation treatments to keep my blonde beautiful. I use the Malibu C Hard Water Wellness packets every second week. I also use their Color Prepare packets as an additional chelation treatment before I get my hair highlighted, they’ve made an enormous difference on my color it’s just gorgeous now, no more brass. the Malibu C purple shampoo and conditioner are both fantastic, they chelate minerals while removing brassy tones. I do use other products but Malibu C is the basis of keeping the brass and dullness out of my blonde.
Just a lot of wasted make up… I feel like so many people on RUclips buy much for videos and then throw out. Why not donate to programs where it can be given to women in need.
I totally agree with you about packaging. You know you're getting charged for the cute yet inconvenient bottles, etc. Along the same lines, if a product has too much packaging, I'm over it. I haaaaate throwing away plastic 😢

Yes! I thought I was the only one who didn’t like the make up forever foundation. It did nothing for me. It looked so bleh on my skin. I was so confused about the hype!
I would be very happy if you sent me your leftovers. :) love your channel!
Why do I feel so panicky about the huge amount of product wasted in the hand swatches? 😅
Also you can return it if it didn’t work…
@@bka2810 No, not all stores accept returns on opened products.
Donate to a Domestic Violence shelter. Wow that is a lot of stuff.
u kinda look like donald trump lol love u tho
I totally agree with you about packaging. You know you're getting charged for the cute yet inconvenient bottles, etc. Along the same lines, if a product has too much packaging, I'm over it. I haaaaate throwing away plastic 😢
