I remember being terrified of the very concept of 'Clocktower' when I was little, seeing it boxed in computer stores and being like "Oh my god, SCARY video games?" And my Dad being like "Don't look at that, son." It was so excitingly ominous. Now I'm watching it and I'm like pfff. BUT! I'm gonna go thru this. It is one of the foundations of the horror genera and deserves a full watch-thru. It seems to have potential to be creepy.
I miss games like this I think they should make a horror in this style but with updated graphics. Btw do your best not to learn anything about CT3 until you play it.
Speaking of old horror movies...Watch Phenomena, it's directed by Dario Argento and is cited as being the direct inspiration for the original game Clock Tower.
Don't know if you know this but here's some tips There's 3 modes being Normal mode, Panic or Danger mode and Escape mode Normal mode is when no one is chasing you, you can also explore normally in this mode Panic/Danger Mode is when your character is in danger, you can tell this when your cursor is blinking red (supposedly but I think here the picture of your character face blinks red e.g. when you were pushing against scissorman in the kitchen) Escape mode is when you are being pursued (the music will change), you can't explore the house normally in this mode but can interact with objects and your environment to either try and escape or fight back your pursuer (e.g. throwing a vase at them).
GaB Oh I forgot but during Escape mode when you lose your pursuer the music will change again but your pursuer is still looking for you, during this you can hide in hiding spots and wait for your pursuer to pass by, when the music's gone you are back in normal mode and can come out.
worst ending?!? no, human ending!!! every time i watch horror movies with houses, mansions, boarding schools, orphanages (and so on...) i think: "just......run away from this place!" XD
I actually read somewhere that Haunting Ground originally started as Clock Tower 4, but ended up being a spin off. It may be just a rumor though, not sure if its true or not. Love that game to pieces anyways, it's number 2 on my favourite horror game list.
I'm amaze with all the animations this games had, Usually point an click games has only the basic animation, but you can push boxes and climb and even protect yourself from a weapon. Saddly this game never came out here. I would have like that.
GaB That's actually Clock Tower 2, it's only call Clock Tower in the US since the first game didn't came out outside Japan. Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within(Clock Tower Ghost Head in Japan) is a spin-off from the series.
I would LOOOVE to see you play the third one. I remember jumping out of my chair several times when I played this game because the bad guys would pop out of nowhere! Oh and you know, if a little man was running after me with a gigantic pair of sissors, I would be running automatically :D
GaB Oh well you and me both. I always feel uneasy when I'm walking by someone using those things, same when I walk by someone cutting stuff with a chainsaw or whatever. I even feel uneasy using sharp knives in the kitchen haha
Because we seen him leave the room to the right, we can assume that was not scissorman in the backseat and was just one of the other girls lifting the scissors off of them to get comfortable on their seats and say "easy it's just me (or us)!
That room is odd. If you go in there when Scissorman is chasing you, you don't need to push the box to climb over the cabinet. But you can't get the robe that way. You'd have to go back over, push the box, climb over again, then get the robe.
I hope capcom picks this game up and remasters it like resident evil 2 and when they remaster it they should put better graphics and make the game 3 person and take the original sound track but put some Instruments in it and give the option for players to have the original sound effects and get a voice actress who looks like the maid character
Are you gonna play the clock tower game on the ps1? I used to hide under a chair while I watched my older brother play it lol. Just subscribed. Love the channel keep it up!
Hmm don't know, played that one a couple of times already, and got all the endings, back in the day. Would you still like to see me play it even if I already know the story? :)

It certainly scared the shit outta me a couple of times!

Still don't know anything about it!! :)
"Ah, don't worry about 'em! I'll get them in the other endings." Love it!

StrafeWolf in the U.S it’s called creepers
Haunting Ground started as a Clocktower title, just FYI
Don't know if you know this but here's some tips

Normal mode is when no one is chasing you, you can also explore normally in this mode

Ahh thanks! I know nothing about this game so all tips are welcome. Also if I could've used an item somewhere and I didn't, let me know! :D
GaB Oh I forgot but during Escape mode when you lose your pursuer the music will change again but your pursuer is still looking for you, during this you can hide in hiding spots and wait for your pursuer to pass by, when the music's gone you are back in normal mode and can come out.
Nice, thanks!
"reminds me of haunting ground" fun fact: haunting ground was originally going to be Clock Tower 4.
lol the happy scissorman dance!
worst ending?!? no, human ending!!!
every time i watch horror movies with houses, mansions, boarding schools, orphanages (and so on...) i think: "just......run away from this place!" XD
Yeah and don't forget: Stay TOGETHER!! :P
alessio rau Worst ending maybe because Jennifer still died at last even though she choose the pathetic way of leaving her friends behind.
The effort put into this series really shows through. You're a good lets player.
I actually read somewhere that Haunting Ground originally started as Clock Tower 4, but ended up being a spin off. It may be just a rumor though, not sure if its true or not.

Yeah I really liked that game, and it makes sense, it would fit as a clock tower :)
Picks up car key. Gets in car. "The key isn't in the ignition." Facepalm.
I'm amaze with all the animations this games had, Usually point an click games has only the basic animation, but you can push boxes and climb and even protect yourself from a weapon. Saddly this game never came out here. I would have like that.
It did though, for the ps1?
GaB
I don't know,. I never played those games either. But for a SNES game, it is very impressive. I can't wait to see the next episode !
GaB That's actually Clock Tower 2, it's only call Clock Tower in the US since the first game didn't came out outside Japan. Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within(Clock Tower Ghost Head in Japan) is a spin-off from the series.
Oh! I didn't know that haha!
a horror game without music is my worst nightmare. cause we will never know when's the jumpscare pops out in front of our face
Just found your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos so far! Your voice is oddly soothing when watching survival horror games lol
I would LOOOVE to see you play the third one. I remember jumping out of my chair several times when I played this game because the bad guys would pop out of nowhere! Oh and you know, if a little man was running after me with a gigantic pair of sissors, I would be running automatically :D
Hahaha yeah, I'm automatically scared of hedge trimmers in the real world anyway..
GaB Oh well you and me both. I always feel uneasy when I'm walking by someone using those things, same when I walk by someone cutting stuff with a chainsaw or whatever. I even feel uneasy using sharp knives in the kitchen haha
Trisha Nobuhiro And yet we LOVE that stuff in video games (and movies, and books)... :P
GaB Yup. Well as long as it stays behind a screen, I have no problem with that :p
I kinda love that the game just lets you do the sensible thing. "Fuck this shit, I'm out."
You found _Rope_ in this episode! I'm not very far into the game myself, but I still don't know what it's used for, lol.
An antagonist with giant shears makes me think of a villain from a Dario Argento movie. Over the top but more fun because of it.
This game is based on that Dario Argento's movie, Phenomena.
Fantastic! No wonder the parallels seemed so strong! Thanks!
Dude that sarcasm.
That may very well be sarcasm, however, the dwarf is reminiscent of the movie. Was still nice hearing someone else say the same.
I'm in love with the Dario Argento's movies, Suspiria is one of my fave movies, did you watch it? GREAT FILM.
You're talking about Warwick Davis. He was also Prof. Flitwick from Harry Potter! Fantastic actor.
Clock Tower needs a remake
Because we seen him leave the room to the right, we can assume that was not scissorman in the backseat and was just one of the other girls lifting the scissors off of them to get comfortable on their seats and say "easy it's just me (or us)!
That's pretty funny you can just leave and escape in the car so early in the game, i wish more horror games had that option.
Love your videos and that ending. It's every man/woman for themselves!!
Thanks for watching!! :D
Ekkk! Scissor Man! Still better than Little Knive Girl XD
love all your videos thank you so much they are enjoyable and your commentary makes me feel less scared !!!about this
That room is odd. If you go in there when Scissorman is chasing you, you don't need to push the box to climb over the cabinet. But you can't get the robe that way. You'd have to go back over, push the box, climb over again, then get the robe.
haha retro logic :D
I hope capcom picks this game up and remasters it like resident evil 2 and when they remaster it they should put better graphics and make the game 3 person and take the original sound track but put some Instruments in it and give the option for players to have the original sound effects and get a voice actress who looks like the maid character
This game is based in Norway
this game is scary
They should not change the story just update everything to make the game more fun and scary
Okay.. I have to ask. Are you Danish by any chance? Your accent makes me wonder 😁 it's a cute accent though 😊
❤
loviebeest Please do! :D
Are you gonna play the clock tower game on the ps1? I used to hide under a chair while I watched my older brother play it lol. Just subscribed. Love the channel keep it up!
Woohoo THANK YOU! :D I want to play all the clock towers I think, yeah. :)

What you think is her energy is actually just how scared she is.
Ave you tried the ps1 version of this?
After this one, we're gonna have Haunting Ground right? :3
Hmm don't know, played that one a couple of times already, and got all the endings, back in the day. Would you still like to see me play it even if I already know the story? :)
GirlGamerGaB I know I would! Mostly because it's a game that makes people nervous and brings in hilarious reactions xDD
Thanks! I've gotten the request quite a few times now, so it's on the list!
wtf...what happened? where's the gore? why is the guy jumping around like stupid ninny?...wtf?....
