I love that Mike is included in this. Even though he's not main staff he feels as much a part of Giant Bomb in 2023 as anyone. Also, would love to see Tam and Lucy on more stuff.
You nailed it. Tam and Lucy are GameSpot and barely part time. I really thought Mike was considered staff surprised to hear he isn't. Especially with the Mike song gag being pulled from the well quite often.
I am the other way with Mike. While I would never fault him for being him, I just don't vibe with his energy most of the time. He annoys me more often than not.
Really excited for the rest of these, hope the in person finale goes well too! Great vibes and discussions all around.
Wow, it really has become an entirely new generation. I don't recognize anyone on here except Dan. Honestly, I'm just pleasantly surprised that they're still even doing the Giant Bomb GOTY deliberations and podcasts. I figured those would have gone away.
Having watched this all the way through now, this is all-time GOTY content. Tam is an absolute wrecking ball.
Lae'zel erasure
Worlds within worlds is so good in Cocoon. The last hour or so of puzzles in that game rock. If I put this world here in this world this thing will effect this and then hit this thing and that will reflect and go into another world in that world and solve this puzzle.
Tam is an absolute menace in the GOTY discussions and I'm here for it
I'm not he doesn't know anything and acts arrogant as if he does.

I really liked Serai in Sea of Stars. She was probably the most interesting character. Her reveal was great and the last IDK 5-7 hours of that game really hooked me and got me excited about finishing it.
I have a sad feeling Sea of Stars isn’t gonna make much of a splash this year which is a shame because I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a turn based rpg as much in an extremely long time

Yeah. Running around category is invalid due to its absence.
Super agree, and even more baffling when they talked up Thirsty Suitors' skating, which is awful and occurs in much more cumbersome, joyless maps.
Bounced off means you didn't like the game or something about it made you stop playing.
Fell off means you enjoyed what you played but just stopped playing it for whatever reason.
this is so chaotic
Crazy to have a category for the best character in one game. Just seems kinda weird for anyone who hasn't. Remind me of the best weapon category for Vampire Survivors which is just jibber jabber if you don't play that game.
Also how the heck did Dan play 40 Hours of Spider-Man 2 and not beat it. Even just doing the side quests shouldn't take that long. Also the Mary Jane missions are just better in this game. She is fun
Steven king being a bad writer is new to me. I thought a lot of people like his books and they sell very well.
Im all about Tam calling out Mario Wonder, I feel the exact same way.

what is going on with the audio levels and overall audio quality on Giant Bomb lately, it's insane how bad it is. They all have good microphones, it's been like this for weeks now. Dan's hot mic, sure we're used to that but Grubb sounds like he's recording with a tin can and he's also blown out all the time, what are they doing? :((
edit: other than that this was awesome, love the chemistry of those people, they really seem to have found a groove now!
