This was a very informative review. I learned some new points. I'm new to this stuff and just bought the 200max and one extra b230 battery. I haven't really tried it out yet because I want to learn more about it from watching reviews. As for the cable on the side I just turned it into a pretzel Loop so now it doesn't stick out on the side so much. I emailed a photo to the company and they said it's all right to twist the cable like that so it doesn't stick out. This is only for an emergency in an apartment so I don't use it all as a matter of fact I haven't really tried it out yet. When I first got it I tried to do the firmware upgrade. It didn't work at first and it bricked the unit. After about 15 tries it finally upgraded. As you said the world is going crazy and you never know what's around the corner next. I am a retired Carpenter, would have been nice if we had these in the old days compared to those noisy generators. Going to check out some of your other videos, cheers from Canada.

I agree that the cable provided to connect the two units is not optimal. The cable connecting the extra battery can be resolved easily. All the company has to do is create a new cable with flat 90% plugs on both ends of the cable and the length between the main unit and the expanded battery. That distance would be the same on all units. That "flat" cable connector could be an option. No major rework of any of the physical parts of the units.
Awesome review, really like the format and content of these videos. I recently purchased an AC200Max myself and am looking at getting the expansion batteries further down the line. I was wondering if you able to charge both the ac200max and B230 at the same time from two different AC power bricks whilst they are connected together or are you limited to the single 500w input if they are connected?
@@TKCL thanks for the reply man, appreciate you taking the time to respond 👍 I could disconnect the cable between the two but the background behind my question was that I'm in the UK and I'm using the ac200max as a home power system as the electricity tariff I'm on is cheaper during the night than the day. (Usually between 02:00 and 05:00, you can even be paid to use energy during the night) So the more input during the night the more energy I can store. First. Nice. I use the AC200P around the property to power my plug in tools. But I need to get a 12 or 10ga extension cord. I;ve been using a 16 and it's limiting my power. Edit: Not first :( For long term review I'd like to hear if they finally enabled it to automatically turn back on when solar power returns if it died overnight. It's the problem I have with my AC200P and why I use it as a tool device and not to run my shed, because it won't automatically restore function.
Sadly a lot of power stations lack that feature. On smaller devices I understand, on larger models that pitch home backup or off grid power I EXPECT that feature as you do. It sounds like a simple software update to me, but who knows.
andrew. AC200MAX can work with 2 x B300 batteries. Those are 3072 watts each. But IMPORTANTLY understand each B300 has two Solar input ports. One port accepts 500w solar from Bluetti D050S device. The other port can accept 200w Solar Direct via XT60 connector. I actually have 3 x newpowa 220w panels feeding one D050s attached to one of my B300. Heres what can be done with one AC200MAX with two B300 batteries + 2 D050S. 900w + 500w + 200w + 500w + 200w THATs 2300w SOLAR accepted The two B300 gives you over 6000 watts battery storage themselves.
do you think i could power those 12v/24v mini splits for truck cabins or vans? if yes, should i use the rv plug or regular 110 with step down inverter?
Have you ever traveled with this unit. I have it stacked on top of a b230 battery in my enclosed trailer. Wondering if it would be okay to leave it in there while towing the trailer.
@@TKCL there great little units it even powered my all in one 110v washer dryer for one cycle. The dryer part is what depleted the battery. With solar maxed out by also adding a charge enhancer through the ac port and a good sunny day, It can handle it, and still power in through a night.
Yes, but you will want a larger system that can hook two together for split phase 240v power. This will run things like a dryer, 240 volt well pump, central AC and more.
Were you able to make a duration power test on battery only for the AC200MAX with a power of approx 200W for example (should be 10 hour discharge of the unit)? How many hours did you get before reaching the end at approx 15% for example ? One month after purchase of my AC200MAX, I get only 5 hours at 200W (from 100% full to the stop at 15%). This means my battery has 1000Wh ready available plus reserve of 300Wh ?? 1300 instead of 2048 ?? One month after purchase I am down at approx 2/3 of my battery capacity or ??
@@TKCL I looked at other tests, but found only HOBOTECH: he came at 1.6KWH at approx 200W discharge. So 80% of the theoretical value which is reasonable. Would you be willing , to test the bare unit on pure discharge and tell me what you get at 200W ? Anything from 7, 8 or 9h would be great I think. Stop certainly at 15%

The average lithium iron phosphate cycle claim is usually 3500 cycles and still have 80% capacity remaining. Some say as high as 6500 cycles before full degradation. Long story short, you should technically be able to charge these everyday for the 10 year life expectancy of lithium batteries.
Bluetti has been a huge disappointment to me personally. I bought a AC200 MAX, and straight from the box, it won't charge using the AC adapter. I called the company and told them my issue and was told I needed a new charger and they would send a new one. I never got it. My entire summer travel schedule has been put on hold due to Bluetti's incompetence. I'm returning my unit to the seller. I'm done with Bluetti, and Jackery has gained a new customer!
Very sorry to hear that, customer service sure seems to be lacking with a lot of companies nowadays. You should have been taken care of for something that cost that much money.
Well I'm thinking about getting a 2000 watt generator or something right around that area but not less than 2000 watts but I'm only going to get the ones with battery packs the ones without battery packs is not worth much to me and there are only so many different types of solar generators that offers battery packs with their generators I'm hoping in a month's time I can order one or another generator that way.
@@TKCL yes but there's only a few different types of solar generators that offer batteries and I'm looking into or some of them to see which ones better for me or for my daughter.
Here is the other one in that range with battery add on capability. The Bluetti and Ecoflow are both very comparable as far as specs go. A few differences either direction. The other models I've tested don't have add on battery capabilities. ruclips.net/video/OdjjQN5_VBc/видео.html
@@TKCL Thank you so much so I need to plug a 50 amp into the 30 amp adapter then it is plugged into the 120 outlet. Correct? I’m old so just wanted to make it clear to my old brain. Man I sure wish I had your knowledge! Where do you and your family live.
You'll need a TT30P plug to l14-30. Then get a l14-30 plug to the 50 amp RV plug. All this is sold on Amazon. Keep in mind that this setup won't provide but about 1/3 the power your camper needs with everything on. You won't be running two AC units or heavy draw appliances at the same time. Is this for backup or are you trying to run long term with this?
@@TKCL so what you’re saying is it will not run everything all the time, but it could run certain things without a whole bunch of things being turned on lol
Brother A lot of these Bluetti 200max gens have reversed polarity in the 30amp plug. Can you show a fix on here? Mine is one that was shipped with the 30amp having reversed polarity. There was an electrical engineer on youtube that showed how to fix it step by step and then a couple months later the video was removed before I could take my bluetti apart to fix it. Bluetti did admit like a year later that it was reversed and that it wasnt really a issue and even some Engineers said it was fine but others said not so much. Bluetti said you could send it in at no cost and they would fix it, but it may take months to get your generator back. They said opening the case would not void the warranty when fixing this. They said you could have an electeician fix it for you if you want. I was wondering if you still had it could you make a video showing a fix.
That's the first I have heard of this, in theory AC swaps polarity 60 times a second so you won't notice this. But in order to swap over, there is most likely a wire that feeds all neutral plugs off of the inverter that would need to be swapped over to the hot feed for the plugs. I can't say how this would be accomplished without tearing a unit open and seeing the wiring.
@TKCL ruclips.net/video/mnIvgghMshY/видео.htmlsi=V3nOWKWgXnMYCnss This is the guy that showed the bluetti that had reversed polarity. He shows here the Ecoflow delta is also reversed on a lot of units.
If they would ever fix the customer service issue that they are known for it would be a great choice. Hard to spend that amount on something that you are not certain will be fixed if you run into an issue. Just try calling their phone number. That being said I did buy their small EB3A and it is a great unit with great build quality. Solid products, poor customer service.
Doesn't surprise me, when these companies have a promotion going on they do offer our units to comparable channels. I try to test real world and in different ways. I see many just talk about the specs and do very little testing.

Yes you can, I've shown this with other models. Problem is you will be in UPS mode that only allows around 1800 watts of pass through. It does not give you full ability like adding a battery. I'll post a video showing this process in just a minute.
You can't back feed arc fault breakers and I put in a generator plug because it is designed for back feeding and allows me to test all kinds of power stations or generators.
I had one, this machine is a joke. It wouldn’t lower my 500 watt ac without failing. The cables started to fray after one week, and the screen (touch broke) lastly the device caught fire! Avoid this, he’s a paid shill for Company.
So glad you know my character and who I am just because I reviewed a product. Sounds like you had something defective from the start. House projects are over for now, solar has been getting views. I'm just trying to keep fresh content coming. I wish I was getting paid like people think. It's views that's my paycheck.
I hear you Jason, but this isn't paid. Yes I get to keep the equipment, but no cash at the end of the day. However these videos do bring in far more views and subs than the day to day videos and that does equal money. People forget this is my income, it's a business and I have to make wise business decisions. I am 100 percent still working on projects in the background. These videos are something I'm passionate about and allow me to release content while I'm working on other projects.
It's actually the exact opposite, I'm tempted to make a video to inform people. Reviews and large DIY videos are what's paying the bills. Day total day videos are bringing in practically no money. I hear you, but at the end of the day this is a business and my income. I make money or I go back to a 9-5 with no social media. It's a tougher decision than people are giving it credit for.
So Mike a serious question... Why watch it when the title and thumbnail clearly showed what the video was about? I've never understood the need to watch and comment on a video that clearly shows what it's about, but your not interested in. You could wait for the next video that shows something your interested in.
@@TKCL I always have hope it’s just a minute or so. I don’t watch the entire video when I see what it is. If that’s what your channel direction is moving too I’m fine with moving on. You know what’s best for your channel but I’m not going to spend my time watching the Home shopping network.

The other port can accept 200w Solar Direct via XT60 connector. I actually have 3 x newpowa 220w panels feeding one D050s attached to one of my B300.
Heres what can be done with one AC200MAX with two B300 batteries + 2 D050S.
900w + 500w + 200w + 500w + 200w
THATs 2300w SOLAR accepted
The two B300 gives you over 6000 watts battery storage themselves.
That's great to know, wish the b200 would have the xt60 connector.
Awesome! I really would spend the money for an extra battery. I think it would be beneficial.
It is as that's what limits these for true backup power.
do you think i could power those 12v/24v mini splits for truck cabins or vans? if yes, should i use the rv plug or regular 110 with step down inverter?
That I can't say, I've never tested one of those mini splits
Have you ever traveled with this unit. I have it stacked on top of a b230 battery in my enclosed trailer. Wondering if it would be okay to leave it in there while towing the trailer.
I have not, just been testing it at my house and shop.
@@TKCL there great little units it even powered my all in one 110v washer dryer for one cycle. The dryer part is what depleted the battery. With solar maxed out by also adding a charge enhancer through the ac port and a good sunny day, It can handle it, and still power in through a night.
I love my ecoflow delta 2
Very versatile portable power... 🙂
Looks great! How many HP tractor do you need to run the chipper? What kind of lumber are you using for the beds?
They claim as little as 25 hp. I used a salt treated 2x10.
Also battery chemistry is different, charging time is much better than others and it cycle number is many times others
I agree and that's something I'm going to start paying more attention to.
What if I wanted to do a continuous solar generator to a mobile home…. Is that possible for a off grid system
Yes, but you will want a larger system that can hook two together for split phase 240v power. This will run things like a dryer, 240 volt well pump, central AC and more.
@@TKCL ok thank you 😊
Were you able to make a duration power test on battery only for the AC200MAX with a power of approx 200W for example (should be 10 hour discharge of the unit)? How many hours did you get before reaching the end at approx 15% for example ? One month after purchase of my AC200MAX, I get only 5 hours at 200W (from 100% full to the stop at 15%). This means my battery has 1000Wh ready available plus reserve of 300Wh ?? 1300 instead of 2048 ?? One month after purchase I am down at approx 2/3 of my battery capacity or ??
I have not tested that, but now you have me wondering.

Another great video Andrew. How many cycle charges can these units do? Just curious thank you.
The average lithium iron phosphate cycle claim is usually 3500 cycles and still have 80% capacity remaining. Some say as high as 6500 cycles before full degradation. Long story short, you should technically be able to charge these everyday for the 10 year life expectancy of lithium batteries.
Maybe someday but for now my Jackery does pretty good.
I know something like this would be perfect for your van situation. I hope you get one!
Run the welder with it?
I didn't this time, but will with further tests. I do believe it will run my small stick welder, it will be close.
I agree ones in this power range should offer battery expandability.
@@TKCL yes but there's only a few different types of solar generators that offer batteries and I'm looking into or some of them to see which ones better for me or for my daughter.
I've tested a few on the channel.
@@TKCL what are they and which ones are the best and thank you.
Here is the other one in that range with battery add on capability. The Bluetti and Ecoflow are both very comparable as far as specs go. A few differences either direction. The other models I've tested don't have add on battery capabilities. ruclips.net/video/OdjjQN5_VBc/видео.html
Will this Bluetti work with a 50 amp Fifth wheel?
You'd need an adapter to convert the 30 amp to 50 amp. This will not provide full power to an RV that size.
@@TKCL Thank you so much so I need to plug a 50 amp into the 30 amp adapter then it is plugged into the 120 outlet. Correct? I’m old so just wanted to make it clear to my old brain. Man I sure wish I had your knowledge! Where do you and your family live.
My property is in Arizona and someday I hope to live there!
Got me charged up!! 🙂
There we go!
@TKCL ruclips.net/video/mnIvgghMshY/видео.htmlsi=V3nOWKWgXnMYCnss
This is the guy that showed the bluetti that had reversed polarity.
I've only ever reviewed the eb70 so much experience with customer service. Appreciate the feedback!
Sorry Andrew but I think I just saw this review on the out of the woods channel or some other channel I don't know but I've seen this link up?
Doesn't surprise me, when these companies have a promotion going on they do offer our units to comparable channels. I try to test real world and in different ways. I see many just talk about the specs and do very little testing.
I know this was recorded 8 months ago. But I found something on RUclips today. But I can't find it now your promo code if you can resend it
Those promo codes are usually only available for a short time. Here's all my links. Check them out for the best price.

Weird thought…can you hook up one ac200 max to another? The max is only 300 bucks more than the battery!
Yes you can, I've shown this with other models. Problem is you will be in UPS mode that only allows around 1800 watts of pass through. It does not give you full ability like adding a battery. I'll post a video showing this process in just a minute.

A 20amp house plug is rated for 2400 watts 200 more then this unit provides so why go thru all the hassle of all of the adapters
Your house plug isn’t portable.
You can't back feed arc fault breakers and I put in a generator plug because it is designed for back feeding and allows me to test all kinds of power stations or generators.
I know where I'm heading if there's a zombie apocalypse! You have everything people need to survive all sorts of catastrophes.

Damn you beat me because I wrote more sentences, lol.

@@SetitesTechAdventures @TKCL ... Good one LOL 🙂

I had one, this machine is a joke. It wouldn’t lower my 500 watt ac without failing. The cables started to fray after one week, and the screen (touch broke) lastly the device caught fire! Avoid this, he’s a paid shill for
Company.
So glad you know my character and who I am just because I reviewed a product. Sounds like you had something defective from the start. I've got tiny hand held power stations that will run my window AC unit, tested many times on the channel. This ran my 1800 watt microwave. And FYI they didn't pay me a dime, go spew your negativity somewhere else.
@@TKCL you do realize that sponsorships are listed on their SEC filings. And your name and channel on the LLC are right their. They donated the unit to you, you didn’t get a dime, but you were shipped the product for free to keep under condition that you give good praise and essentially advertise it aka sponsored. That’s a paid shill.
There is NO requirement to leave a positive review, I even stated some things I did not like. I am very aware of the requirements, thus the reason the disclaimer pops up at the beginning of the video. Just because you had a bad experience does not give you the right to come judge me. You got a problem with the product or company, take it up with them.
@@TKCL liar. I just called them, they said you are sponsored, I asked the stipulations as required by SEC laws, they said in order to keep product they must review the video review first before you release it, if it isn’t good they will ask you sent item back. Liar. Shill.
Bought & paid for. It's now a sales channel. Such a shame. When they were building their house it wasnt that way.
House projects are over for now, solar has been getting views. I'm just trying to keep fresh content coming. I wish I was getting paid like people think. It's views that's my paycheck.
@@TKCL100 % agree Andrew , never thought for one sec you were a sellout . Great review as always .
Man I sure wished you would go back to making videos instead of doing all these paid promos !!!😢😢😢
A 20amp house plug is rated for 2400 watts 200 more then this unit provides so why go thru all the hassle of all of the adapters
Sorry, sold out for money
Sorry you feel that way, not getting paid for these reviews. Just making content on a popular subject.
Please get back to homesteading themes. Doing infomercials will result in lost subs.
I found it very informative!! What's wrong with making a buck? 🙂
@@RobertKohut not my cup of tea. Iv seen this similar review on several channels. I’m out
So Mike a serious question...
