I just lifted my head to the ceiling and screamed OH MY GOD. That is the sexiest man in the world. His music. Every. single. song. brilliant and beautiful....
For those of you who don't speak Spanish, what the comment above says is: "the song is not his. It's from BOY, from Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass". That's true, Lo-Fang changed the lyrics and added more instrumental. Still, he plays and sings beautifully.
+Lily Potter and +JustDreamingLife This is the response from Lo-Fang when asked about the meaning of the song. "Boris is a song from a German band, consisting of two girls, called Boy. I was playing at this hotel in Berlin and they were there too. The song is very creepy. It’s about the possibility of an affair. I wanted to darken it slightly and make it my own. They were seeing it from a girl’s perspective and I thought that by seeing it from the man’s perspective that it evokes this really confusing morality. There is something really sexy about the song, but also something very disgusting about it. It’s in the beholder’s eye." So its meaning is really your own interpretation of it. I got curious while reading your comments so I looked it up.
the song is clearly about sexual harrasment. "you owe me your lips" "don't be such a diva you can't just leave now" he even changed the song so he says "i could give you codeine" --- codeine is a painkiller that is used as a date rape drug if he thinks that "giving" someone codeine is sexy hes pretty fucked up i personally wouldn't call boys version of the song sexy but ok, different interpretation (even though as i said it seems to me that it is obviously about sexual harrasment) but since he sings about codeine the song is super creepy (if this reads as rude i'm sorery. its hard not to sound rude on the internet when you're being serious. not trying to bbe rude :) )
BOY stated that this song was about the sexual harassment they had to put up with in the music industry. Primarily based on a real experience they had when singing at a party.
Okay but this. This here is a very sexy song indeed. His voice, the lyrics too, the instrumental. Lo fang has such a deep yet smooth voice that kinda gives us these little good creeps. I'm only sad with the "I know your boyfriend's out of town" because it's clearly about the woman cheating on her boyfriend with him. Yet, ladies, yet. I can easily imagine this in some writing, use it as a plot. You're a musician, you play at this handsome and charming men's house and you still have business with him, your boyfriend is a huge asshole or something like that and you start to get involved with the charming guy in a very hot and sexy relationship, which sends your self-confidence to the sky and makes you feel sexy and strong (nothing like when with your boyfriend). I would definitely read something like that.
Here's the thing; This is a cover, the song was originally written by women. Namely, the German duo "Boy". And specifically, about a boss one of them used to have (the titular "Boris") who was sexually harassing her. The "You should get out of town too" line is the response by the woman to the inappropriate advances.
3 years and not a single comment, this song is worth way more than that, let’s see if this comment can’t kickstart the algorithm.
