From what I can tell from the first two episodes, the reason Usato's training is so harsh is because he's not just expected to rescue people on the battlefield. He's expected to fight whatever the hell just took out the people he's rescuing.

Imo his training is hard because healers are high priority targets so they need to be able to defend themselves
The way he stands before the enemy at 0:49 always gets me. Like he knows he doesn’t have any powers except healing, but he still stands in front of his foe 💪🏼

This opening is so good. The rock part really matches with the chaotic side of anime. Great anime and a little bit unique among isekai too. really enjoyed it. What a beautiful way to end the season also with a cliffhanger and cant wait for 2nd season. i will miss Usato, Inukami, Kazuki and Rose so much
