- Graffiti & Eggs has been reborn for a 2nd installment! Today we #travel to Central Station in #amsterdam for a FREE!! Ferry ride to a hidden gem in the city, NDSM! This is an area of the city that is a bit forgotten by the crowds and I loved feeling all alone and free to #vlog at will! It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! Some amazing street art covers the area, and Brunch at Carrol's was a fantastic experience as well! So put on your warm clothes on, the ferry ride across is freezing! See you there!
Please share, like, subscribe and comment if you enjoyed this video. It would be most appreciated and I always respond!

Probably the biggest city with free ferry passage. Excellent work Amsterdam
I have no comparison as far as ferry service goes so I’ll take your word for it!
Loved all the graffiti. You are right some of it was a work of art. I really liked the bear and the little boy wonderful work. Food looked great. You know me strawberries and chocolate work for me. Keep on Travelling.
I knew you would like that little sandwich!
Thats a must visit for the next trip. Great vlog and thank you for sharing.
Perfect way to spend a half day and the ferry is free over!

Thank you so much for the support❤️
Very unique spot and right outside the city
I plan a return visit before long!
The harbor warehouse is part of the former shipyard and is unmistakably a landmark within this monumental industrial area. The Foundation “Kinetisch Noord” (SKN) manages the building. Art City, a cultural and artistic breeding ground with circa 80 workspaces, covers around one third of the building’s immense surface. The other parts of the warehouse are rented out for film- and photoshoots, music shows and theatre performances, exhibitions, auctions, company and dance parties, markets, conferences and so forth.
Thank you for the history of the building! That’s so cool and I highly enjoyed my time at NDSM!
@@getawaywithj In 2004 we were one of the pioneer studios that moved there. That was just after the founding of SKN. Back then there was a big Russian submarine moored just off the ferry landing to greet you when you came in.
@@urbandiscount Thank you for the backstory! The submarine would have been a sight to see.
The bay views were great and the ferry ride to NDSM and then
with all the terrificgraffitii. That first cafe was a bit weird, maybe a language problem, maybe no ,anyway the next cafe where the food was really nice, Then nice graffiti winding back to the bay, with hice views of that bay. Nice touch with the gulls over the bay.
I thought the gills were amazing. Magpies everywhere in Amsterdam!
Should have gone to Noorderlicht or IJ-Kantine
I will look those up on my next visit! Amsterdam and I aren’t even close to being finished❤️
I've met a few Dutch people who speak better English than me, and I'm English lol! They are a bit strange at first - but very nice people if you learn to accept their bluntness which seems a bit rude sometimes. It's just a cultural difference, but I'm sure it must be strange to North Americans who are used to very good service almost everywhere.
We are spoiled in the USA I have learned that on these trips abroad.
“Moet je zeiken? Vooraf 50 cent aanrijken” (spelled correctly: aanreiken) roughly translates as “Need to pee? Pay 0,5€ in advance”
Thank you for the translation! Not what I was expecting it to say 😂
@@getawaywithj Probably because most non-Dutchies do not know the plastic cabins behind the fencing are portable chemical toilets, mainly used by construction workers during large-scale projects and at festivals and events.
@@0blomovist Non Dutchies!
that NDSM spot...I do not paint there a lot. The street art museum attracts a lot of tourists that come to take pics of the painters as if they're in a zoo or some shit. Really annoying.
You passed some kinda crane...that has a hotel in it. The outside of that place is nice to paint I admit; not many people in your face.
That’s wild I not the type to be all up in the artists business. I like to enjoy the finished product. The crane hotel sounds dope I will have to check that out on my next stop this fall.
@@getawaywithj if you need any tips or if I'm painting someplace and you wanna get that for the channel, holler.
@@zeikerd I’m gonna take you up on that when I’m town!
