It's so funny reading the reactions from people about how Beyoncé interviews.
So many people think that she's trying to be perfect, but I actually think that she doesn't want to reveal too much about her life, in interviews at least.

I think for any parent, one of the hardest things is letting go of your children when they get to the point where they can take care of themselves and they no longer need you to take on that responsibility anymore.
She's not trying to be perfect and she has an extended vocabulary she is simply very private and when she interviews she making sure she speaks carefully so she doesn't say too much and to make sure she doesn't offend anyone

Beyoncé becoming her own manager she said she felt stronger and braver that’s what you called growth. Matthew been managing her since she was little which made it even harder. She had to let go because she felt like she was losing her father. Matthew didn’t know how to separate being her manager and her father. In her doc Beyoncé talks about how she needed her dad back she needed a break from him being her manager.
I think for any parents, one of the hardest things is letting your kids go. It’s a tough pill to swallow accepting the fact that one day, your child will get to the point where they can care for themselves and they no longer need that safety net that comes from a parents’ love anymore. But it’s something I think, all parents must comes into terms with that reality and have enough trust with their children and themselves knowing you raised them right and finally let go of them so they can cement their own path and legacy.

I really don't understand everyone's problem with the way Bey talks. Maybe its because I have family from the south, but to me she just sounds like shes trying to a) think about what she wants to say, and how to say it & b) mask her southern/country accent. I notice my aunts do they same thing sometimes depending on the company, and they all have college degrees. Shes also very shy & knows that her every word will be picked apart by the media so shes careful about what she says.

You, as many Americans, put importance on the wrong thing. Louis Armstrong is a pretty good speaker, but his whole career was a lie. People always try to put all this energy on how they talk, how they walk, how they dress, but what really matters is what you can back it up with. Beyonce career is not a lie, because she has the talent to back it up. She is passionate, focused, and visionary. She will have continued success because of those three things, not because the way she speaks!!!!!

I see her constantly searching for the words she is trying to express, but she may have some kind of split energy about how she feels about her father. She might have mixed emotions about him and does not want to say too much. She also looks nervous throughout this interview.

Bey is seen as perfect by most. She has the body, the family, the music business respect, the money, all while being a nice and humble person. So this little imperfection just keeps her human. You can't make it to her level of success¬ be at least somewhat intelligent. She was definitely being smart by choosing her words carefully&yet trying to give an honest reply. It's not always easy to put into words how one feels.

Beyonce takes so much time to look for words and speaks in such general terms that at times she comes off as vapid.
She takes a long time because she's figuring out how to word things in a way that won't be taken out of context or cause controversy. She's not dumb she just knows that the media will criticize her if she says anything that could be taken the wrong way.

It's hard to put your Expression and Emotions into words. Oprah is putting her whole life out there and some things are too personal to share. The thing I admire about Beyonce is she shows us you don't have to be perfect. She an extremely talented singer, dancer and writer. But she does not do well in interviews or speaking publicly. That is ok because she does not let that stop her from living out her dreams.

Whatever her reason's I'll respect her decision.........for in most cases Family/Friendship and Business do not mix, at some point in time some you find your Friendship, or Family member's gas begun to change (and it could of your own doing unintentionally,intentionally, whoever or whatever the cause) what was once the best of times have done an 180 or an 360 degree change. destroy (tear it asunder) a relationship. It will require God or your Higher Power to repair,and heal those affected.
I wouldn't say Matthew Knowles unfairly fired the other girls in DC. All the girls signed a contract w. Matthew and them wanting to fire him without consulting B and Kelly prob. violated a term in the contract. PLUS Matthew sacrificed his job and even his good marriage to make DC stars--he put everything into that group. so I think it was his responsibility to keep everything going and he did.

I feel like she tried to tell us the drama between her dad ended on a positive note when we all know it really didn't end well at all. I feel like if he didn't "steal" from her or had an affair he would still be her manager today because come on how can you not know all the dirty stuff that went on before that situation and still have him as your manager all of this time. She should've dropped him ages ago but she knew she couldn't be who she was without him.

She is inarticulate. Articulation refers to there being an easy flowing pattern to a person's speech. She's very nervous and shy when it comes to speaking and it shows. The stuttering, the awkward pauses, the "um, um" she uses as placeholders. All those things make her speech pattern cumbersome to the ear. It's not that she's dumb, it's just there's an art to speaking with fluidity that she has yet to master.

People are saying Beyoncé shouldn’t have fired her dad and he is a genius and amazing at business. First of all, this so called genius is a horrible man. A genius would definitely be grateful for two amazing and successful daughters. He wasn’t. Secondly, Beyoncé supported her mum in this case and seeing the man who hurt her dear mother soo much wasn’t good for her. She felt the need to stay away from that person. That ‘genius’ thought he could cheat on his wife, get away with it and still not lose his job.

Beyonce is a talented PERFORMER, but as the other comments here state, she is not very articulate, which is symptomatic of a lack of formal education, which she didn't have because she spent her formative childhood and teenage years training to be a singer and dancer. What most people don't know is that she earned her G.E.D. AFTER her daughter was born. I'm not judging or hating on her, but that would just explain her lack of articulation in not only this interview, but so many others.
