    Words from Dale Johnson:
"In the equestrian world, a 'lead change' refers to which set of legs, left or right, leads or advances forward to a greater extent. Byway of leg cues, the rider has the ability to direct the horse on which lead to choose... Just as the rider has the ability to direct the horse to lead change, we can do the same in life when it comes to matters of representation, intersectionality, and overall narrative... Everyday each and everyone of us has an opportunity to change the paradigm by living and sharing our unique stories. Whether it be in sports, science, business, or culture, a variety of perspectives and diverse representation matters."

I wanted to tell an impactful story using the Sony FX6 and connected with Dale on instagram. Dale was kind enough to allow me into his world and create this short documentary we hope inspires many.

My goodness! What a fantastic documentary Michael! Dale was so enigmatic with his storytelling. Loved every bit. I came for the FX6. Its a camera i would love to own one day. But the story blew me away. Thank you for sharing this inspiration.

The very best part about this was that this had nothing to do with the fx6 and everything to do with the story. This could have been shot on a Red, Arri, Blackmagic even but the kit didn't take you away from the story, well done and well done Dale, who shared a really great story with us.

Hey Michael, that is the best piece of work I've seen come off the Sony FX6, and I say this as an owner. Of course, it's a great story and you've told it beautifully, with the themes of inclusiveness and old and new, hi-fi and lo-fi culture. Some technical questions: what lenses did you shoot on? How did you go about the colour grade and with what LUT? The exposure is perfect in every scene, especially balancing bright skies against skintones. Again, excellent work. Michael

Love this film, man! I keep coming back to it to refresh myself on the capabilities of the FX6 and kit lens.
By any chance, did you use any other lenses for the interview portion? For example, what lens was used for the wide establishing shot where Dale is seated?
If it was still the kit lens, did you film the same interview multiple times (it doesn't seem that way!) Or, did you have another FX6 as a b-cam (or another camera?) Thanks again! Subbed the first moment I saw this video awhile back.

Awesome documentary! Did you shoot this in 4k and downscale to 1080?
