Excellent examples, the eisegetical interpretation of Daniel the 12th chapter was also the 'hook that was put in my jaws' that caused me to be an unwitting and loyal dupe of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Exegetical reasoning on all the failed promises and actual wrong doings that I became aware of after becoming an Elder finally gave me enough of a goad to finally break free. Well done Eric.

Oh my goodness absolutely magnificent! When I finally learned to study the Bible exegetically from your videos Eric it was a time of happiness and joy. Going back when I was JW it seemed nothing made sense but because of certain pressures from my so called friends I just let it go. I was always reminded that there is no better place than our organization of the JW. Where would you go? You would be lost and we all have the same motives about the preaching work. It was always the same speech. I was compelled to listen and do what was expected. How can anyone find joy in this messed up organization? So after I left and explained why to my friends, it didn’t go well. They all left me and at that time it was a challenge to me it was a torture stake. I had no one to talk things through UNTIL I found Beroean Pickets and Eric showing how to study the Bible the proper and logical way and not come to our own conclusions. You really have be in a situation like I was to fully feel the impact on being left out in the cold and then someone comes along and guides you. This is joy, this is happiness. It’s been 2 years since I left and I never looked back. Every so often I get an email about their meetings arrangement and if I would like to attend. I never respond. These videos are so important and Eric you are doing a fabulous service to everyone who wants to listen. Thank you so much. ♥️♥️👍👍💯💯one more thing please dear brothers and sisters buy the book “Shutting The Door to the Kingdom of God” written by our dear brother Eric Wilson. It is so easy to understand and the experience is amazing. In my humble opinion it is freedom from lies and love of truth. 💯

I am amazed by your experience. Nothing made sense?? Then I’m curious why you ever agreed to be baptised as a Jehovah’s Witness ?
You sat through many months /years with a Bible teacher but learnt hardly anything? ?
Did you do any personal study at all or were you unfortunately like some who just ‘underlined the answers’ and didn’t think any more about what you were reading?
      Something very wrong here!
Jehovah’s witnesses have marvellous Bible study Aids that are NOT all their own ‘interpretation’ like he said but based on historical facts that many other Bible scholars of other religions basically agree with
I always understood it was my personal responsibility to grow in knowledge of the scriptures.
I’d spent 10 years in Pentecostal churches and learnt nothing except emotionalism and extremely superficial ‘knowledge’
I went to various pastors asking them questions about their beliefs that none of them could answer but just fobbed me off
I learnt more about the critical basic Bible doctrines from Jehovah’s witnesses in weeks than all the 10 wasted years in the churches
After all, they pray the Lord’s Prayer but have no idea of the meaning of any part of it! !
My experience was just the opposite of yours and most of my friends in 6 congregations are the same especially those that started Bible study a few decades ago
If your experience was very recent it is more understandable as fewer and fewer people read , are inclined to study or to ‘think’ and I have noticed that many under the age of about 45 are more inclined to be entertained than to acquire knowledge
We were ALWAYS taught to read and understand in context, looking at the historical and cultural context as well.
This man was NOT honest when he insinuated that Jehovah’s witnesses don’t teach this
He knows FULL WELL this is not true as he was with Jehovah’s witnesses decades ago
I was constantly amazed at the wonderful scriptural truths I was learning
I’m sorry there was something very wrong with your entire experience but you could have easily taken the initiative yourself to understand what you were taught.
Remember that ALL human beings are imperfect including this man , he certainly does not know it all especially after he’s become embittered and really wants to believe anything other than what he previously believed
He may be right about some things but wrong about others .
I am personally going to study these texts he quoted again and come to my own conclusion as I have an open mind
I know Jehovah’s witnesses are certainly not perfect ( no one is) but I have never found any better alternative.
They are mostly all genuine sincere people who want to serve God and do His will

I would deeply appreciate it if you could do a video on Homoian belief, as I believe your own belief is very much similar to it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. This was also the dominant belief in the 4th century, before the Council of Constantinople in 380 AD and trinity or Homoousios was pushed onto us. Thank you in advance!

"About it Daniel the prophet says: " During that time Mi′cha·el will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time... Then one said to the man clothed in linen, who was up above the waters of the stream: “How long will it be to the end of these marvelous things?” Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was up above the waters of the stream, as he raised his right hand and his left hand to the heavens and swore by the One who is alive forever: “It will be for an appointed time, appointed times, and half a time. As soon as the dashing to pieces of the power of the holy people comes to an end, all these things will come to their finish.” " (Daniel 12: 1,6,7) Are you confused? You're not alone. " Now as for me, I heard, but I could not understand; so I said: “O my lord, what will be the outcome of these things?” Then he said... And from the time that the constant feature has been removed and the disgusting thing that causes desolation has been put in place, there will be 1,290 days. " (Daniel 12: 8,9, 11) According to Revelation 12: 6,14 three and a half times last 1,260 days, and according to critics these days should be placed in the time of the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes. Although the time was distressing for Israel and though Antiochus did indeed set abomination of desolation, it was not the most unfortunate time in their history, neither these events can fit in Daniel's prophetic period! Unlike the critics, the Bible provides a good timeframe. God's Word teaches us, as well as everyday life, that there are too many abominations and desolations, so we have no reason to believe that Antiochus Epiphanes had the exclusive right to set up dangerous abomination! Let us remember that the leader of Daniel 9:26 is in fact General Titus, and the people that destroys the holy city is the Roman army [7]. This is important because the next verse calls this army (Roman, not Seleucid) abominations and their leader is the one causing desolation. Confirmation that more than two centuries after the death of Antioch abomination of desolation was raised again, is provided by Christ's statement: " When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place..." (Matthew 24:15 KJV) Josephus, an eyewitness to the destruction of Jerusalem, wrote: " Now the number of those that were carried captive during this whole war was collected to be ninety-seven thousand; as was the number of those that perished during the whole siege eleven hundred thousand... Now this vast multitude is indeed collected out of remote places, but the entire nation was now shut up by fate as in prison, and the Roman army encompassed the city when it was crowded with inhabitants. Accordingly, the multitude of those that therein perished exceeded all the destructions that either men or God ever brought upon the world... "(Wars of the Jews - Book VI, Chapter 9) Does not this statement remind us of the words which the angel Gabriel uttered six centuries earlier: " And there will occur a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation ... (Daniel 12: 1) The fact that a period of 1260 days can be incorporated into the time of the revolt against the Roman occupation, and not during the reign of Antiochus IV, makes the assumption of the critics even less probable. Here's how! After examining Daniel's 70 weeks we found out that constant feature is abolished in 33 CE, by the death of Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is highly likely that Daniel 12:11 indicates that the setting up of abominations was caused by the execution of the Messiah. 30 years after the end of the weeks of grace (Jesus started the service when he was 30 years old - Luke 3:23), and 33 years after Israel rejected their leader (Jesus died when he was 33 years old), Jehovah sends the sign that the time has come for his chosen people to reap what they have sown! In Mark we find these words: " However, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation standing (ἵστημι) where it should not be (let the reader use discernment), then let those in Ju·de′a begin fleeing to the mountains. " (Mark 13:14) In 66 CE, Roman army commanded by Cestius Gallus arrives to quell a rebellion. After taking some of fortifications in Galilee, Cestius is moving toward Jerusalem, and pitch a camp at Gibeon. Noticing the danger, the Jews in Jerusalem leave the city during the feast of Tabernacles, attack the camp and cause significant losses to the Romans. However, Cestius managed to enter the town, began to undermine the temple wall, but suddenly " he retired from the city, without any reason in the world " (Wars of the Jews - Book II, Chapter 19) Encouraged rebels chase the army and inflict them heavy defeat. In Jerusalem, the faith in complete victory was stirred up! However, Christians did something unusual at the time. They leave the happy city! Why? Maybe they did not understand every detail, but they realized, on the basis of the events, that devastation of Jerusalem was approaching. Here is what Moses many centuries earlier wrote: " Three times a year, all your men are to appear before the true Lord, Jehovah, the God of Israel. For I will drive the nations away from before you, and I will enlarge your territory, and nobody will desire your land while you are going up to see the face of Jehovah your God three times a year. " (Ex 34: 23,24) So, when the Roman army encamped near Jerusalem it was a clear sign that something is wrong! The enemy was located where it should not be, in a holy place at the time of the great Jewish festival. Was not that a proof that Israel did not appearing to see the face of their God, and did not Jehovah demonstrate in that way that he no longer protects Jewish people? Gallus retreats from the city and was defeated probably on November 25 66 CE [8]. However, the General has fulfilled the words of Jesus that abomination will stand in a holy place. This disgusting thing was, however, put in place little later [9]? The word in Daniel 12:11 that is translated "set up" or "put" is δοθηναι, according to the Septuagint, and has multiple meanings. Some of them are: to give, allow, grant, reach out. The same word and the prophetic period of three and a half are found in Daniel 7:25"...

The events of Dan 12:1 cannot take place in the 1st century. Chapter 12 is a continuation of Daniel chapter 11. And there the war of the northern and southern kings was predicted. In the 1st century, this did not happen. The Book of Daniel was sealed by God until the end times (the end of the reign of the devil) Dan 12:9

@Сергей-х4к4г Daniel 11 is fascinating. There are multiple fulfilments, which we cannot fully grasp. Some suggest that verses40-43 are fulfilled during the wars of Cleopatra and Pompey in Levant. I guess this was 2nd fulfilment. Following verses 44-45 could refer to the destruction of the temple, but also to the persecution of Christians, servants of the heavenly Temple. It is a fit, but not perfect. Jesus did resurrect many, but not to everlasting life or everlasting contempt. This, and other facts, implies we should expect greater fulfilment, according to Daniel 7:25 and Revelation!

    • @Сергей-х4к4г

@miroslavmatijevic6185 Jesus in the millennium will resurrect everyone He wills, and it will depend on the resurrected themselves for eternal life or for contempt? In the course of the millennium, one of the resurrected will sin and may die, Isaiah 65:20. Also, at the end of the millennium, the devil will tempt the multitude to perdition. Revelation 20:7 In this way some will be resurrected to eternal life, and others to contempt, which is recorded in Daniel 12:2

@@Сергей-х4к4г I agree, but it does not mean that Daniel 12 does not have previous partial fulfilment. You are aware that Apostles believed they live at the time of the end /last days, but Paul was talking about future last days too. For me, it is not a coincidence that "marvelous things" and time for setting up the abomination that causes desolation lasted 3 and half times, from 25 November 66 CE until 7 May, 70 CE !

@@miroslavmatijevic6185 I agree that the apostles were waiting for the end of that system, the Old Testament temple. But chapter 12 shows Christ ALREADY reigning, who will resurrect the dead in the millennium. Daniel 12:2, forever, forever Dan 12:3, which cannot be related to the 1st century and the spiritual resurrection. Paul, before the second coming of Christ, predicted another abomination of desolation in the temple of God, read 2 Thessalonians 2 chapter 1-12 The abomination has already been drawn today, this is the governing body of Jehovah's witnesses, it is like a god whom all witnesses obey, more than Jehovah.
