I did search the net for fuel x capabilities on an Interceptor. I was almost convinced to buy one more than a year back but, refrained. After having seen this video of yours, I was convinced and went straight to RD in Bengaluru and got the lite version. I must admit, I should've got this long back. I can feel the difference and the engine has all it's chaos diminished; it's like the engine got a therapy and is calm now. My current bike runs like my carb Electra tuned to near perfection. Thank you.
I have done nearly 30,000km live in The Philippines so very hot all year round, still sounds brand new but mine is the old carburation model. Keep up the good work up, mate.
All thanks to you brother for owning a Himalayan and inspiring all to own one.... This machine was love at first sight but after watching a whole bunch of review vedios from the fellow bikers I was thinking not to buy it. Later suddenly Ive seen one of ur vedio in first lockdown, after watching a few I realised that one should understand the machine and behave according to it and now I got it a year ago clocked around (4k kms) and thoroughly enjoying it. The way she rides and the way she pulls is mind boggling. Your the one major reason I bought my HIMALAYAN. Thank you so much Anna... Love from HYD.. Keep making vedios and help us to keep our machines rock solid. #himalayandoctor❤
Thats nice experience and i want to know some issues in bs6 with engine sound can u upload so everyone can fix that metal clicking sound and tappet issue
I have started appreciating the ‘this bike is not for city commuting’ bit more and more. The engine definitely wants to stick to higher RPMs and does not respond well to how I used to ride my dad’s first gen Thunderbird - which was putting it in 4th gear and idly chugging through town at 40-50 kmph 😄
Installed FuelX Pro few weeks back. Difference is noticeable, currently checking map 5. Also planning to add BMC air filter and Red Rooster. The only issue I have with my Himmy is that it vibrates like a vibrator near the crotch area(the tank part); and also the there is pronounced vibrations on the foot pegs around 3-4K RPM range, especially in 3rd gear.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Thank you for the suggestion. It’s a tragedy of living in Tier2 city, a good mechanic is hard to find most of the times especially for Himalayan. Also, the bike has just run 2500 kms(2 months old), so waiting for it to at least run for 5k. Then possibly will ride to Delhi someday to get everything fixed. Anything that can be done by oneself?
Ben thanks for the info. My bike makes a screeching noise only when doing a cold start when i depress the clutch in first gear. Its only when i depress the clutch with acceleration
@@DJPTEXAS i faced the same issue which was solved by replacing the clutch plates. (i additionally replaced the entire clutch plate assembly on advice of royal enfield service guys) costs around 8k
It’s because the bike runs on wet clutch, the oil needs to be circulated properly, while cold starting it let the engine idle for at least a minute before you start riding it so that the oil is circulated to every part, do it always otherwise its kinda harmful for the plates
Very useful information brother.. i own a himalyan. Brand new. Should i follow the break in instructions given in RE user manual? It says max speed should be 60 kmph for first 500 kms. 80 kmph for 500-2000 kms. The gear to speed rato they mentioned falls within 2.5k rpm. Is this mandatory to follow that? Riding this bike within 2.5k rpm is a punishment.. please advise you
Hey Ben, Good Morning, I am from Bangalore and I have been referring your videos since I brought Himalayan BS6(2022). After 300kms driven I could hear a weird noise from top right side of the engine(tik tik tik tik). Asked RE service centre they are saying it's a normal noise. Could you please suggest me why could be the reason for this noise? And will powertronics or fuel x pro will settle down the issue ?. Because I could see engine taking stress on long rides.

Great information Ben. Mine bike almost like yours "Thanks to you" . Have powertronic , same spark plug with wire, airfilter and muffler. It’s normal
Learn to ride a LONG STROKE MOTOR accordingly.
What was the problem as I also encountered in Himalayan is it normal
And plans for upgrading the seat or widening it???
Already made a video on it
Thats why i dont listen to this engine noise on hot sunny days😂 but in cold season it was awesome to ride❤
😂👏👍

Get your camshaft and rocker arms checked . If there is scoring , get them changed .
But in service centre people say this is normal sound no need to worry....
But I feel something new for this
Do iridium plug need to cleaned every 5 k km
no they dont need to be touched for 20000 kms.
What’s your bike rpm at ideal state?
1300

how is scram 411? is it any different?
handling wise very different. the engine is also more refined . is slightly quicker too.

I have decided to steel your himi. (Just kidding (;)
Change the valve adjustment on euro 4 mode runs faster less noise
tighter valve clearances are NEVER good for big single cylinder engines .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN that's what i said ,bs4 valves are more wide
