In this video I go over how to learn a language based on your MBTI type. When you said, that for INTJs an idea of being able to speak language in the future is more motivational than actually speak it in practise, I felt strongly called out 👁👄👁
As an INTP, my projects consist of sleeping, forgetting that breakfast exists, building stuff in Minecraft without world edit, procrastination on everything listed above, and development of a game I wanna make.
Wait I do all of that minus the procrastination and the fact that I finished the game I made. it only took a few hours and was very simple tho, to be fair
Thats cooolllll. I just sleep and forget the date. Forget that i have books to finish and plays genshin (addicted, severely) Whahahha... I still cant when he said... Be consistent. Right of the bat.. I died.
Ikenna: INTPs are the types to kind of eat the same breakfast every single day Me, actually eating the same breakfast like I do every day when watching this video: *And I took that personally*
Yup I think our determination as INTJs is our greatest virtue. When we can envision something, we can achieve it and obsess over it, and eventually get amazing with it in a relatively short time:)
I don't know what kind of person "INTJ" makes me, but I came to realize no too long ago that an obsessive personality isn't exactly a bad thing. Using it to my advantage has helped me make strides in my learning.
Those letters mean nothing be a person not letters just having that type doesn't make you anything unless you do something to improve determination or any other virtue
I'm INTJ and you described me _PERFECTLY._ I get so worried about someone else learning quicker than me with a better method ahah. Thank you for the tips :)
INTJ - very accurate! I have to have a complete lesson plan for learning a new language. I have 4-6 resources because I'm terrified to fall behind. And OMG if someone says they learned the language faster, I'm looking around like what did I do wrong. And I dream about my fluency. 🤯
As a INTP that's sooo accurate. Last year I was struggling a lot with english but when I found my own way to learn the language it was definitely like a puzzle being solved. And I can easily talk about interesting topics but when it comes to small talk I get lost since I never really spoke to someone in english. Thanks for the great video!!!
I learned english by getting a youtube addiction at age 10 😁 In my defense, my parents are the ones who bought me a tablet hehe so yeah 12+ hours a day of American youtube for a few years did eventually pay off.
I learnt english by playing online video games. Didn't even realise how comfortable I was getting with the language until I went back to school all the way back in 9th grade. From then on I just read a lot, watched shows without subtitles and imagined conversations in my head. Literally felt like building a puzzle. I was able to reach fluency in a couple of years with zero effort put into it, since I was getting my input from my hobbies.
the website "16 personalities" claims INTP are rare (3% of world pop.), somehow lots of people I know claim to be INTP. Myself included kinda weird And I dont have these "daily routines"... I am very flexible with my daily progress, however: I learned 100% of my english through self learning in games, I never had any proper language education in school or university
@@synka5922 well, INTPs are a lot online, and you as an INTP have probably similar interests to them. Therefore you are likely to meet some of them. At least that's what I think
As an INTP, I'm really happy my type is in the first video to come out about this. Thank you so much! I will say how well it applies to me after watching :)) Edit: As an INTP who literally eats the same thing every morning, you understand my type pretty well I think. I'm sorta trying the MIA method so I think I'm on the right track. I'm not at the tutor stage yet because I want to get a way better understanding of the language before continuing tho
Fellow INTP. When he said I’d probably eat the same breakfast every morning, I was like... no? I later remembered that there was a time when I literally ate yogurt every morning for like a month, and the alternative was cereal, specifically Peanut Butter Captain Crunch and Raisin Bran. I’ve grown to like variety, but only because I’m not the one making breakfast yet.
I am an INTJ who is learning Korean, and I'm very grateful for this well-thought out video with personalized advice. I never knew you were an INTJ- no wonder your methods and explanations always made so much sense to me. I've always been nervous about not making progress effectively, just like you said. Thanks for the video!
Other intj who learns korean too and these methods are soo right , a always plan specific period of time before starting a language to look up resources and plan everything before even starting , cause going without a plan of what to do is actually was the one thing that made me fall back in chinese , I spent 8 months just wondering around the language , people who speak it fluently , bunch of resources online and then ended up building a strong plan that makes me improve faster which is the case since I made it , the whole intj part just makes soo much sense that it really explains why we do things this way 👍🏻
@@AM-qi3xy exactly! Being without a well-decided plan is the worst thing for an INTJ. I think learning Korean is very fun- it's the constant concern that I'm not making progress that is the hardest part.
fellow intj here, when you said "the idea of being able to speak the language is more appealing to us than actually being able to speak the language," i felt that lmao
Interesting that I'm ENTP, but I'm kinda introvert, but I'm extrovert with my closed friends. Btw, the technic of learning while you're speaking to people on your target language is the exactly what I've been doing in my years sturding English. I firstly learned the basic grammar and then I've "followed the flow", I learn new words talking to people, of course sometimes I sturdy some grammar's stuff but my principal way to learn English is just speaking. Example: let's suppost I'm talking to anyone about the Universe, and I wanna talk about our Galaxy but I don't know our Galaxy's name, so I asked to my partner what is our Galaxy's name, and he/she answers: Milky Way. Ok, I learned a new word and sometimes I just figure out the word :)
Oo same with me I'm ENTP but I'm also kinda introvert and i was in shock and i even thought that i did something wrong with that test haha... or maybe I'm half introvert and extrovert
Actually, ENTP is the most intoverted extrovert type (ENTP myself here). That's one of the reasons why *a lot* of ENTPs are miss-typed as INTP or INTJ.
Also guys make sure if you do take the test, not to take the results (4 letters) 100% to heart as depending on various factors you may or may not get the correct type. If you are curious about insuring your results are accurate I'd definitely read this article explaining the benefit of knowing the cognitive functions: www.nerdycreator.com/blog/how-to-use-mbti/
As a INTJ, the parts about tutoring and speaking without having a solid foundation in the language is very true!! I didn't realize this during my Korean journey because I was a bit young, but I didn't really speak Korean for 2 years. I just learned tones and vocabulary and grammar points, watched lots of videos/shows, and I did go to a small session for a couple of months for Korean, but we didn't have to talk in Korean. 4 years later, I can talk Korean with a good accent (according to my teachers and language exchange partners), I have a very broad vocabulary range, I can finally understand webtoons and certain novels in Korean, and I've never been to Korea. I barely have to think about what I'm going to say when I'm speaking in Korean, it just comes out... With Chinese on the other hand, I started taking lessons from the get go (after learning about 100 characters, I know about 200 now) but it's not really working out for me honestly. My tutor is very nice of course, but barely being able to speak in Chinese is a bit bothersome. So I may go back to the method I used with learning Korean, especially after watching this video. 😅
I am an INTJ too, and I can relate to this. I've been learning english on my own 10 years ago, relying mainly on songs, movies, youtube videos, english webpages, video games... and almost never spoke to anyone orally while learning (only, from time to time, mostly through written messages online on language exchange websites, and only when I got used to the grammar and knew a lot of words). It's been 5 years that I consider myself fluent and can use english on a daily basis, on trips, at work, etc... and I have an american accent (which I've got without having to train it). People can't guess that I'm actually a french native speaker. I have learned russian too, which is way more complicated than english. I'm not fluent in russian and still make grammar mistakes, but I had the chance to speak with natives (colleagues) who were very impressed by my accent and ability to hold a conversation: I have learned russian the same way I've learned english. I've never traveled to any english nor russian speaking country
@@Nico97fr Thats amazing!! Russian seems to be a bit complicated, but I guess people could say the same about Chinese (which is the 2nd language I'm currently learning). I'm glad you could relate. It's just hard to talk to anyone without being able to half way/fully express yourself in the beginning. I'm taking Chinese lessons, but I may stop doing them for a while just to gain a better foundation and more comfort with it like my Korean. Also props to you learning English to an advanced level! It's my mother tongue and after learning Korean, I've come to realize how hard/complicated English is to learn... 😅
I'm an INTJ, that's so accurate. I'm learning Japanese, and the thought of being able to watch anime (which I do a lot) without subs and while understanding everything really motivates me
As an italian ENTP, when he said to start talking with other people in the language I'm learning I remembered that I learnt 80% of my english thanks to internet so I totally agree.
I'm an italian ENTP as well and i totally agree, i learnt english in few months thanks to internet, our school system didn't do much for my english lol
Hiii I’m an entp too and I wonder how did you learn writting in korean like I understand listening and I can respond back so I’m fine speaking haha but when it comes to write or read something oh lord have mercy
@@diorgasm4556 writing is simply writing journals in that said language . Start form 1 sentence , keep going and sooner or later you can fluidly write paras ..... I'm learning Korean now , but can't really go outside in this condition 😕
I'm an INFJ-T and trying to learn a second language. It would be awesome to hear your insight on what I can do for my less present personality type. Awesome videos and glad you are making them again after recovering!
I'm an ENTP and I've never felt anything more relatable than this video Jumping between a bunch of different languages and not getting anything done? Me? Never 😂 And it's true, I barely learned any English in several years at school, but as soon as I started talking to people, I reached near fluency within a year
ENTP here, struggled with spoken English for years until I was put in a situation where I had to speak English with many people for one week. After that week, it wasn't a problem to speak anymore (Even if my accent is... Yeah 😂).
If more videos existed with this format our education level would go through the roof Edit: Aight, its fair enough to say the whole personality type thing isn’t exactly scientifically proven at this point in time, so take the statement above as an opinion and with a grain of salt
I totally agree, I once said it would be awesome if kids before high school went to a psychologist just to check what type of person they are and which school is best for them.
While there's value in the idea of having different learning strategies, MBTI is a pretty pseudo scientific idea. It's fun and provides some attention to the fact that people can be different but that's it. Definitely not something we should base our education systems on...
Yes, take it with a grain of salt, but it still can be helpful. Not everyone learns the same, and as an INTP, I hate the current school system with a burning passion. People’s potentials aren’t being recognized, and it’s sad that I can learn more from RUclips than from my teacher with a math degree.
I never noticed this myself when learning about English (started at 9). The way you explained how INTJ can effectively learn a language reminded me how I actually learned English. It was very weird to me how I was able to know that a sentence is grammatically wrong without knowing anything about grammar
ОФИГЕННО! СПАСИБО! жду видео для *nf* типов!) Обожаю, я до сих пор под впечатлением от того что ты не только в курсе MBTI, но делишься практическим его применением, чего на Ютубе мало😳 Ты крут)
I am an ENTP, and I've been studying Chinese and English for eight years at school. By the way, I am speaking, writing and understanding these languages much better than the other classmates, but I can also help them at any time. While I am doing my Chinese homework(做作业), I am watching your video and in my opinion it's true and helpful. :D
INTP, it was interesting to hear you mention focusing on the grammar and construction of the language. I've always found that to be the easiest and most interesting part of languages, and when you mentioned in your book not to focus on the grammar so much in the earlier stages that really confused me because of how it works in my brain.
INTJ here, totally agree with the immersion, immersion, immersion advice. "Speaking from day one" is SO counterproductive - most of the time when I've been forced into that format, I was so stressed I didn't remember a thing that happened. or didn't happen. .. And the Internet makes the immersion so much easier!
As an INTJ, I thought your language learning methods and theory were very INTJ-like. I really like the Ni concepts and theories you've intuited in your language learning journey. Also, it felt like you read my mind at the INTJ part.
omg as an intp who has successfully learned a language all by myself earlier i am amazed by the accuracy of breaking down my type's strategies!! learned a language using consistent (habbitual i'd say) input of an original content and applying it once in a while and voila: c1 in target language. guys, his advise is 🔥
I'm an INTP and you're so accurate about how we learn languages.. It works for me. I listen to podcasts or RUclips videos when I'm doing routine stuff like working out, doing chores or boring things at work. Oh yeah, I picked up most of my English vocabulary and grammar by watching TV and playing games. 😅
okay, firstly im watching this guy because I have a friend that recommended him to me, and immediately I was drawn to this video. I'm an INTP, and as he said, I am extremely sporadic and cannot just sit down and learn a language (i also have adhd, so that doesn't help lmao.) but his advice helps a lot. I've been learning Norwegian for about a year now, and am just now watching this video, but incorporating it into everyday activities is genius. I scroll through reddit a lot and so I joined like five different Norwegian subreddits, I game a lot so I set my primary language in them to Norwegian, I watch english shows on Netflix with Norwegian subtitles (or the other way around sometimes) If I'm looking for a specific kind of youtube video I watch it in Norwegian rather than English, etc etc. It works extremely well, 10/10.
You're awesome bro definitely one of the best language youtubers. I'm an introvert so when people say "just talk to natives" I feel like it's not sufficient enough to just go cold turkey. I feel like I need preparation and to practice my listening, reading, writing, speaking and vocabulary in small chunks and put the pieces together before I have a call or speak to a native speaker. I'm a bit of both the INTP and INTJ because I also set small goals
As an INTJ I rarely talk at all unless it's thinking at loud. Now I have to learn how to think out loud in another language so people don't look at me so badly lmao
As an ENTP I thank you for putting the exact minute our part starts in the description. I just noticed that I actually spent the whole explanation writing this comment. ;-;
I'm an INTP, and I really find continous studying of a language really helpful. That's the approach I am using now. But I find it hard to keep it going since I got my everyday schedule full TT^TT
I don’t think I have ever seen anybody go at language learning from an MBTI perspective, so thanks. Eagerly looking forward to ENFP and the rest of the vids.
@Aidan Chua yeah for some reason I didn't notice it when I first commented until after I looked at my replies. I contemplated deleting it after I noticed but I was like "fuck it, who cares" haha but thanks anyways.
The INTJ is SO accurate. Can barely say a sentence (although it's well pronounced!) but can repeat back in English small conversations. Listening input is key for me.
Thank you so much for sharing this! It's really motivate me since you are also an INTJ like me. I got lots of strength and energy and now I'm gonna get up from my bed and try to improve my English even more.
I knew about MBTI even before I started getting into learning languages Anyway, as an INTJ myself, I do want to find the perfect (and most importantly how to accelerate it), but it always clashes with the philosophy that there is no such thing as a perfect method (even if we’re just taking into account a single person and their preferences). In contrast to that I can say that that there is no such thing as difficult, there is only (a little) challenges of languages, and learning to get used to it and create an internal intuitive understanding of how a language works. My greatest motivator is seeing my competent future self, and my reason for learning languages is:”’Cause why not?” A pretty bizarre reason to wanting to becoming a polyglot I know, but I don’t have really anything going on in my life as it stands now so... Generally I understand that to get a language you need a couple thousand words and an intuitive understanding of Almost if not all the language workings (grammar, syntax, word order, etc.), and you can watch movies and series and naturally acquire vocabulary as you go at your own pace (that at least was my journey to acquiring English (yes, English ain’t my native tongue, I do have the privilege of having two native languages as in: Hebrew and Russian)) I seek to accelerate the process of getting to that level (so far I found that polyglots usually call that level as B2, I dunno if they’re right about it but seems like the description of it matches the level of understanding I need to reach in order to have the language efficiently streamline itself into my head) so how do I do it, I look to make what took me 10 years of not aiming to be fluent and unfocused learning from 0 to master in English to make it about twentyfold shorter by adding dedication and focus to do it, or however short I can squeeze it to, (that’s my Te kicking in as I want to make anything as efficient as possible(efficient including effective and accelerated to the maximum putting the needed effort)) so what is the technique suited for me? TLDR the third topic: what specific micro actions I need to take to achieve the level of understanding of any language (maybe what polyglots call B2, and the rest I can take it from there) (specifically the issue for me lies in vocabulary, the grammar and the language internal framework I can handle, I am heavily distrustful of flashcards (mostly ‘cause it’s repetitive=frustrating) so are there better methods to acquire vocabulary to get to the super level when learning a language becomes effortless)
I'm an INTJ & I didn't realize that getting loads of input about the language was a common thing for us! I watch a ton of anime in Japanese & I've picked up so many phrases/patterns from listening to it that learning the language has been a lot easier than I expected
I'm ENTP, my first language is Spanish I learn English watching videos and TV shows, listening music, in fact ikenna told everything right. Ikenna is a genius waa
I'm an ENTP and native Spanish speaker too, i learned the most of my English through watching movies/tv shows/ youtube videos, my English level is between B1 and B2. Because i was a little bit bored of the English a year ago i started to learn Korean and a week ago i started to learn French. So I'm currently learning English, Korean and French.
OMG. I am an ENTP, I LOVE Michel Thomas method, and I always start by just learning phrases or the bare minimum required, and then dive straight into practice, ideally, while travelling. This was spot on!
I always thought my issue with language learning was my laziness but your bit about intjs made me realize I'm just really embarrassed at the prospect of being worst at speaking in it than others, this video motivated me to learn Turkish again, thanks !
Absolutely everything you said about INTP was thoroughly accurate, and I am impressed by your detailed knowledge of the MBTI personality spectrum. Thank you for this Ikenna.
I'm INTP and that part you said about routine and habitual aspects of INTPs' lives was spot on, because I actually started to do my language activity inside another part of my routine. So I congratulate you for getting that right! Also glad your channel exists, because it merges two big interests of mine(languages & personality psychology)! You got yourself a new sub! :)
I'm an INTP. I switch between 2 different breakfasts (meaning I always have the same breakfast for a period of time, then the other one) and I always have the same thing for dinner. I usually study Korean 30min in the morning and I have considered using gaming as a tool to practice Romanian. I consider input the most important & helpful aspect when learning a new language. I constantly compare Korean to a puzzle. I have Tandempartners for both Korean & Romanian for weekly videochats, and I do enjoy discussing with them. Damn this was spot on!
Dude, A+++++ on the cognitive Fx info. I’m genuinely impressed. Not many can think well about this stuff. I thought of the idea of this series myself and am cringing to see you beat me to it haha but good on ya I’m an ENTP. I’ve been unable to learn a language whilst undergoing a "silent period" as some language gurus around the community have (ill-) advised. I’ve always felt like I had a mind that was made for troubleshooting itself on the fly, as you say. At the same time, I’d also have to advise reading fairly extensively. Dictionaries aren’t necessary for us once a certain amount of vocabulary is built up, so just go at your own (probably fast and/or rushed) pace. And don’t worry about finishing books. But fiction provides the best "bang for your buck" in terms of compensating for the deficits in lexical variety implicit in learning primarily through talking to people. But yeah, outputting is important. Hell, write too. Mistakes you make typically won’t stick with you long-term because of the 4th slot Si. Don’t get me wrong-you’ll surely make motherloads of mistakes (very few of which will be grammatical, but the awkward diction flubs will be numerous indeed). If you don’t get opportunities to show your skills off, you’ll lose interest and frankly won’t develop at the same pace as other types. You’ll also probably quit within a couple of weeks 🙃 EDIT: on second thought, dictionaries are not below us.
Ikenna... you just explained me in a nutshell with trying to learn a language lmao... I'm and ENTP and my biggest struggle is I get unmotivated n then distracted n never get to where i want to be with the languages. Thank you so much for this!
i was surprised with how extremely accurate your advice for intjs was,,, because i recently started learning italian and having experience in learning other foreign languages (english isn't my mother tongue, serbian is) i decided not to take any tutoring classes / irl lessons with teachers UNTIL i reach a level i'm comfortable with on my own - because it was the same with english, and it worked... and also the thing you said about the importance of input and not prioritising speaking from the first day - i think both are correct
14:06 I laughed so hard 😂 "For INTJs, the prospect of speaking the language in the future is moe motivating than actually being able to speak it" 😂 It's TRUE for everything
I’m kind of skeptical of the Myers-Briggs archetypes, so I went into this video with that bias...but I gotta say, you really nailed the INTP one, I’m really impressed.
INFJ and currently 3 months into learning a third language, which is the first language I'm learning on my own! So excited for your next vid but I also enjoyed learning this one. ❤
bruh… you were spot on for intp! i’ve been learning german for a little under a month and i’m making good progress because i use games/streaks to fuel my competitive side and remain consistent. you’re absolutely right about us not being able to talk to people unless we find them genuinely interesting (which is my biggest dilemma honestly). as for the grammar part, i’m a perfectionist so i enjoy learning proper grammar more than memorizing new words
"For INTJ'S the idea of, in the future, being able to speak the language is actually somehow a bit more motivating than being able to speak it in practice" I FEEL SO CALLED OUT XD
as in INTJ at 12:34 that was literally me when watching your spanish update videos I was like damnnn omg what am i doing wrong ??? For INTJs and ofc for others I recommend that you try to speak it in your head a lot and journal (I would look up journal questions online or on tiktok bcz ive noticed tiktok has a lot of pages that are for journal questions) in the language if you dont know the word you need just write it in your native, circle it and when your done writing completely look those words up and rewrite the whole thing then usually i'll reread it outloud to myself. I did that a lot i think i have like 15 journal entries in spanish before i started speaking with natives i feel like that rly helped me to be comfortable for speaking because i knew that i can express myself good enough to speak and also it helped with learning good vocab in my opinion. and i rly agree with you saying how you would recommend INTJs to speak when we are reasonably comfortable and immerse as much as possible I've been watching a lot of yt videos and reading a lot of wattpad in Spanish LMAO for like the past month or two. But its only now almost after a year since i've started learning im just starting to speak with natives through hellotalk and lingbe. I tried before a couple of months ago but i was extremely nervious barely saying anything but now that Im comfortable and confident i feel fine speaking with others i stutter sometimes but thats bcz i need to speak spanish more but overall a lot of spanish natives tells me spanish is great especially my accent. But what would make me upset was when watching yt on how to learn a language and talking to people about learning languages they would say it was bad to not start speaking the language at the start of the language journey. I js wasn't comfortable :/ but i tried to speak it in my mind but just got too nervous of messing up in the language but im ofc fine now bcz i feel like ik enough. but yea thanks ikenna for the video!
I am very happy with this video. Being an ENTP, I find a lot of structured methods of language learning are difficult to follow and this video was very concise in giving me a method that I can actually do and it confirmed whether or not I should actually get to talking to speakers of the language as soon as I want to. Also the part about the backup language was very helpful too!
As an ENTP this is so true. Conversations are my best way to learn. I also like watching anime in spanish, and reviewing vocab, but the bulk of my best learning is with my friends. Also ENTJ tips help me as well. I got post it notes ez goals that really helps :)
I felt called out by everything intp, making parts of my day something I do on autopilot for most efficiency and to remove the need to spend time choosing, not talking to people I find personally interesting (lot of guilt over that one sometimes), and the need to know the internal logic and systems and how the parts work as a whole to learn anything, as well as also gaming a lot. Hope the tips you gave were just as accurate :V
Hey Ikenna! 🇬🇷💕 I bought your e-book 3 days ago, i've already read about the 1/3 of it and i love it so far. It is so useful and it has motivated me a lot more to study the languages i want! I can't wait to see my progress! 😄
You explained my early Korean plight (i'm INTJ or ISTJ) so well... there are even specific instances where I remember how embarrassed I got when I wanted to express a vocal inflection difference across regions that I thought was funny, but I had no tools to explain why and it felt like I spoke in vain.
I had noticed that I hadn't seen any videos from you in a while so I came back and realized that I never subscribed, so I subbed and found this video, and with these new techniques it has convinced me to start learning again
I know it is who I am but it's crazy that you're just explaining everything I do without even knowing me just because of this personality trait thing. 😂
Its almost like if you say general enough things it will apply to the large majority of the population, and thus make you feel like you relate. This is the same way that astrology works, and I would recommend not getting caught up in it.
@@ChristopherWaddelow Yeah I get exactly what you're saying. I would never get caught up in astrology. Waste of my time to memorize all those things that don't necessarily mean anything to be honest. You can find a way that any person relates to anything from any sign to be honest.

😂I felt that too
It was quite the shocking realization that I eat the same breakfast almost every day.
I don't. My gf likes to cook different things.

Wohnen Sie in Deutschland? I saw your name and remembered a German guy I met with the same name. Also INTP
I learned english by getting a youtube addiction at age 10 😁 In my defense, my parents are the ones who bought me a tablet hehe so yeah 12+ hours a day of American youtube for a few years did eventually pay off.
@@powerpuffcurl1459 did you use subtitles?
I mean, as a INTP, I can't smalltalk in any language, Including my native one XDD
Wait I’m an INTP and why is this so accurate
Because he's Ikenna
As an avid gamer INTP, couldn't agree more
the website "16 personalities" claims INTP are rare (3% of world pop.), somehow lots of people I know claim to be INTP. Myself included
kinda weird
And I dont have these "daily routines"... I am very flexible with my daily progress, however: I learned 100% of my english through self learning in games, I never had any proper language education in school or university
I've never felt more offended by something i 100% agree with
@@synka5922 well, INTPs are a lot online, and you as an INTP have probably similar interests to them. Therefore you are likely to meet some of them. At least that's what I think

Edit: As an INTP who literally eats the same thing every morning, you understand my type pretty well I think.

So many people eat the same breakfast every morning. This has nothing to do being an INTP.

If more videos existed with this format our education level would go through the roof
Edit: Aight, its fair enough to say the whole personality type thing isn’t exactly scientifically proven at this point in time, so take the statement above as an opinion and with a grain of salt
Also, it felt like you read my mind at the INTJ part.
omg as an intp who has successfully learned a language all by myself earlier i am amazed by the accuracy of breaking down my type's strategies!! learned a language using consistent (habbitual i'd say) input of an original content and applying it once in a while and voila: c1 in target language. guys, his advise is 🔥
INTP gang where you at
I'm an INTP and you're so accurate about how we learn languages.. It works for me. I listen to podcasts or RUclips videos when I'm doing routine stuff like working out, doing chores or boring things at work. Oh yeah, I picked up most of my English vocabulary and grammar by watching TV and playing games. 😅
Yo Ikenna, this is some top tier content
okay, firstly im watching this guy because I have a friend that recommended him to me, and immediately I was drawn to this video.
As an ENTP I highly appreciate this video. Thanks a lot.
You're awesome bro definitely one of the best language youtubers. I'm an introvert so when people say "just talk to natives" I feel like it's not sufficient enough to just go cold turkey. I'm a bit of both the INTP and INTJ because I also set small goals
As an INTJ I rarely talk at all unless it's thinking at loud. Now I have to learn how to think out loud in another language so people don't look at me so badly lmao

Thank you so much for sharing this! It's really motivate me since you are also an INTJ like me. I got lots of strength and energy and now I'm gonna get up from my bed and try to improve my English even more.
I knew about MBTI even before I started getting into learning languages
Anyway, as an INTJ myself, I do want to find the perfect (and most importantly how to accelerate it), but it always clashes with the philosophy that there is no such thing as a perfect method (even if we’re just taking into account a single person and their preferences).
I didn't feel like I was actually an INTJ and you describing your language learning experience and personality blew my mind lmao
Love this concept!! As an INTP I often do learn differently than the standard advice suggests, so it’s really cool to see this video. Thanks :)

Dude, A+++++ on the cognitive Fx info. I’m genuinely impressed. Not many can think well about this stuff. I thought of the idea of this series myself and am cringing to see you beat me to it haha but good on ya
I’m an ENTP.
You’ll also probably quit within a couple of weeks 🙃
EDIT: on second thought, dictionaries are not below us.
I’m ENTJ and it’s crazy because that is literally how I learn languages aha very accurate
Ikenna... you just explained me in a nutshell with trying to learn a language lmao...

I got INTP-A and I definitely do not have a schedule and I don't to the same things everyday...

bruh… you were spot on for intp! i’ve been learning german for a little under a month and i’m making good progress because i use games/streaks to fuel my competitive side and remain consistent. you’re absolutely right about us not being able to talk to people unless we find them genuinely interesting (which is my biggest dilemma honestly). as for the grammar part, i’m a perfectionist so i enjoy learning proper grammar more than memorizing new words
Nur weil ich eine Sprache nicht fließend beherrsche, heißt das nicht, dass ich Google Translate nicht verwenden kann
"For INTJ'S the idea of, in the future, being able to speak the language is actually somehow a bit more motivating than being able to speak it in practice"
I FEEL SO CALLED OUT XD
as in INTJ at 12:34 that was literally me when watching your spanish update videos I was like damnnn omg what am i doing wrong ???

Being an ENTP, I find a lot of structured methods of language learning are difficult to follow and this video was very concise in giving me a method that I can actually do and it confirmed whether or not I should actually get to talking to speakers of the language as soon as I want to. Also the part about the backup language was very helpful too!
Wait this is actually insane 🤯
As an ENTP this is so true. Conversations are my best way to learn. I also like watching anime in spanish, and reviewing vocab, but the bulk of my best learning is with my friends.
Also ENTJ tips help me as well. I got post it notes ez goals that really helps :)
As ENTP i learn pretty much everything by doing it.
ISTP-T here, hopefully u will make a video about us :')
MEEEE LETS BE FRIENDS
Wait no im istp-a, my assertive is 51% while my turbulent or turbulence or whatever is at 49%
Almost the same: ISFP-T (Adventurer). The profile is for a great part true, but also part not.

Hey Ikenna! 🇬🇷💕 I bought your e-book 3 days ago, i've already read about the 1/3 of it and i love it so far. It is so useful and it has motivated me a lot more to study the languages i want! I can't wait to see my progress! 😄
Have you read all of it now?
Yesssssss newwww vidéo 😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are first
yes the bragging rights is yours
You explained my early Korean plight (i'm INTJ or ISTJ) so well... there are even specific instances where I remember how embarrassed I got when I wanted to express a vocal inflection difference across regions that I thought was funny, but I had no tools to explain why and it felt like I spoke in vain.
Me: Gets INFPT

@@jeffweaper925 no. You are few
I took the test and wow! It explained the type of person I am with immense detail... I highly recommend you take it as well! Thanks Ikenna.
