Hi Chris! The shrimp and cheese would be great! (I can't eat red shell fish) I wouldn't omit the ctackers though, or you may find it too soupy. You need the crackers to take up the excess moisture and hold the flavor of the fish juices. I've tried it without the crackers in other variations and that's what i found, anyways! LOL! Sure, bring up the hot sauce, then you can try some of our home made hot sauce! (It's a little hot, my garden was heavy on habaneros this yr, LOL) We'll have to fix you up some dairy free yummy options!

The cream cheese people really need to find a better way to package their product i always have to take a fork and scrape off a lot of it that dip looks really good

The real clam dip is just clams and clam juice, Philadelphia cream cheese, lemon juice, and horseradish. Mix well and eat with Lay's potato chips.
You can make it any way you like and eat with whatever you like. We make it the way WE like. It's a generational recipe here.
