Hey everyone! I passed my G test this afternoon on the same route. thanks to this video!! I was only tested on the highway not any 3 point turns, parallel parking, emergency stop etc (this may change as of April 1st 2022) and my test was only 3 minutes on the highway.
Just passed my G drive test today. Thanks Evgeniy for the insights on what to expect for the drive test. It was pretty easy, full stops, lane changes, turn signals, speed limits, mostly the basics on how to drive in the highways. No parallel parkings and 3 point turns. It helps to go through the drive course prior to the test to familiarize yourself and be confident with your driving skills. Good luck on the road you guys!

Thank you so much for this great video. I passed my g test in the downsview test Center without any instructor and lessons. Just follow this video, and I m cleared. I just practiced two times before the test. Route was the same and had not asked to do parallel parking, reverse parking, and theee point turn.
I just did my G road today at this centre. I passed it was same exact route. Thank you you for your video it helped alot. Fo however is doing G in coming days just go around 1-2 times practice it. Pay attention to your speed alwayssss look right and left and back mirror. And when entering the highest dont go by the Singh because you will FAIL. I know its 70Km but go 95-100 if the line is clear and not busy😜 also no parallel parking, no residential area and no 3 point turn also not even a reverse park for me. Good luck everyone. 😍

There was no additional parts added to my road test, the route was same as in your video, quite smooth & the traffic was not busy, he asked me lane change for 2 times in commercial area at speed limit of 60 mph & 50 mph, also change lane in highway, no residential area,when back drive centre asked me to park the car in any slot. It took totally 22mins to finish the test :

I just did my G test last week and passed. This was the exact route, except when we went into the neighborhood he changed the streets compared to what's shown here. We went straight instead of that first right turn in this video. Thanks a lot. This helped me so much! First attempt too :)
@@Kroitk Hey, so the whole thing was less than 30 min for sure. I was running on adrenaline and was focused on my thing that I didn't pay attention to the time lol but it was def less than 30 min. On our way to 401 along Sheppard and then Allen, he made me do lane changes. On 401, lane changes as well. Inside the neighborhood, just emergency stop w/ uphill and 3-point. NO parallel thankfully. After the 3 point, we went back to the test center. He made me do back parking, then pull out again and do front parking on a different spot. That was it. The neighborhood portion was so quick. Make sure you practice your parking. I was shook when he made me do it twice lol
I just passed my G test today! Thanks for the video. One thing to note for those that are practicing for their G test, the test has been shortened because of the backlog and I didn’t have to go into the neighbourhood at Calvington after exiting out of Keele. But not sure when the regular test route will be implemented back again. They seem to be mainly checking for lane changes, maintaining speed, checking blind spots, etc. I was asked to make a lane change on Sheppard, then after turning right at Sheppard and Allen, then one last one on Keele. Note that it’s all 60km until the 80km mark on Allen now.
@@cmt2439 be aware that due to the traffic/construction on keele you MAY or MAY NOT have a route change. I did mine Wednesday morning at 10. Instead of this exact route, I drove down to avenue to get on the highway. Exited off at keele, but hopped back on the high way and drove back , exiting at avenue and drove back on Shepard to the test centre. I also didn’t do any parking. Good luck
I forgot to comment but I passed my G test recently, and the route was pretty similar. Thank you for your video. Pretty much just check your mirrors, blind spots and drive safely. Practice turning, signaling and lane changing as much as you can to help make decisions easily on test day. I was asked to do all the bells and whistles for parking.
Passed today, thanks for your video and tips!! I was asked to stay on Allen road and circle back through Lawrence west, didn’t board 401. Special attentions to the speed signs, being asked to increase speed couple of times but guessing that didn’t count too much negatively at the end 😀 . Be sure to look left right while crossing intersections, do frequent scanning of the surroundings, stay well behind the car from front and stop ahead so that both tires of the above stopped car are visible. Special tip given by my friend to wear a cap so that slightest head movements are apparent to the examiner. At the end super smooth experience due to all your hard work. Kudos ✌️

@@aidansolway7467 yes, the test is shortened. No parking were asked. They just asked me to do couple of lane changes both in highway and regular speed limit roads. And did a Front-in parking in the drive test parking area while return. That’s it.
@@ashleyb5533 So see how at 2:59 this guy says "this stop sign we're going to the left"? The officer took me to the right and we went over the railway crossing. Nothing difficult about it, just pay attention to the railway lights and speed signs. Good luck!
I went for my G full yesterday (exact same route), I failed because I wasn't fast enough entering the highway. I did not pick up speed fast enough after the turn limited to 70km. As you mentioned in the video we should pick up to a 100km/h on the ramp entering highway...however the ramp doesn't look the same as the video is now nicely paved and constructions works are done so I got confused. 2 seconds of confusion and I failed :( Maybe a good idea to include a banner in the video to inform viewers that the road now looks different :) Thank you guys so much for this!! You are totally on point!

Hi, i really like your videos, one suggestion, the small video screen showing the driver on the bottom right corner is a bit confusing because when the driver turns in one direction on the main screen, the small screen he turns in the opposite direction (relative to the viewer of the video). This could be fixed by mirroring the small video. Everything else is super helpful! thanks

12:40 you were asked to change the line and you turned on the right signal at the same time as you looked on the mirror. You have to do it sequentiallyю 12:53 is even worse. You checked the mirror after turning on the light 😶
Ive had this question for G-test...especially on the highway...on the 401, although the posted speed limit is 100kmph, most drivers go at almost 120 kmph most times even in the rightmost lane, in that case, say you were to merge onto the 401 and: 1) the car behind you and the car that just went past you, were going at 120, then do you also go at 120 or their speed ? so as to not block traffic? or do you still merge and drive at 100kmph? 2) say you merged onto the 401 and you left merged onto another lane (as the examiner instructed you to) and on that lane, cars behind you and after you were going at more than 120 kmph, do you match up to their speed? or go at 100 kmph? 3) say you drive at the posted max speed limit (100 kmph), and the car behind honks at you, do you get points deducted/ fail?

Its true was maintaining speed, no cars behind me when he ask me to change lane so i changed lane on 100kph and he said i shouldve speed up when changing lane
Only mistake I saw when you parallel park you forgot to check left blind spot, thats a critical error. For any type that involves reverse left and right blind spots need to be checked. Thats why I failed for G2 2 time. Third time I knew that and I passed.
@23:15 you didn't mention that When facing uphill , turn the wheels sharply to the right. If the vehicle rolls, it will go off the road rather than into traffic.

Hey Evgeniy, you may want to update the route for G test. I challenged mine yesterday and the examiner took me on a totally different way. I spent the last week watching this video t least one time every day, I watched it so many times that I think I could have completed the test blindfolded lol. Needless to say, I failed the test. Even though your video is extremely informative and helpful, I wasn't counting on the examiner (#232) having a PMS that day or he's just a prick. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your videos and helping so many people out there with their tests. Quick question: Do any of you guys know if I can re schedule my Full G test? I know they say you only got 1 shot, and if you fail you have to go back and challenge G2, but I read somewhere that you could retry G again, and they wouldn't notice. Any Thoughts?
@@sandrayalda4123 Yes it was. They only had me drive around main roads and highway driving. I did not pass due to not being able to accelerate properly on the highway. I could not get up to 100 and it was pouring out that day. The testing center also forgot about my exam for 2.5 hours and they rushed it at 3 pm. At the sign in desk they did not pass my paper to the testing instructors and I was waiting in my car until they realized. I hope this info helped!

He does, but it's very subtle, he turns his head as if he's looking at his friend on the passenger seat. I reckon if this was a real test the instructor would prefer if he'd make more significant head turns.
Thank you for your great video. I have my G test on Friday at 8.30 am. There were no other slots available for me. I am really nervous. When the examine sits with me. I just freeze and forget to check my mirrors and blind spots even though I have more than 20 years of driving experience in various countries. I am really surprised who the examiner can catch even the smallest mistakes when they are so busy making entries on their note pad. Just a note, you made 2 rolling stops turning to the right in your video. I think the examiner would have caught that.

How can you merge in 401 if there are many cars on the next lane? Do I still need to speed up?

I know they say you only got 1 shot, and if you fail you have to go back and challenge G2, but I read somewhere that you could retry G again, and they wouldn't notice. Any Thoughts?
You should be fine to reschedule your G test either way. I wish you the best of luck next time. I got my test coming up soon too, in about 2 weeks.

Was the test still shortened due to backlog? I have a test in 3 days and I wasn't sure if they are still doing residential and 3 point turns

@@sandrayalda4123 Yes it was. They only had me drive around main roads and highway driving. I did not pass due to not being able to accelerate properly on the highway. I could not get up to 100 and it was pouring out that day. The testing center also forgot about my exam for 2.5 hours and they rushed it at 3 pm. At the sign in desk they did not pass my paper to the testing instructors and I was waiting in my car until they realized. I hope this info helped!

They won’t let you use any cameras as you have to be able to do it without them.

He does, but it's very subtle, he turns his head as if he's looking at his friend on the passenger seat. I reckon if this was a real test the instructor would prefer if he'd make more significant head turns.

Thank you for your great video. I have my G test on Friday at 8.30 am. There were no other slots available for me. I am really nervous. When the examine sits with me. I just freeze and forget to check my mirrors and blind spots even though I have more than 20 years of driving experience in various countries. I am really surprised who the examiner can catch even the smallest mistakes when they are so busy making entries on their note pad.
Just a note, you made 2 rolling stops turning to the right in your video. I think the examiner would have caught that.
