You can unironically purchase evovled godzilla AND shimo from hiya toys for a lower price than shma evo goji alone, how is this even a competition at this point ?
Yeah when I placed my order on BBTS it came out to about 150 and a $14 down payment as well. Shocking to say the least and my wallet will hate me. It seems to me like the trend going forward for these figures is they will only continue to get more expensive. HOWEVER, I can understand as this is a new model and new sculpting(and tooling i believe?) so i understand somewhat. But 150 bucks is still 150 bucks😬. I feel like a lot of people may still just get the SH Monsterarts because of the name. The “premium Godzilla figure.” The true test will come when we see the HIYA and SHMA in hand and see if the SHMA truly is worth 3x the price of HIYA.
Same here! Sculpt is fantastic and so is articulation but buyers remorse has been happening alot with them lately especially with awful painted eyes and cheap breakable joints or ones that were glued in >:C
I’m not paying $156 for a less accurate and slightly more articulated version of Godzilla Evolved. Hiya is cooking with these awesome movie accurate figures and cheaper prices and I’m going Hiya all the way.
Brother you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT 100% I said the very same exact thing. The really crazy part is if you look closely at the articulated segments of it, you’ll see that the took cues FROM Hiya Toys and implemented/incorporated them into this release. Which is just utterly insane seeing them do that is an admission to the competition doing a better job.
@@andyroughcut4521 literally what I was saying, how’re they taking engineering ideas from their competitor and then up charging for utilizing their competitor’s ideas 🤦🏽♂️😑
Looking back at Hiya's announcement with their Godzilla Evolved figure and comparing it with SHMA's own announcement, I'm starting to notice that Hiya's version was poorly posed and photographed
There is no comparison here get the Hiya version, but if you have extra cash to burn than get SHMA or heck both of them, because we got options and options are good.
I love the Godzilla content dude. We definitely have to chat monsters sometime. Also, I’m not sure if it’s listed, but shma evolved has 2 different pairs of hands. You can see the fingers are bent differently in some of the photos
I guess the extra hands were so close I mentally omitted it. Kinda like outreached and open hands. I know the new hiya godzilla they announced where he's charging up has more closed hands though.
Problem is as amazing as SH looks they get photographers that would make magazine models jealous in comparison to what we get in hand. Look at -1 Goji production shots vs in hand images. Hiya, in my experience, often looks better in hand then their product stills. They also don't have a reputation for falling apart out of the box as of yet.
I pre ordered mine, but I'm a little shook too. I understand the new tooling, and the work that goes into these, but this figure is the same price as their Blue Eyes White Dragon! That figure comes with multiple stands, and a beam effect with multiple parts. So my new question is, why? Is it made with more expensive plastic, is it because Yuji sculpted it, is it the brand itself?? I'm very curious. Does this mean if they release a heat ray, or alt version of goji evolved will it be about the same price since there's no new tooling/sculpt?
Promo pics are always prototypes. The release version is always worse, by how much remains to be seen and difficult to predict with SHMA’s track record of late.
Hiya is more recommended, even though is don't come with accessories, at least is not overpriced, hiya toys king ghidorah come with gravity beam and shmonsterart come with nothing for 200dollars!, hiya is our best choice for now
@@billybeigecustoms they cooked with this Godzilla but decided to make it a high price and atomic breath effect 💀that’s not worth 139 their were other Godzilla figures that came with an atomic breath effect and it cost cheaper
Imo, there kinda the same figure looks wise. SH has more articulation but other than that there kinda the same and I will be getting the HIYA since its way cheaper
Completely agree. I have been a shm fan for a long time but prices like these this is a joke. So many are just blinded by it and are all in. I won't knock anyone for it but give me a break that price is insane. Hiya has been great for doing outstanding figures for a reasonable price. For me, with these crazy price increases, immve walked away from shm it's just not affordable or realistic for many. Sticker shock is an understatement.
I love the movie accurate posing shma can do but the level of detail in the scales just is lacking for me. It just looks like bumpy skin, not very movie accurate. Hiya however is cheaper and I think has more accurate looking scales to me. But if you're willing to drop big money go with spiral studios evolved godzilla. Perfect level of details
They probably figured evolved godzilla meant evolved pricing LMFAO!!!!

You can’t, that’s adding up to 110 while evolved is only 100

The figure does actually come with extra hands to recreate the Antarctica scene but yeahhhh.. I’ll go with the Hiya.

You could buy the Hiya shimo and evolved Godzilla for the price of just sh monsterarts evolved Godzilla…. Yeah hiya for the win!
Cheaper

Dont forget hiya toys exist which offers basically same thing with cheaper price 😅
It cost more than hiya's shimo and evolved godzilla more. SHMA shimo's price is going to make me cry.
two figures for the price of one. wheres the competition? 😂
I’m not paying $156 for a less accurate and slightly more articulated version of Godzilla Evolved. Hiya is cooking with these awesome movie accurate figures and cheaper prices and I’m going Hiya all the way.
That's what I've been saying. Hiya still looks more movie accurate and is a fraction of the price. Not a real competition to me

Hiya toys godzilla figures are easily better for the price. It's really not even a choice. Plus sh lately has had lots of qc issues

Huh I said that I would get the evolved Godzilla thinking it would be like 75-100 and now I’m second guessing
I just cant buy the hiya one 😅 Im a SHMA person.
For 150 the Godzilla must’ve looked perfect which it clearly doesn’t.
and hiya is bigger fk monsterarts
It’s 94 pounds
Hyia products are much better made. The SHMA stuff is plastic and many of them fall apart. Hyia is mostly hard rubber and much better value.
