- 1.0 - INTRODUCTION | Basics of Teletype
This is the first in a series of videos dedicated to demonstrating the basic functionality of the incredible Eurorack module, Monome Teletype.
In this video we will be looking at the hardware side of Teletype and the different modes available.
Obviously, these videos are aimed at people who starting out with Teletype for the first time and will hopefully serve as a reference for those wishing to develop their basic Teletype skills.

amazing.
also: do not apologize for your voice, seriously.
I'd say it's in a similar league as Hainbach, Loopop or Mylar Melodies. Calming and very pleasant to listen to. Please keep at it!
Thank you so much for this, it’s much appreciated. Unfortunately, my day job is getting in the way of me adding to this series just now but I hope to free up some time to upload more in the future.
@@theghostsaboteur6546 understandable. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your channel reaches self-sustaining follower numbers at some point - three digit is just criminally low for the quality of your content - and talking about praying to some obscure algorithm: I am so falling for the weird techno-esoteric vibes I am getting from the teletype. obscure language for obscure patterns to obscure sounds. lovely. in any case, all the best, mate!
You are a hero for making these! I would love to learn about teletype/ER-301 integration
Integration with the ER-301 is definitely on the list. Such a great combination of modules when using i2c
Nice one...clear and simple. Should you feel inclined to make more Teletype videos after laying down the basics I will definitely be watching! Your voice is an asset...don't apologise
Really appreciate that, thanks so much. I’ll definitely be posting more advanced stuff in the New Year once we get a bit further through the basics. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
These are wonderful!
Excellent video, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Oh man, I am so happy you started this series. I really need to get started using mine. I just keep putting it off.
I really hope the vids will be of some help. It’s such a useful and creative module when you get into it, I use it in almost every patch in one way or another 👍🏻
Wonderful video, exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thanks!
Really glad to hear that, thanks for watching 🙏🏻
This is awesome 🔥
Keep these coming 👏
Definitely more to come in the new year, thanks for watching 👍🏻
Realy nice is great monome teletype.............
Great explanation:) more teletype tut please :))
More on the way for sure, thanks 👍🏻
Question: If I want to trigger a script with multiple commands (ie: every + prob + del), can I do that on one line or do i need to nest the commands within other scripts?
Very good video, thank you for this! At 15:15 you disable a line so that M does not send a trigger. What key combination is that? I had a look at the manual but could not find it there. Thanks!
Hey thanks, I’m happy the video has been helpful. I’ll probably do a separate video for keyboard shortcuts etc.
To enable/disable a line of code, select the line, then hold Alt and press /
👍🏻
I had the same question…really fantastic video. Thanks!!!!!
can you connect Norns to it? And use it like Crow.
They should have done it in Unix syntax. I would buy five
Music, WhAtS DaT!?
The music in the video is a track called Nest by Voder 👍🏻
