Multi Versio is an alternative firmware for the Noise Engineering Versio series of modules that was coded by Paolo Ingraito and is completely free. The firmware consists of 7 different effects that can be switched between by using the two mini switches on the front panel of the Versio. For this video I will be concentrating on the Lo-Fi effect but be making further videos regarding some of the ...

PATCH NOTES 3 - Lacrima Versio Beats The Lacrima Versio is one of the latest modules in the Noise Engineering Versio series. It manages to pack in an impressive amount of features including an adjustable envelope follower, variable filter type, distortion and chorus. In th...

PATCH NOTES 2 - Melotus Versio Beats The Melotus Versio is one of the latest modules in the Noise Engineering Versio series and, for me at least, is going to feature in my rack and in my music for some time to come. In this patch the Melotus has a rhythmic sound source at its input derived from the Basimilus Iteritas Alter. Modulation for this patch is coming from the Monome Teletype/TXo in the...

I was looking to create some dark cinematic drone swells and found that this module was perfect for the job. For ...
hello - will you be making any more videos ? thanks :)
Now i need a Versio 😍
Super neat!!! And your videos are really a treasure as it 's clearly and righteously leading the way into this fascinating module!! Thks!
Truly excellent 🎉
Thats insane i need this for the Patch init or daisy patch sm ^^
Needing a refresher, it was nice to return to your videos. As others have already shared with you, your presentation is great. I only wish that you'd continued making other tutorials. I'm guessing you have/had your Teletype connected via i2c to your ER-301 and Just Friends, that would have made for a nice tutorial. In this video, you mentioned that you would go through the other variables in a future video, I've not yet gotten through the rest but I can't see from the titles that this ever came about. And what of the tracking function? Thanks though for all you've already created for us.
thank you! curious, which software did you use to create the patch notes? thanks!
Hi, I used Affinity Designer for the Patch Notes 👍🏻
Honestly your tutorials are by far the most complete, and your examples are exciting and clear. Please continue to make teletype related videos! I would love a Just friends, w/ , crow tutorials as well. i2c is exciting but i fear its another highly technical aspect of the teletype that I dont fully understand yet. Cheers!
Thanks! This series is probably the best introduction to teletype...! I really appreciate your efforts...! 😀
can you connect Norns to it? And use it like Crow.
Make I ask what software you used to create your patch sheet?
Hi there. I used Affinity Designer. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
These were great! Please keep going!
Thank you so much!!! Very very very helpful
Every video in this series is pure gold. Thank you so much
Really appreciate it. I’m glad they were of some help to you and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Realy nice is great monome teletype.............
This demo is awesome, but I have a hard time getting my module to sound like this, especially the drop-outs. Especially, with a stereo input signal I find it impossible! Any tips?
They should have done it in Unix syntax. I would buy five
🔥
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for all of the great TT videos.
Finished the series and subbed, hope to see more in the future.
Question: If I want to trigger a script with multiple commands (ie: every + prob + del), can I do that on one line or do i need to nest the commands within other scripts?
thanks for the great video! what software did you use to make the beautiful patch diagrams?
nice track
Thanks so much 🤘🏻
So given that you feed the .sd commands into all random/probable things, there should be basically perfect repeatability, given that the values on the sound sources are the same? as in: really cool for live sets basically? (sick beat btw)
Absolutely, retrigger the .sd command and the sequence starts from the beginning.
What I am not getting yet is how scripts are feeding into one another; how does script 1 know what seed script 2 is referencing, i.e. where is the seed "fed" into script one? (that's the only way I can grasp the repetition, as the "random numbers" for the RAND-commands of script one are in fact the same ones) why does it loop even though script 1 uses RAND/RRAND which is proper randomization (or not?) and should, by my scatterbrained logic, create different values in each iteration of the loop? That would be enlightening to know...^^
r.sd only needs to be specified in one place in your code as it is a global function. So, for example, if you place it in script 5 and trigger it, it will effect every rand command everywhere in the scene (all scripts) If you change .sd’s value and trigger it that new seed will apply to all rand commands. 👍🏻
@@theghostsaboteur6546 aaah alright. understood. thanks mate! :)
amazing. also: do not apologize for your voice, seriously. I'd say it's in a similar league as Hainbach, Loopop or Mylar Melodies. Calming and very pleasant to listen to. Please keep at it!
Thank you so much for this, it’s much appreciated. Unfortunately, my day job is getting in the way of me adding to this series just now but I hope to free up some time to upload more in the future.
@@theghostsaboteur6546 understandable. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your channel reaches self-sustaining follower numbers at some point - three digit is just criminally low for the quality of your content - and talking about praying to some obscure algorithm: I am so falling for the weird techno-esoteric vibes I am getting from the teletype. obscure language for obscure patterns to obscure sounds. lovely. in any case, all the best, mate!
Brilliant, thank you!
tremendous course man! thamk you!!
🙂 Promo'SM.
These are wonderful!
This is so awesome 🙏🤘👽🛸
I’m enjoying your series. It’s good for getting inspiration on ways to use the Teletype as well as learning. Just one nit on this one. I know it’s a simple example for explanation’s sake but TR.P X could replace the whole chain.
Many thanks, I’m glad you’re enjoying them. Absolutely agree, TR.P X would be preferable, my hope is that by demonstrating the long route, folks will find their way to the more efficient solution 🤞🏻👍🏻
This is great , thanks for doing these 🙌🖤✌️
This series continues to broaden teletype’s horizons for me. Keep it up!
Hahah these examples are just so good
Beautiful and very clear video as always. just give me some more clarification on R.SD? I can't understand the understanding between the numbers you write in script 2 and the CV voltages in script 1. Thanks again (:
Hi Emi, thanks very much. With regard to R.SD, this OP sets a starting point for a series of random values that are used by the RAND OPs in script 2. R.SD allows all random values in all scripts to be looped or repeated every time script 3 is triggered. So the note sequences in script 2 can be looped. The reason we write R.SD Y is because we are reading a value from the PARAM pot and storing it in to the variable Y which in turn is being used by R.SD and PROB.SD. I highly recommend watching my 3.0 RAND video, it’s explained much better there 👍🏻
@@theghostsaboteur6546 Thanks <3

Appreciate the support man 👍🏻
... could decide what speed a clock is running... Say more? I really want to be able to take clock in to TT, but as of yet haven't been able to make my brain make it happen. Thoughts?
So great .i Hope everyday a Video from you Came . Best Exploration to teletype . Thx for your Work 👌
Thanks a lot, there a definitely more to come 👍🏻
As always, Thank you very much!
Amazing explanation! I love the format, thanks ghost!
My pleasure, I’m glad they’re helpful 🤘🏻💀
These are great! please make more.
More on the way, thanks for watching 🤘🏻💀
Great video , this is awesome. Thanks for this video 🙌
Hey , I have a question. When u say a second clock that runs script 2 at a different rate. Is that preprogrammed? I might have missed the part were u are talking about that second clock
Hey man, apologies, I probably scanned over it a bit quick. Both clocks are produced by Pamela’s New Workout, the first one is set to x4 and the second is set to /8 and so is much slower than the first. This way the second clock will trigger the random seed (which loops the sequence) every 64 beats of the first clock. The second clock can be divided by more or less to change the length of the sequence. 👍🏻
Okay , I figured it was pam's , just wasn't sure , thank you. I am realy enjoying these videos , I have been strugglin with TT for over a year now just because I am realy bad in learning this type of thing by myself. Thanks again for putting in al this effort 🙌 realy keeping up with what u showed us so far!

Awesome awesome series, and very inspiring aesthetic to your production. I hadn’t quite understood seed, so thanks for covering it.
Hey, thanks for tuning in. Glad the video helped 👍🏻
