Miss my childhood...too bad I stop this hobby 16 years ago...It's not just a toy..we learn so much about this mini car to make it as fast as possible on every curve and type of the tracks..many kids on nowadays always busy around with their video games and shit..

Dominic swett, my friend is involved in this hobby,and its not about controlling the car, its about using physics concept so that the car can achieve high speed and remain stable at the same time by modifying the car with different accessories
the track is awesome.
There' ssome serious fast car and stable props to uncle Raymond :D

6/5/2012 yishun blk 397 having tamiya mini4wd race from 1pm to 5pm. Ist prize 40 % 2nd prize 30% 3rd prize 10% . $1 per ticket . Only alkaline battery is allowed. Track : speed tech with loop.

it depend on the course your runing, for this only one lap it will drop till 1.4

currenlty dont have place to practice, only when race then they have setup track.

PRIVATE RACE rule stats that each racer can have up to two car.
If they make the bottom of those tracks rubber then the cars will get a lot more speed.

What is the point? do you just turn the car on and it just goes around the track with no controller ?
Well what you say is correct, but you have to fixed you own setup, example like it gear ratio , weight , aero dynamic, roller and also depend on the track they layout, mini 4wd is base more Workman-ship of the car ,which also require some basic knowledge and technical skill. is a fun hobby to start up with friends. :D

what motor do they use in this tourny???
the motors of those mini 4wd were really powerful but its useless in a strategic track like that... how do you plan on winning if your 4wd always fly out of the track?
because they wanted to get first place since is a time attack race,some lucky run by the racer got the impossiable timing that why everyone run at highspeed and flew out ;)

no one should "push start" your mini4wd, it's a foul.
yup, those are private race which allow , only objective is to complete 3 laps with the fastest timing. normally rules are set by the organize.
dumbest track if its a race a slow one will win its not how fast your car can be just need to finish it.
is a time attack race
time attack without finishing track is a zero indeed. the slower 1 still wins. adjust it with the accessory and slower engine to make it finish it instead.
