I have recently viewed a few videos of the Soho Road from a number of RUclipss such as Wendall and Wandering Turnip highlighting the open drug dealing, prostitution and general dereliction, disrepair and fly tipping all along Soho Road and along its side streets. On one hand its good to give a positive view, but as a former Birmingham resident I know there are interesting shops selling barfi, international food and arts but crime there is sky high and a place to steer well clear of at night and if you are thinking of visiting during the day keep your eyes open and your valuables out of view. Many people especially those from abroad will be shocked to see that this video was shot in England and not the Punjab.
Handsworth has got rid of 80% of it's gang culture. The problem we have now is alot areas in Birmingham have HMO housing. Which bring the worst of worst to be housed in these areas.
