I honestly hate my life sometimes. I hate that my family is poor and we live in the crazy drug infested chaotic area we live in. For years we have been praying for a Financial miracle so we can move away and have peace but after 20 years of praying I have finally accepted that it most likely is not the will of god and now I keep my hope in the beauty and promise of heaven.

I don’t know what is going on with your family, but there are three things a Christian needs to do to before God will bless your finances. The first is tithing. The Second is giving offerings. The third is living with in a budget. Several Christian pastors have taught on this subject. You can look up Robert Morris or Rick Warren. Have you tried doing these things? Until you do them, your finances will not be blessed. I don’t know if God will give you enough money to move, but things in your finances will definitely change for the better. Are you sure your family hasn’t just been under a curse this whole time, because you are not doing the things I have mentioned? God cannot bless your finances until you do them.

      Shalom!
Hey man, I strongly suggest seeking more wisdom on wealth, because this teaching here can be very dangerous, because he’s not addressing the contexts and themes surrounding these scriptures. How so?
Easily read further in the passage of 1 Timothy 6 (verse 17) and see what Pauls says about the rich later on. An ungodly desire for anything is wicked.
If wealth is wicked, then that would mean GOD is wicked for giving Solomon wealth and also giving us the power to produce wealth Deut 8:18. That’s why I’ve realized it’s important to do your own reading even though we seek more guided wisdom/ thoughts from these preachers of the WORD.
Jesus teaching on the rich man in summary was on the basis of self-righteousness.
I hope this gave you all some encouragement. 🙏🏽
May the peace of Jesus Christ be with you all!

You have a defeatist mentality. Don’t listen to this video. John Piper is a bigot. If no Christians became wealthy who would support local churches and missions? What sin is in your life that’s creating a barrier between you and a blessing? I highly suggest you go on a fast and pray to God, asking for a breakthrough.

What people fail to understand about money (and this is coming from someone grew up poor And now makes a 6 figures a year) is that when you pray for God to fix a financial situation he almost always will bring you answered prayer in seed form. Meaning there will be an open door that you will need to walk through and take action and put effort in To fix your situation.
When I was going through financial struggle I got my heart right with God and started asking him what were the little tiny steps that I could take. He didn't show me the full path but he showed me one step and then I took that and then he showed me another step and then I took that.
You break out of poverty Taking advantage of the resources that God has given you.
I.e. When you pray for a cake God is gonna give you milk flour and eggs and it's your job to bake them.
God gave you a mind he gave you the Internet he gave you books, he gave you so many resources that you can use to learn about how to improve your financial situation.
You wouldn't pray God help me to become a doctor and not study about medicine. Don't pray God Help my financial situation and then not study about money and how to acquire it.
Money enables me to be a blessing to others. Such as last night my Bible study group went out to dinner and I covered the whole tab without anyone knowing as an act of love so God could get all the credit.
Money is a tool that you can use to build God's kingdom or build yourself up don't hate on money it's not going to improve your life one bit by hating it.

One of the prosperity preachers favorite verse in the Bible is 3John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Prosper in the Greek is Euodoō (G2137) compound of G2095=Eu, meaning good or well.
And G3598 Hodos meaning “Way” or “road”
Prosper is not our word prosper and not our word health.
The word prosper is Euodoō , it’s constructed from Eu (well) and hodos (way).
Put the word together it’s Euodoō in the original Greek Bible.
Hodos is the common Greek word for “way”. It’s the same word Jesus used when he said, “I am the way” in John 14:6.
And Eu means “well”. We see that on our word Eulogy. A eulogy is when you stand at a funeral and say well logos (words), well words over someone who died.
Jesus said “I am the way (Hodos). He said there was a narrow Hodos (way) and a broad Hodos (way.
So what John was wishing for gaius was the well way which is Christ.
Also health is in the Greek “hugiano” meaning healthy words, uncorrupt words
Prosperity preachers use that to say God is wishing for us to prosper and have money and physical health. It has nothing to do with money and physical health.

    • @TheTruthIsOutThurr
      @TheTruthIsOutThurr 8 месяцев назад +5

@@TheFightingSheep Simple in your case is synonymous with fundamentalism. We live in an economic planet. Does your conclusion about hating money mean that you do not use it, that you are repulsed by it? If so, how do you take care of yourself and your family? Or is there a balance, a less fundamental view of money, that gives some ground to the fact that money is simply a technology that is integral to the system we are in?

    • @TheFightingSheep
      @TheFightingSheep 8 месяцев назад

@TheTruthIsOutThurr Fundament is foundation, foundation of Christianity is Christ. So if you follow Jesus Christ directly, you are a fundamentalist.
1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV - For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Matthew 7:24 KJV - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
So, to answer your question, my view of money and earthly possession is the view of Jesus and of God, I don't love it, hate it or care about money, family or this life. When we die, we die, I don't want to stay in this world one minute longer than my Father wants me to stay.
Matthew 6:25-26 KJV - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 8:20 KJV - And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Edit: And no, we don't live in an economic planet, we live in the presence of God, by faith in his Word. Economic planet is an idol, it can't save anyone.

      @jonathankuhn2180 Год назад

@@ChristOurKing Its like this, this is how I see it. God can best be seen in nature. Evil and satan, prince of this world, can best be seen in worldly pursuits, the system, cities, an utter perversion of the natural creation. In biblical times, wealth and abundance was more fair and easy to come by, nature would multiply for you, your cattle, your sheep, your grain. Dig a well, you have much water. Have family and family can multiply and be productive. Have some land, build houses adobe style, or with local timber. But in these times, the NWO satan system of money is strong. It is illegal to live off grid, truly off grid. You must have jobs, titles, money, taxes, insurance, cars, tools, etc. All of that is made in factories where humans are divided from themselves and family. And to get those modern resources the earth is being polluted and destroyed. I also was down this financial path, and tech path when I was younger. Mid 30s now. Gods wealth is not in materials or money or fame or prestige, it is in rightnousness, integrity, love, rich in spirit, abundant in family and companionship, the peace of knowing god. We do not need to "own" things, the forest is for all of us to enjoy. I have found few things to be an honest was of earning money these days for many complicated philosophical reasons, I am not judging, but for myself, with great knowledge comes great responsibility. I got hurt falling off a bike, massage helped heal me, I am now a massage therapist, and I try to not only serve the rich. I also farm organically, taking care of the earth, and feeding people quality food. The way I see it, natural health is important, and one of our most basic needs, and in such and "advanced" society, most people are completely disconnected from it. College is evil, liberal, puts you in debt. Why can kids go to college to get in debt, the whole point is for security, to basically buy a home, but grown men nevermind those college kids are not allowed a loan for a home? Skip all the college debt? They are indoctrinated, brainwashed, and put into financial debt. They get introduced to all kinds of evil, and pride, of knowledge that is mostly manipulated against us. Working for big companies, counting money all day, it is all satans system, not gods, Its very deep, and Would take forever to fully explain, and there would be many contradictions in my words, but over time your heart can feel the message. Any questions please ask. Follow your heart, do something simple, that helps the world, they have made it hard, having electricity is destroying our planet and causing cancer, same with driving to work, same with us using the PC right now, satan has desensitized s to his system, and thoughts like this seem laughable and insane to most, trust they are not. This modern machine is wrong, and they mock us. Many many many people resisted the so called industrial revolution, they mock us with that term, the people revolted, but lost, and we are still loosing. They have bred us generation by generation and are slowly boiling the frog, people are addicted to what is no good for humanity, and the machine makes it nearly impossible to be free, but we can resist. Best of luck everyone! I love you all. Seek nature, seek god, seek humbleness, care not what others think of you.

Very interesting perspective. This has been on my mind a lot recently. I often feel that I am trying to reconcile my pursuit and desire for wealth with being a Christian. Christ was a homeless man with very few if any worldly possessions and we are supposed to follow his example.
In this day and age we are told that money is freedom and bombarded with get rich quick schemes etc. I'd say that the ability to detach yourself from money is freedom and be happy no matter what your circumstances. That is true freedom. I think that's the problem, and I understand why this man calls it a curse. It reminds me of the young Noble man who was told to give up all he had and follow christ but he went away sorrowful. Having wealth often makes one accustomed to a certain lifestyle and once they have that they would find it hard to give up and will be willing to do unthinkable things to keep their wealth. Wealth becomes their master. I know many good Christians who have done questionable things in the pursuit of wealth.
I have also been thinking a lot about the mark of the beast and it might seem a bit of a stretch but I'm starting to think it refers to money and more specifically the love of money.

Wealth acquired by the wrong means is cursed. Wealth acquired by wisdom from above cannot and will not be cursed. God will not go against his word. ( Deut 28:1-14)"The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage,
But everyone who acts in haste comes surely to poverty." ( Proverbs 21: 5). I think it is easy to put on wealth as being cursed so this way people don't need to look on the inside and see the money doesn't change people, it exposes what people are made of. If people cannot be blessed with more because they cannot handle it, why is wealth is to be blamed for it if wealth doesn't have any personality, feelings, attitude? If wealth acquired by honest means and wisdom from above is a deal breaker for some pastors, wealthy members need to take their tithe and offerings somewhere else.

The Camel verse is not talking about it being impossible to get to heaven. My pastor has ridden camels and he told us they are often very stubborn animals and do not like to follow direction. They put a ring in the nose to force it to follow a path. The meaning behind that verse is that it is warning you if you become wealthy you can stop taking direction from God and trust in your own judgement and wisdom. It's not saying that if you become wealthy that you're going to hell.
Another point is if wealth makes you go to hell, how wealthy is too wealthy? What is the definition of a wealthy person? Is it being a billionaire? Millionaire? Simply living in America? Owning 3 goats while your neighbor only has two?
Just because the prosperity gospel is wrong doesn't mean you have to take the other extreme and say wealth in general is wrong.

When I read one of the books that is one of the least mentioned on the pulpits, Ecclesiastes, I learn that in life we must first A) Fear God and B) Obey his commandments, but also that we MUST balance everything. No, I'm not talking about balancing good with evil..GOD FORBID, because remember, everything in the Bible must be in harmony with everything else in the Bible but I digress. Here is a simple example of balance: We must eat to live but not live to eat. You don't eat, or you fast, it is good and healthy, but do it for a long time, including not drinking water, and you will die. If you over eat, or eat adulterated foods, you spike your insulin levels over time...and eventually you develop metabolic syndrome, something a lot of people have never heard of, yet it has plagued America for decades. It is possibly the biggest contributor to preexisting conditions...the main thing that made many people in America succumb to COVID 19, unfortunately. Another example is money. I don't think God wants for us to be poor or better put, lack in our needs. What does Proverbs say in Chapter 30 verses 8 and 9? If you are rich, like this preacher just said, you'll just buy more things for yourself and not use it for good and may eventually feel like you don't need God. If you don't get enough, you may end up so poor that you start getting desperate for things and end up breaking the commandment to not steal...and insult God.

The Bible provides doctrines of world views: that in any instance support our personal world views. John Piper is a classic example. Wealth is neither a blessing nor is it a curse - it all depends on who is managing it. Everything he says is both correct and biblical but also out of context. You cannot worship both God and Mammon - the emphasis should be on worship and not on the polar view of the two: God vs Mammon. What or who do you worship? If you are so easily overcome by greed, lack self-control and give in to every desire of your flesh - then you can be sure money will cause you to stumble, rob you of your salvation and forfeit heaven.

I ask GOD many times for the longest time WHY I am not getting the "FINANCIAL BREAK-THROUGH" I am praying for. And finally GOD led me to join a "Missionary School" and there I found the answer to my question about MONEY. The way Missionary lives is 100% dependent on GOD for (literally) EVERYTHING!!! It is the real meaning of "DYING to ONESELF". It humbles them. Many of these Missionaries have good paying jobs & careers yet they gave it all up to pursue the Preaching of Gospel to all nations. They do not have any more personal plans for themselves as they are now "laser focus" on winning lost souls back to GOD🙏. Lesson is : GOD want us to be dependent on HIM 100%. That we must wait upon the LORD & not getting ahead of HIM on planning & decisions making. That we must "detached" ourselves from earthly things instead focus our eyes on eternal salvation. It may seems difficult to do at first .. (giving-up the full control of your life to GOD) .. but it is what GOD is requiring from us to do. 🙏✝️📖

The point is that money itself is not inherently evil BUT people are under this false assumption that they won't be corrupted and then immediately fall away from Yahweh when they are blessed with money. Is this blessing from the devil or from God?
Modern christianity is an abomination teaching this anti biblical message of God wanting people to be rich and prosperous on this earth. This is false for our blessings are in the kingdom to come. The disciples suffered for the name of Jesus and that message. They didn't live in comfort. The rich man and Lazarus story is another example. The rich man was suffering for he had the good things on this earth and Lazarus did not and (it's implied) the rich man was not giving. If we are blessed than more is expected of us and it's ok to be rich and wealthy BUT to expect God to give us money is heresy and to think we won't be corrupted is a dangerous game to play. What is the point of gaining so much and then die that very evening and take none of it with you.

"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.
And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants." ~ Genesis 26:12-14
    And...
"Remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." ~ Deuteronomy 8:18
    And David cried...
"Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity." ~ Psalm 118:25
And even in the New Testament...
"Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life." ~ Mark 10:29-30
"God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." ~ 2 Corinthians 9:8
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." ~ 3 John 2
Nothing wrong with being rich. The Bible says it is a BLESSING. What we are warned about is the HOARDING of riches through the LOVE of money, which leads to avarice and greed.
So, no... do not be mislead... wealth is NOT a curse. Just make sure you keep your heart in the right place, the Scripture in context, and God on His throne instead of ca$h.
    Be blessed!

    He is 100% correct!
    The title is also accurate.
The scariest words that Jesus can say about the rich is “ they have their reward.”
    People please understand…
What comes later far exceeds what comes now.
Beautiful sunsets on white sand beaches while sitting on the deck of your 100 million dollar yacht is trash/ghetto compared to what comes later.
“ no eye has seen nor ear has heard nor has entered into the hearts of men the things that God has prepared for those that believe Him”.
When the earth was created it was paradise.
After the fall it became a shadow of its original.
The mediocre version of the original.
This is what we want though.
Riches buy us a bigger piece of the trash heap.
Once the door closes behind the rich and the game is over, it’s over.
Like a movie criminal offers a cop a bribe to be released, the rich will trade everything they held dear to escape what’s coming.
The poor believers who were satisfied with their lot in life get the “Whole Bag” in the end.
If you can imagine it… you’re wrong!
Because it never “entered the hearts of men.”
If you are rich then change your relationship with your money.
Trust Jesus with your life and make your possessions be in service to Him.
He’ll show you what to do.

Many people love money more than people. That's sad, but money isn't the most important priority. Many people think that people who have money are more important in almost every way than people without it. Money is associated with worth.

Instead pointing out what unbelievers do with their money, how about address the hearts of the individuals. “Wealth does not make you generous!”, then talk about how to be generous. Address the affections of peoples hearts and they will learn how to handle money correctly instead of letting it control and handle them. Love you John Piper though!

That means it is something CHRISTIANS or at least those who think they are must be aware of. The man spends his life teaching about what it looks like to rightly value the Lord and His Kingdom. Why try and call out a minister of the Gospel over a 4 minute clip when decades worth of his sermons are available to listen to and explicitly address all of the concerns you brought up. Do you really think that a 4 minute video is going to contain all of the teachings of a man?

Because based on my logical deduction; If wealthy people are almost always cursed, and John Piper is wealthy, then he must be cursed. Unless of course he magically falls into the category of wealthy people who aren’t cursed….but then, how do we separate the two groups? Ehh this puts me on a crazy thinking trail because then he continues to use the camel needle reference that a camel can’t go through a needle…..so then, it’s safe to say John Piper isn’t going to heaven then right? Never mind his faithfulness to God, he’s rich!!!

    Gen 24:34
“I am Abrahams servant. The Lord has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great, he has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, menservants and maidservants, camels and donkeys”
Here, wealth is associated with having Gods favor and a blessing. Is Christ looking at Abrahams wealth in retrospect and saying that it is easier for one of Abrahams camels to go through the eye of a needle than for Abraham to enter heaven? Abraham was extremely wealthy in his time and so were his descendants. Abraham the father of the faith. Christ himself in Luke 16 when teaching about the parable of Lazarus and the rich man references Abraham in heaven. So we know that he was not condemned for being wealthy.
Is this a contradiction? It appears as though Old and New Testament outlooks on wealth change. Can anyone clarify this?

If you’re struggling to find a preacher that you can trust then just read the Bible yourself and lean on God‘s understanding to you. We all have a set path that could possibly include riches or staying stagnant but I do believe God allowed you to live at whatever level you choose to live on. I’ve listen to TD Jakes Joyce Meyers Pastor Furtick ETC and I’m not ashamed to say that God has used them in my life to get me through some of the hardest things I’ve had to go through. Jesus had a treasurer. Poor people don't have treasurers since they have nothing to manage.
Every time Israel was bad, their punishment was poverty, but whenever they served God, their reward was wealth such as homes, abundant food and many heards of animals.
If wealth is bad why would God give them all these things when they were good and take them away when they were bad? What is bad is putting our trust in money. But money is meant to be free flowing, coming and going.

      @Blaise 2067 The Poverty Gospel
God wants you to be sick and poor. If you are healthy or wealthy, it is because you do not have enough faith and/or are in disobedience to God.
God wants you to be sick so that you will learn to obey His Word.
"Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word...It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees...I know, LORD, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me" (Psalm 119:67-75).
God wants you to be sick because it demonstrates His power.
"Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh...Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me" (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).
God wants you to give away everything you have, so clearly that means He wants you to be poor.
"If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me" (Matthew 19:21).
God wants you to be poor so that you will take your eyes off the things of this world.
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:19-21).
God wants you to be poor. He demonstrates this by how often the Bible speaks against the evils of money and wealth.
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs" (1 Timothy 6:10).
"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24).
"But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?" (James 2:6-7).
God wants you to be sick so that you can rely on His strength and learn to obey His Word. God wants you to be poor so that you can learn to trust Him and take your eyes off the things of this world. If you are not sick and poor, it is because you lack the faith to trust God, are not obeying Jesus' command to give everything away, and are holding on to the things of this world instead of longing for your eternal home in Heaven.

these famous preachers are all wealthy through their churches, oh they only get a moderate paycheck , but all the perks and benefits make them wealthy. I belive a preacher who turns down the travel, the big house , and cars , ect. Not many of us can resist the world.

Wow! That was prophetic brother!Won't hear a lot of truth like that anymore. Most Christians would sell their soul to keep their money or job now, and like you said they will convince themselves it lines up with the Word.
You hit the nail right on the head! Your fruit shows you study The words of Y'Shua/Jesus. Most Christians kind of skip over a lot of His teachings.
The 11th commandment is not taught in church but Jesus gave one more commandment when talking to the rich young Ruler.
11th commandment: "Give your riches to poor and follow me"
How can a person stay rich if they do what He says? They cannot. For if we really love Y'Shua/Jesus then we will give away our riches instead of storing them up.
We are given what we need but when we have an abundance it is so we can do the will of the Lord with it, and if He says give it to the poor then we must obey.
John the Baptist was one of the greatest prophets but was he dressed in expensive clothing? Was he preaching on huge stages in kings courts? But know that the one having less than even John shall be greater than him.
People forget that Satan can bless people as well. In Luke when Y'Shua talks about the unjust judge. We can see that the unjust judge does not fear the Elohim nor does he care for man but answers prayers and mocks the Lord.
Would people still follow the Lord if it meant they had "DENY THEIR FLESH DAILY PICK UP THEIR CROSS/NOOSE AND FOLLOW HIM"
If they love money then the love of the Father is not in them, and they should love not their lives unto the death but Love the Elohim with all their heart and soul and mind.
    Don't stop preaching the truth.

If you are a thief, quit stealing. Use your hands for good, hard work, and then give to those in need. (Ephesians 4:28) We have to balance all of the scriptures out. Obviously we need to pay our bills and give to others. So if you have a career where you get paid well, don’t be ashamed about that. Use your money to glorify God by paying your bills, living a reasonable (not ostentatious) lifestyle, and give generously to those who are in need. The Bible commands those who are rich to be generous and willing to share. So obviously some rich people will be saved. But the warning John Piper gives is straight out of the Bible and should be considered seriously. Don’t love money. Use it to win friends for yourselves in the next life! God and people. That’s all you have in the next life. No possessions going through that eye of a needle! The main thing is God wants us to trust in Him. If we are trusting in money, we’re sunk! But if we trust in Him and He blesses us, so be it.

I find it interesting that people can accept everything Piper says until he talks about money and then everyone starts complaining. Money was always easy for me I made plenty of it without trying very hard but I recently realized it was a distraction from my relationship with God. I'm not saying we are all supposed to give away everything but possessions are the biggest stumbling block between Americans and Christ.

Yeah in your case you should give everything away to follow christ if you are honest to yourself. Many people have not this problem whatsoever because money is a consequence of their honesty, desire to serve and be a provider to other people who are not capable on having their own business. In other ways being a bless to others.

Money is by far, the worst curse ever to exist. I lost my childhood friend in 2013 from those 2 greedy demons and both are later captured and will rot in prison and pay for their deadly sins when they face God after death. To whoever read this, please be very cautious before you mention money in public around people who love themself and money. May lord Jesus be with you. 🙏✝️
