When 8bitdo supporter send me this about a year ago they said keep it private :) i was asking them to use wired or 2.4ghz for android coz my orange pi 5 dont have bluetooth ... lol
My ultimate controller recently arrived. Honestly, the beta receiver firmware made the gyro a lot more stable compared to the updated one. 1.03 gyro is a lot more erratic than 1.02 beta. Edit: forgot to mention that I'm comparing this to the default bluetooth switch pro configuration. For some reason, bt switch mode gyro is a lot less stable than the 2.4g switch pro mode.
games like mw3 or the finals won't see native gyro input. 1. You can use steam to emulate mouse/stick input with gyroscope 2. You can use rewasd or ds4windows to emulate dualshock4/5 and then ingame gyro aiming should work ( sorry for my English)

I also had this problem, after choosing update file try to pull out 2.4g dongle and put it back in
I do what you did and now, 2,4g doesn’t conect to my computer and the light of the control blink constantly
I fix it was an issue with the pairing, I used the official pair app of 8bitdo and it work fantastic, and fix the gyro drift

What software did you use to test it brother?
Yuzu ( Nintendo switch emulator ).
You can use gamepad tester site to check which mode the gamepad is in ( pro controller / x360 )

Gyro works only in switch mode (hold Minus+Y for 5 seconds).
