@@EVO1087R As a developer I find the new start menu incredibly lacking. I use ~55 apps which I like to have grouped for easy access. As you should have already noticed Win11's start menu doesn't do this so well. I used a live tile for the weather, but again that's been removed. Start11 from Stardock has helped recreate 10's menu. Widgets are a new feature on the taskbar, that do offer the weather, but I quickly uninstalled and then had to disable via registry. Adding taskmanager back to the taskbar was another registry tweak, as explorer's context menu. More hunting is required to bring ribbons back in to play with Office. We still don't have a system wide dark mode, so again this version of windows feels very premature. And my biggest gripe, although curved corners do irratate, is the over Android feel to settings. I use a desktop and don't appreaciate a mobile UI on my desktop. I had a longer moan mostly typed up, but then refreshed the page. Overall if you liked 10, you will be applying tweaks for a few days after installing, or using one of may apps to do so. I'd still be using 10 If it were not for upgrading to a 12900k.
@@alistermunro7090 My question was about the built in sandbox for win10. Does it crash, slow, glitchy? I agree with you on the overall undercooked ui. I used to make themes for win7. Have they been allowed for win10 yet? It looks like win11 will have a dark theme, maybe less mobile devicey feeling hopefully. I think they are trying to make windows work for phones and pcs and dont want to make separate platforms.
@@EVO1087R Sorry, I'm all over the place at the moment. It's been years since I looked at Window's sandbox due to it being so poor in performance. Have a look at VMWare for full OS virtualisation and Sandboxie Plus for more light weight tasks such as web browsers. Both have free versions.
I HAVE RUN IT FOR 12 YEARS WITHOUT A PROBLEM NOW IT WILL NOT WORK ON A NEW H.P ALL IN ONE --- SEEMS TO LOAD O.K. --- AS SOON AS YOU RUN YOUR BROWSER THROUGH IT --- GOOGLE LOADS BUT WITH ONLY SOME OF THE USUAL LOGOS --- AND GOOGLE SHOWS THE SITE BUT SOMETHING IS BLOCKING IT AND YOU GET NOTHING --- IT IS DEAD --- ANYONE.
