Well shit, I guess I misunderstood something at some point in the show. I thought that combining all the prism shards together is what would bring the original world back from the dead since these alternate worlds are just the shards of the original world. That combining all the prism shards would bring back the original world, but at the price of all the shatter worlds cause once all the shards are fused together, the alternate worlds will be fused together and cease to be. Sonic’s world would be back, but all the shatter worlds would be gone. I thought the reason Nine was so mad at Sonic’s plan to combine the shards together was because Nine realized that if Sonic brought back the original Tails, Nine (and all the other Tailses) would cease to exist. And that’s why Nine kept insisting that he is real, he is a real, living person and he doesn’t want to be erased. I thought that Nine wanted to create a new world Sonic could be happy in and stop Sonic from bringing back the old world because bringing back the old world means death for him. It looked like Sonic would be caught in a moral dilemma where he would have to make a hard decision: should he let his home world and everyone he knew and loved stay deceased so that the shatter worlds and all their peoples can continue to exist, or should he play god and resurrect his dead world, but at the price of erasing all the shatter worlds and everyone in them? ...But I guess that’s not what was going on. Of course this show would take the easy way out and say that the shatter worlds and the original world can both exist at the same time even tho that makes no sense.
I agree. Maybe it's because I play to many Atlus games but I thought that episode 8 of season 2 had an interesting cliffhanger of Sonic his new friends or old ones. Hell it would've challenged what Nine said to sonic in season 3. That he feels the need to be a hero and save everyone since he failed to save his world (That would have been a nice arc it self if the show wasn't made for 5 year olds.). It's a situation where Sonic can't save everyone has to choose one or the other. So yeah I also was confused and disappointed that the other universes are still around after reforging the prism. Also sucks that Nine is still lonely.
Y'all didn't have to suffer for a third time, but I appreciate your commitment. Real troopers. I think the only real appeals that this show has to me is the animation and the voice cast. They really manage to push the expressions and poses to their limit and I love it. The voice actors do a brilliant job with what they got to work with. Devan Mack is definitely my favorite voice for Sonic now even if I think his voice doesn't work for the show's version of the character. It's probably not gonna happen, but I really hope they get Prime's voice cast in the games. Only other thing I have to say about Prime is the "flashback" scenes are horrendous.

This series is the IDW of Sonic cartoons. People love it, yet I cannot fathom how they could. This show is just awful. I'm so glad it's over, so now we can move on from it and hope we get a good Sonic cartoon sooner rather than later. There are good action cartoons for kids (from these writers), yet this show still stinks. I also don't like most of these voice actors. Deven Mack has a good voice, but the direction and writing killed it. Vincent Tong should've voiced regular Knuckles, not just alternate versions.
Devan Mack would be the best sonic since Ryan if he had good direction, in the yt vid where he revealed he would play sonic, he sounded great, but in the show it self, he sounds terrible, and Vincent tongue knuckles is the best knuckles since SA2, i'm tired of deep voice knuckles

I don’t think this is the worst show I think it’s more of OG fans being so attached to how the OG games are and to have something completely different that explores new characters multiverse style is not everyone’s cup of tea because everyone is doing the multiverse thing rn and having that with Sonic might be what fans don’t like about this series as opposed to the same format we get all the time but I do think it’s not bad I feel like people wanted this series to last longer than 3 seasons. For me personally I enjoyed it for what it was the fight scenes were amazing and I love how smooth the animation is some of the writing is meh in places and some of the dialogue of the characters could have been better but other than that I am happy for what we got with this series although i have a feeling we’re gonna get a Sonic Prime Movie with Revenge of the chaos Council or something I just don’t feel like a S4 is needed but a movie being it’s epilogue would be cool and plus I have a feeling Super Sonic will finally happen because we get Super Sonic in some form in every sonic installment at least once and the chaos emeralds although weren’t in this I have a feeling they’ll play a part when it comes to stopping eggman once and for all
Nah, being different to the games has nothing to do with criticism. All of the previous shows were different too, but I like them all except the boring chore called Sonic X. The Prime just didn't deserve to last 3 seasons, its story is so cheap that everything can be literally summed up in 8-12 actual episodes.

Funny thing is, the executive producer has also said Prime occurs outside the main timeline of the games, and writer Omar Spahi has said this show builds a different world than the games do. So we can add PR to the list of things this show fucks up.

Shadow & Mephiles has some great Lines together… I can’t say the same about Silver & Blaze. First off, I do not buy Them as friends. They act more like buisness partners, so that last scene of Silver being like “Nooo! You’re my friend!” Doesn’t land for me. Silver also has very little characterazation in 06. Most of What he says is like “I’m gonna save the future!” He doesn’t have much of a personality. Mephiles has his cool moments here and there… but he’s also a freaking idiot. Like in the Final story, he uses a Chaos Emerald to bring the other 6 to him… why didn’t he do that before. And also, why did he trick Silver to destroy Sonic even Though he’s been shown to do it himself? And also, why did he want Shadow on his side? That doesn’t make him look like a cool villain, it makes him a stupid idiot.
@themissingbits6375 I still don't understand how can we 06 as anything valuable since Sega established it as the reboot of the series and therefore nothing really happened. Silver is literally Trunks rip-off, what characterization he could've gotten in that case? In Mephiles defense, the other villians did same stupid decisions. But yeah, outside of design and the theme he's just Black Doom 2.0(at least he wasn't thrown in to rewrite already established events like Black Doom). We could've at least gotten a cool fight with him, but nope, it was the angry mindless giant monster again.
I personally enjoyed the show. Even if season 3 felt like it dragged things out a bit too much. But I loved how Shadow was written across the series and seeing the bond between the 3 Roses was adorable.

Sonic Prime is basically the PBS kids Avengers endgame tho. Tbh most Sonic shows are mid (Underground is just trash) but with how the writers hyped up the show back when the show was announced n literally having multiple opportunities to make the multversus story interesting, Prime could have been something bigger for the Sonic franchise yet it just a massive waste of time.

At least he cared, just like Nigel Kitching and all the other writers cared about Fleetway Sonic comics and even took part in writing "official" fan continuation while Flynn didn't even bother to do Underground finale comic like he promised to.

Yes. Sure, Underground is definitely the worst quality wise but, there is one reason this show easily tumos that. Missed potential. Sonic Prime was just a basic ass multiverse show with the Sonic brand slapped onto it, when it could've been an epic adventure with Sonic exploring the various different official Sonic continuites and having to unite them all to stop this multiversal threat (for example, a super emerald powered Time Eater). But instead we got this generic show with the sonic brand slapped onto it.
And that's what makes Sonic Prime the worst show. Whether you like Sonic Underground or not, you're gotta admit at least it was trying to do something unique and while the story went nowhere, the main characters were fleshed out and given much more screentime to explore their inner world. Prime while also attempting at that seems like avoiding it just for action as its only strong point. And its not like you need big budget or astonishing cgi to make good show, Sonic Boom was cheaper in that regard and it didn't stop the show to be good
I think it did so well because it's sonic and the animation gives that sweet dopamine kick. I admit though I underestimated sonic's pull in media still being so strong in the mainstream. I should've seen a tv show like this doing well regardless of quality of story and execution of themes.

I can tell in advance: The only reason fans will remember this show is New Yoke and its analog existence to Forces.
I doubt this show had the budget to do anything interesting, visually, seeing as how Green Hills and characters were reused four times.

This video definitely tells that Sonic Prime is not for everyone nor should it meant to be. I personally liked the show. Except Season 2, don't at me.
