You all have to be educated to know that what you read in terms of planetary evolution, its false teaching so you spread garbage. Planets come from the gas giants, they are like mothers whos planets are water world with silicate cores of granite, This primitive core is still in Mars, which is due to Mars position in the solar system and has nothing to do with its inability to become like Earth but rather time stands in its way.
That’s very true, I didn’t think about that. Would you even be able to see Saturn at all through all that extremely thick haze? I mean, it looks as if the entire sky is just pure orange-brown, with little to no differences in color or shade.
The problem with that is you wouldn't see anything. Saturn has an incredibly thick and smoggy atmosphere. One that basically covers the entire moon. On a rare clear day you may be able to sort of see it but trust me, it wouldn't be like we imagine it, unfortunately.
Ahead of its time. I'd have honestly recommended to NASA to get a space-infrastructure in place and, also, to await a fusion drive before attempting an orbiter there. I guess it's good they don't listen to me. I still think we should have that infrastructure and a fusion drive. Maybe for the orbiter around the planet after Saturn which RUclips probably won't let me name.
Due to Titan's atmosphere, a base there would not need to worry about low air pressure outside. The only problems would be the cold and the lack of breathable air. Titan has water in the form of ice which could be melted. Water also offers oxygen and hydrogen when separated. Saturn's magnetic field may help reduce solar wind
I think power generation would be by far the biggest issue. You can't use solar power, wind power, geothermal power, hydroelectric power, you can't burn the abundant fuel resources for power because there's no available oxygen that isn't attached to other molecules. You could do nuclear power but you'd probably have to ship in the nuclear fuel from Earth because Titan doesn't likely have significant fissile or fertile material in its crust. You could do deep mining on Titan much more easily than on Earth, but as its crust is likely poor in heavy metals and rare elements, it's not likely to be a very fruitful venture.
That final image shrouded in a thick amber haze kinda reminds me of the first ground level Mars and Venus images, too shrouded in a thick reddish and yellow haze, respectively. So fascinating
So alien, so bizarre. Definitely not a holiday destination. Fascinating though. Thank you Rob. I hope that you and Rolo will have a blessed Christmas 🙏 and that the new year will be happy, healthy and prosperous for you.😊
If a human stood on Titan, the difference in temperature between their body and the surrounding environment would be around 215°C. Our explorer would seem like the fiery Barog to the local Titans living there!
Scientists on Huygens' imaging team only got half of the pictures they had hoped for during the descent. They expected to have more than 700 images from the 2.5-hour flight, and only got about 350. Data from the Doppler-shift experiment, which measured subtle changes in the wind speeds that Huygens experienced, was also lost. The Huygens transmissions were sent on two channels that used slightly different microwave frequencies. Most of the probe's data were duplicated on each channel, like two different radio stations broadcasting the same programme. "The information is so important you carry it twice, it's a redundant system," explains David Southwood, director of science for the European Space Agency (ESA), which built and operated the probe. That redundancy saved the mission from failure. Cassini had two different receivers to collect the data from Huygens, and one of them did not work. The Channel A receiver was simply not turned on during the mission. "There's no mystery why it didn't turn on," says one scientist on the imaging team, who was upset by the loss. "The command was never sent to switch it on."

Even if humankind could find a way to travel to Titan and back within a reasonable amount of time and if this moon was worth exploring, there are a multitude of additional major issues which would have to be resolved prior to attempting such a voyage. So, just to name a few, there would be the matter of regenerating breathable air, food, water, building a habitat, having the necessary equipment to conduct exploration, dealing with high levels of radiation and other toxic issues in the atmosphere and much, much more. Therefore, while we can certainly develop robots to do much (not all) of the developmental work in advance, safely landing and sustaining humans on Titan would be a completely different matter that would have to be reserved for some time in the more distant future.

Or does Earth think its a moon? Titan's atmosphere is slightly thicker than ours. Venus is 92 times denser. Earth lost its deadly atmosphere when Theia crashed into it billions of years ago.
There could be tides, right? I mean it's orbiting a gas giant, so even if there is less surface tension on the liquid, or if it's not a massive ocean that covers that whole moon, it's going to going to have a significantly great pull than our moon does to our oceans. That could explain some of the changes maybe?

Lack of sunlight too. Forget solar powerplants. Nuclear is the only option.
