    *Notes: During rush hours and middays, some (6) trains become designated as (6X) trains that run via Pelham Express between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Parkchester-East 177th Street (towards Manhattan from about 6:11 A.M. to 12:12 P.M. and towards Pelham Bay Park from about 12:30 P.M. to 8:16 P.M.) bypassing Brook Avenue, Cypress Avenue, East 143rd Street-St. Mary's Street, East 149th Street, Longwood Avenue,Whitlock Avenue, Elder Avenue, Morrison Avenue-Soundview, and St. Lawrence Avenue along the way.
    *Due to capacity issues at Pelham Bay Park, all (6) local trains terminate and originate at Parkchester-East 177th Street during the time the (6X) runs in the peak direction. The (6X) trains run local in between Parkchester and Pelham Bay Park in the peak direction stopping at Castle Hill Avenue, Zerega Avenue, Westchester Square-East Tremont Avenue, Middletown Road, and Buhre Avenue along the way in their place.
