Your story telling was emotional Thomas, I know the story well from then and later. I have worn out many a Joni Mitchell album in my day. I'm sure I'd have needed a box of tissues. When the Angel sings it's hard to deny. Thank You as always. 🎉
Yeah, those speaker are great but be careful if you hear it at Axpona, not the same sound. The one at Axpona measures more flat, which is not my preference.
Thomas congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 on the TS A75: reviews ate confirming its Giant Killer Status. I personally never doubted it would be fantastic. And I was over joyrd to hear from many reviewers expressing that regardless of Pre Amp it was Holographic across the board. Though Iceas surprised it doesn't cone with VU Meters... Maybe you can make an upgraded version with neters and call it the TS A75m Ahahahahahaha "there is no secret to the secret ingredian soup!"
Thanks Thomas, I am am always happy to see you !!! XLO cables does really good job, when we tried them with your system it performed very good, I wish you will have there jumper cables too.
Hello, The video shows how the speakers are connected via the bi-wiring connection with a normal (2-wire) speaker cable (7:43). Have you inserted the first plug into the treble terminal and the second plug into the bass terminal? Am I correct? Why don't you connect both speakers to the woofer connection, as is usually recommended? What are the advantages of this connection method? Greetings, Michael.🤔
lol this vid appeared on my feed so i watched it again and have a new comment. were you at Toronto Audiofest? the Monitor Hyphn was significantly better at the Toronto show. they were far less aggressive at Montreal and, as i understand it, that's because some people complained they were too loud the last time. someone sitting next to me said "i am not sure these are worth $120,000" and my reply was "you would have no doubts if you heard them in Toronto" The bass produced by the isobaric "force cancelling" design is astonishing.
Thomas, very good Video, and very good explanation, eg about the ns-2000a, hightech material, hightech construction but for me they sound so flat. I invite you to check my system when you come to Berlin :) and of course I dont have Subwoofer for boom boom boom 😂
It depends on the room, speaker and the amount of people in the room. The problem with my room is once you pass a certain volume, it gets aggressive and the bass drowns the details. That is why when I was in the room, I tried really hard to keep fine tunign the sound, even during a song. The problem when the volume is too low, and there is a lot of background noise, people cannot 'hear' the speakers. I personally like 80 to 85db at a show. Not 90 to 100db.
@@ThomasAndStereoThank you for providing the information, and please accept my apologies for the delayed response. I truly appreciate your work and dedication.
True! Me too at 40 I am feeling now quite old already for moving around or worst, up and down stairs, heavy tower speakers... A chance also that more and more class D lighter amps are getting better and better now/!
Galion instant noodles, affordable room treatment or subliminal message to save up and buy more expensive gear? Great report that fills the blanks on some rooms I missed.
@@ThomasAndStereo well it was worth it lol. but yes, i wanted to see if there was anything i missed at the show. i also wrote a review (with still shot pics) and covered about 30 rooms. pretty bummed i missed Genelec and Estelon
I actually asked them to lower the volume so I could listen carefully. The problem is the bass was a bit too much like our room so I could not hear the full potential. It sounded like it had a v curve, very detail with strong bass. Mids, from memory is not on the romantic side but it was not as recessed as the svs ultra.
@@ThomasAndStereo nice. Then it would be interesting to compare those against the (still quite new on the market) Canadian Paradigm Founder 40B bookshelf
So much has to do with the recording, unless you are intimate to what they are playing it's impossible to judge 1 system from the next, especially when there playing digital recordings.
Digital recording is not easy to demo. Way easier to run “Lazy System “ ( CD player and Turntable). Digital is really hard to setup and have a really analog sound.
@@leonidyamborko4531 CD would be digital, but I do agree albums would be the way to go for particular music. May not be bass heavy enough for some setups.
@@gtric1466Bass heavy mean is something is not matched. Heavy bass music should sound heavy, normal bass music should sound as recorded. Everything in the system should sound as it recorded. Glad it was entertaining!
Well done Thomas! It was a pleasure meeting and listening to Le 9 with you in the Audio Note room.
Thanks and yes, Le 9 was fantastic.
Mic pop filter. haha. =) I loved the room. Great designs and sound, man.. Kudos.
Looking forward to hearing them more!
Great to see you

Hi Thomas, will you be at Axpona next week. Hoping to see you equipment and meet you. Thanks Bob
Sadly no.
Hey Thomas cant wait for the TA20! Just wondering how much will it be?
Thanks, $3750 usd, design and made in Canada
Great price!! The price is mention at the end of the video haha You replied before I get to the end of the video haha thanks!! Can’t wait!
When you finish tweaking the Gallion preamplifier, any idea on the possible price range? 😊😊😊😊
Between $1995 to $2495. It all depends on the components I use in the final version. In about 4 months.
@ThomasAndStereo Nice, thanks for the response.
Will it have hdmi?
Say dear Thomas what is the name of the small tags or pegs used inside the speaker. Cant get enough of your stories, they are fun.
I think they got them from Tri Art. Email and ask altitudo
What do you think of coaxial driver speakers like KEF blade versus 2 way?
I actually don't think much of it in the sense if you blind test me, I cannot tell what I listen to is coaxial or not.
Tube pre-amp in the works? Consider me interested.
Yup, almost ready.
Thomas, I’m with you man. Low level listening. Should sum it up
