There is something really haunting about this song (beyond Marianne Faithfulls magical voice) but can anyone explain the meaning of it to me? I keep interpreting it in slightly different ways.

the 70ies among many other things , meant te end of a dream. A worldwide dream of armony, peace and love. Maybe there is also a citation of the flower children movement/sect of those yeas in florida. If i am not recalling wrong.
