This is embarrassing but it is what it is. I'm a 37 year old man, never understood or was never explained what prime numbers are. Thanks to you Sir, I now know.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Sometimes because my age I feel the same, but I try not to forget that never is late to learn
your age is prime
Numbers only divisible by 1 & itself. I can memorize all the 2 & 3 digit primes. 4 digit ones are tough. I can mentally break down 3 digit numbers.
dont be embarrassed you are never too old. I never understood this topic back in school and im here too. you keep pushing
me neither 😬

IT'S FUN LEARNING WITH MR J❤❤
That was a nice video I like it ❤❤❤❤
Why is it important??? Why does it matter???? Will someone please tell me why the hell it matters if a number is Prime??
Thank you so much I've been so confused about prime numbers thanks
Adding 1 to a random number changes all the factors of that number.
48= 2*2*2*2*3
Like 49=7*7.
In the light of this information, we know that if we start from 1 and multiply the numbers consecutively and add 1, the resulting number is not divided by any of the previous multipliers.
that is, if we add 1 consecutively to infinity, we can get a prime number at infinity.
in an other saying
forever! +1 is definitely a prime number. #math #maths #mathematics #primenumbers
thanks Mr.J I have subscribe to you channel today because I learned math so easy thanks for your help

I learn a lot from you Mr.J I was slow at math at my class but because of your math I now am good at math . I am already subscribe with all notification on 😊
I don’t get it :(
Same
I shouldn't be more than 2 factors
Exactly it shouldn’t be more than two factors for example, 3 you only can time it with one and three but six, for example you can times it two and three and six and one so these are more than two factors which are not prime
BTW, two is the only even number that is prime
If a number is prime only 1 X (the number) works.
So with 3. You can only do 1 x 3 meaning it’s prime
But with 8. You can do 1 x 8 but also 4 x 2. Meaning it’s not prime because there are more multiplications that can equal the number.
Hey mr J I have a exam tomorrow it’s currently 6:34pm for me and I was studying and found this question “how to multiply 12 with the least number that devides exactly 9 & 18” I don’t understand what this question means and I can’t solve it if u see this in time can u please explain this btw it’s my final exam so it’s really important
This explains so much and u help me understand what prime numbers is
The equations that define the Prime Number Sequence were found and proven 11 years ago: ruclips.net/video/BDUv0KzjUn4/видео.html
Can you show us how to add pairs of prime numbers but exclude 2 from your addition please that's what we are learning and I don't understand it
Can you be my teacher
Does that mean that prime numbers won't show up in a multiplication table?
Question Primes are primes whose index numbers are a prime; if all further reductions of that index number are as well, it is an Endogenous Prime. Candid Primes, the digits of the prime added up are a Prime, and all further reductions as well. Feral Primes are both Endogenous and Candid. Magnificent Primes are oftern called Primeth-recurrence Primes, 3,5,11, 31, 127. etc.... The "infinite" sum of the reciprocals all Primes is 33; the error is made perhaps due to the false belief that there are numbers greater than 10^77, or smaller than its reciprocal. Such numbers are called Malevolent Numbers, and should not be recognized. Neither should an imaginary square root of -1 be. The sum of the Harmonic Series hasn't more than 11 digits, reason for the error is the same...

I don’t think you need this in your life. Nowadays math here in USA is way too confusing. They make kids confuse more than the math itself! My 4th grader comes home with weird way they teach them math! It just more confusing for kids!
Thank you your vedios are nice and easy to understand ❤
can someone explain why any of this matters in the real world like okay you now know what a prime and composite number is now what is the point of knowing that 2 is a prime number because the factors are 1 and 2 and them multiplied together make up the number 2? Is there like some hidden magic that we learn after knowing this about numbers? Who cares about numbers?! and how can u assume 5,462 is composite just because u see the 2 at the end u take that information of the 2 at the end and then jump and say its composite / even HOW?? just because u see the 2?? omg I hate math ya u lost me on 5) screw this. because u see the 2 u know it has to be even/composite because the 2 is at the end i guess? omg i hate numbers
I have my math exams tomorrow and this vid helped alot Much Appreciated Mr.J!!

I have no idea what you are talking about ! Why isn’t 13 a prime ? 7 + 6 = 13 so what’s the difference ! Why do we need prime numbers to begin with ! What do they mean ? Why do we need them ! What makes prime numbers so darn important ? 😡😡
that was helpful
I was thinking of teaching my self coding and I couldn't finish the simple homework POV I'm graduate with a BA embarrassing 😅
whoa this may sound very stupid, im in first year in secondary school and i have a test with venn diagrams and all that bullshit including prime numbers coming tommorow and i have no CLUE what prime numbers are but this video may have saved me. Thank you
Thank you so much Mr. J you just helped a mom of two toddler learning math again.
Why not 1.5 x2 = 3. Sorry but I'm terrible at math. When we talk of factors we have to use whole numbers??
Thank you very much for teaching me today
My question; why did my teachers not just say this? I couldnt make sense of the way they "taught" this! This and the Lcd!
