Thank you for one more BB King video. They are most welcome. BB King is the King of Blues! My favorite always! I love him. He has so much soul in his playing. Thank you!
This is invaluable, I think when you want to learn a style you have to learn how that player thinks and how they get to that certain note or phrase. Also love how every time BB talks he is always downplaying his talent. He is one of or maybe THE most influential guitarist ever and he talks about how he could improve. What a guy
So much love for B.B. King. He was in a Guitar Center near me one time in Fountain Valley, California, and told one of the young guitar players that he could learn something from the kid. And the employee later told us the kid felt a little insulted because he thought BB was being sarcastic. But BB was one of the most sincere and humble greats there ever was. I really appreciate you putting the tablature with this although it would’ve also been good to have the notes because I read notes better than tablature.
The genuine humility, is so appealing… it makes you want to listen more intently to what he says.. I’m so glad I got to see BB live, along with Buddy Guy, two giants, in my book.. BB could get more out of a single note, than any player I ever heard.. He definitely told stories.. with his guitar… not to mention his singing, that was out of this world.. he played and sang, with his heart, what a beautiful talent God shared with us..
Your Speaking Facts nobody can make a guitar sound like BB but BB. Whoever said he was overrated doesn’t understand real music and they definitely don’t understand the Blues.
Playing fast is overrated. Hendrix didn't play fast he played what he wanted to hear, it just came out fast. Shredding is overrated, Jimi didn't shred, the guitar shredded him.
@@easymoney94 exactly. Anybody can play extremely fast if they put the necessary time towards it. At that point though, it's less of an "art" to me. It's a "contest". It's ego. It's the desire for "perfection". To me, perfection doesn't speak to me. But a tasteful single note from BB King, David Gilmour, George Harrison, Carlos Santana, etc.... with the right vibrato and dynamic can speak directly to the heart. As a kid, I never understood BB King because he didn't play "fast". I idolized Steve Vai and EVH. Great players and they got great feel too. But BB King is something else.
@@Sldumas1983 right! SRV and Clapton were the guys got me into the blues as a kid. I swear, I feel bad for people who choose not to understand the blues.
Important thing he told us all... Everybody can do it if he/she really want it ✌🏽eve thing is practice how u do it in the end is your way and that's exactly what we all searching for our own way BB. King once said every note is music remember and practise guys change the world with music 💯🎸🎶😎🍀🥰
"I could never be a good teacher..."
Mr. King, you have taught MILLIONS!!!

Not only a great blues player but also a very humble gentleman.

Unreal player. So many people call him overrated because he doesn't play "fast"... yet they can't make the guitar sing like him.

Down picking has its own sound that you cannot get from alternating down/up picking. I guess its best to be proficient at both.
12:46 forcibly reminded me of the spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3
16:57 "Bunny Castle" 😂 its Barney Kessel
The guy was unable to play chords. In the U2 movie he said "I don't play chords."
Unable? Nonsense. Listen more carefully.
@@Thomas-xs2kqmaybe not unable, but clearly not good at it
He can play some chords when needed, but has often said he never really spent time learning too many ..
He played chords in that movie 😂 Learn the difference between "can't" and "don't"
To make a long story short......................Dude please dont make it short, keep talking.
clapton is the best bbking would tell you that !
B.B. was the best. Clapton would tell you that
@@beboptom8640 bb himself said that clapton is better than him and than buddy guy when bb was inducting buddy into the royal hall of fame
